Ciel Luscious Apricot smells like fresh apricots but has a tinge of skin musk or maybe a touch of leather--sometimes the fresh fruit has these same notes. I like this on its own, and it also has great potential for layering with other perfumes.

This is a fun line of inexpensive perfumes from a small perfumery in Oregon. They can be purchased for $30 ($27 with code "MUA" at beautycafe.com). Ciel Luscious Apricot is not a true apricot scent....rather, it's lightly fruity and clean. It is very light. For a nicer apricot, try Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Abricot or Laurence Dumont's Vanille Aprocot which have ripe juicy apricot softened by sweet vanilla. This is a very pale, lightly sweet and slightly clean scent, fairly non-descript. The staying power is very poor on this one (less than an hour), but this scent would be fun for a young girl or teen, just starting to wear perfumes.
