Guerlain products are my weakness, I went into the Guerlain store and saw this color, it seemed like a perfect 'nude'. I've been looking for a nude color for a while, something that gave me a 'lift' but still remained in the nude family. The SA used this over a lip pencil, the used one of the kiss kiss glosses over and the color looked good. I have to make sure to focus on my eyes and cheeks when I wear this. It's not my favorite color but because of the price I force myself to use this. I will not be buying this color again.

I have previously stated my misgivings about the packaging - yes, its supposed to be lux, and unique and all things that make it Guerlain. However, in moving towards a modern world - lux does not necessarily mean heavy or bulky. I would have liked to see something more innovative which while keeping with the quality and pedigree associated with Guerlain, would also be practical for daily use.
Anyway, packaging aside (and by the way, the mirror is great, but 2 of them is a bit of an overkill), the product is simply marvellous!
The colour is deep pink that pulls towards apricot, but is still predominently pink. It is a warm-based tone (but pulling towards neutral) so most people should be able to wear it without too much difficulty. It is a very bold colour, so it tends to dominate the face - necessitating that the rest of the make up is kept to a minimum.
The texture of the l/s is very creamy, but the pigment settles into the lip and the staying power is good. About 4 hours before needing to touch up - and after a hot cup of coffee.

I don't understand the hype on this product. A Guerlain SA gave it to me; a very sweet gesture from her but frankly I can't tell any difference between this and a Jane Liphugger or a Revlon SL in terms of feel, staying power or anything else. The color is nice on my freckled, NC-15-20 complexion & looks nice with blue eyes -- a warm bronzey slightly orange-rose. Gold shimmer is apparent on the lipstick in the tube and when I first apply it to my lips, but within minutes it's gone. It bleeds over my liplines unless I use a liner (not likely with me). The case is heavy and clunky; personally I don't want my makeup in show-off bits of sculpture. I prefer green packaging which is gentle on our planet and this isn't. Gracieuse in French means 'free', as in, given freely. A funny name an expensive piece of pigment.

Wow this is the best of the best guerlain lipsticks Ive bought in years. I have bought about five so far and have been estatic with the reds as I love the orange reds. Even the beige colour is soft yet enticing. To me it reminds me of the guerlain colours I used to love over 28 years ago and when this new lipstick came out I looked at the colours and yes...I had to buy. Expensive it is but my lips are softer and the texture is adorable. This lipstick case is heavy but has a great mirror and its such a unique design which I love. I really dont understand how anyone can rate it below a five as I have tried lipsticks but this is fantastic. It keeps my lips moist and the colours I have bought so far are fantastic. I hope this line lasts forever due to the fact I will be a lover of this lipstick. Simply the best and who cares if its pricey...what you ingest into ur mouth needs to be quality otherwise it can have ill health effects. I have heard that guerlain buys the topmost and purest of ingredients to make their lipsticks compared to other countries. Do buy one of these lippies and I am sure you will understand quality plus.

A luxe lipstick by Guerlain fulfills all its promises. a lightweight, long-lasting lip conditioning luxe lipstick with plenty of color. All that is true. Unfortunately I don't have other luxe lipsticks to compare it too. I never bought the clicky Chanel lipstick because they didn't have a color that was right for me. This lipstick comes in 25 colors and I chose no. 5.Gracieuse (which is French for gracious), a simple medium shimmery bronzey nude. It is a pleasure to put on and does last and does have a nice amount of color. Because this one is shimmery, it's not AS shiny and smooth as others, and also reapplication heaps on the shimmer and leaves a dry texture, so reapplication without complete removal is not an option. I look forward to trying other colors, there are a few hot pinks that are calling my name. But i do like this one, it really is a high quality lipstick that gives me a plump lip look because of the moist pearl look. It has a faint but very pretty scent. Oh, and it doesn't fill in the lines of my lips, so oh well for me.
The casing, which is its focal point, is awesome. A full metal case contains a mirror that flips open when the lipstick is removed. And there is no mechanical closure, it's held together by a magnet. Well thought out for sure, it's nice and weighty, if you find a color you love you will be hard-pressed to say no, despite the $45 price tag. And yes, the case is a total fingerprint magnet.
