Despite the fact that I live in Hong Kong, which is known for its humidity and warm weather, my skin is dry and sensitive. If, however, I use the wrong product (with irritants or too thick / too heavy), my skin acts up and painful swollen big zits would appear along my chin, temples and nose. The humungous level of work stress and constantly working in air-conditioned rooms do not help in keeping my skin supple and soft.
This night cream works for me - as day cream.
Pros: it gets absorbed quickly but you don't need a lot (a chickpea size is what I use each time), it has a nice rose smell, you can control the potion easily with the tube packaging and it is reasonably priced.
Cons: it is not exactly moisturizing enough for me - to use it as a night cream, I would need to supplement it with some other thick face cream or therapeutic grade essential oil. As a day cream, however, it works wonder. I can even apply it under makeup!
All in all, it's a good product which I am happy to buy again. Meanwhile, I would still be looking for something possibly heavier and alternate between them depending on the weather, my skin condition and hormonal level.

I received a 5ml sample of this with my Glossybox and have just started using it. First impressions aren't great - I'm not a huge fan of the rose scent and it's quite sticky. It sank in a bit better than expected after a few minutes, but it reminds me too much of Burt's Bees facial skincare range which I also don't really get on with. I'm a bit worried this will block my pores and break me out, but time will tell...

Wild Rose Smoothing Night Cream - not sure if it's a different formulation
Pros
- hygienic packaging
- did not dry out skin
- cheap because I got it at Winner
- Organic
Cons
- smells terrible
- takes forever for it to be absorbed
- greasy as hell
- broke me out
I did not like this at all, it did nothing for my skin and it smells like ass and I think it was causing me to break out as well.

Although I've been using for a week, I cannot say fine lines have been eliminated as a result of the product use yet. But I will continue to monitor the progress.
What began as a quest to soften, soothe and calm my tight feeling, dry skin and the lines under my eyes, led me to examine every product in the skincare aisle at multiple health food stores while researching reviews on my smartphone.
Health food stores are great, yet sometime the prices of their skincare products are marked higher than retail price. What gives? Luckily, I found a CVS that randomly carried Weleda among other natural skincare lines like Burt's Bees and Alba. I was pleased at the $5.00 off discount as well. With the discount, I felt it was reasonably priced for being in such a small box.
The packaging is lovely and hot pink. The tube itself is the perfect size for travel. The scent of this night cream is a very calming rose scent and not too overpowering. On my face, it is very moisturizing and does not leave a sticky feeling to my skin. Because my face was so dry, the cream already was at work, absorbing into my face and leaving a cooling, soothing effect. It illuminated a dewy sheen and the lines under my eyes looked smoothed out.
So far so good. I am probably only going to use this when my skin freaks out into insane dryness as I have combination skin during the winter and more oily towards the spring and summer. I think this works best for normal to dry skin and during colder weather. If you're oily or acne prone, I'd definitely use sparingly or just apply the cream to the areas you need it. And all you need is a small amount. This cream is rich so a little goes a long way. Also if you plan on using this over any serums or anything with Retin-A or AHA's, be wary or avoid as much as possible. In my case, the Weleda night cream over the Sunday Riley Juno oil (which oddly has natural retinols in it) worked wonders. My face still looked incredibly glowy after 8 hours of sleep and the softness of my skin truly sold me on the effectiveness of this simple product.
Let's hope I feel the same way about this product in 4 weeks.

I was delighted to find this after reading the good reviews here on MUA. I used to use Weleda decades ago, when I was in high school and into anything "health foody". I was looking for a richer, more moisturizing night cream to use in winter, when my face gets quite dry and this seemed to fill the bill - not too pricey, no ridiculous promises and just a down-to-earth product. Unfortunately, I seem to react to something in this because every time I use it, I wake with one or 2 small pimples that disappear as the day wears on but they are definitely there in the morning. So, to use this up and not have it go to waste, I apply it on my throat and that seems to work fine, without any irritation but because of the red pimples it gives me on my cheeks, I won't repurchase this product.

I cannot afford to spend any more than 20$ on lotions and creams. Unfortunately this leaves me very few options anti-aging product-wise. I found this gem @ target for $7.98. The box was damaged majorly, but the contents was mint. I am the dryest, eczema, psoriasis& ridiculously sensitive and hive prone girl. This is rich, thickens as you rub it in, smells a lot like burts bees serums, which i adore, but are not in my budget. I have used this morning and night for several days and the lines on my forehead have softened already, my skin is clear and glowy and I am thrilled with my purchase. YAY!

I just don't get what others do from this product, and find myself wondering if perhaps others went from lousy products to this one in order to get such great results. I just finished my second tube of this stuff in a row, and it didn't really do anything for my skin. My wrinkles are still where they were before, my skin texture didn't improve, and I found it slightly greasy (but not so much so that it'd have bothered me if it worked). I'm fond of Weleda for their long-term commitment to healthy skincare, but I don't seem to get the results others do from their products. I think I'm going to try to force myself to read this review when, inevitably, I am tempted to re-buy. Next!

I really wanted to like this product. I really enjoy the Weleda lip balm and shower creams, but this product really killed my face. It felt really nice applying it at night. The cream felt light but penetrating. In the morning my skin didn't feel so greasy as with other synthetic-based night creams. However after 3 days of use, I started developing huge (really no joke, dime-sized) cystic welts in my t-zone; one on each side of my nose. I stopped using the cream and they went away (still have the scars). Didn't want to totally blame the product at first (could have been stress or something, right?) but upon a second attempt (in my never-breaking-out areas) I also developed huge, painful cystic acne. It's unfortunate but if you're one who has sensitive skin (which I didn't think I had), I would test this product on your neck or side of the face.

LOve this night cream. It's perfect when you don't need much hydration though, so i love using it alone in the summer time. In the winter, I usually wear a bit of jojoba oil right before applying this product. I'm also in love with the smell of roses and I love the fact that my skin looks great the next morning, like a natural glow.

Was lucky to find this at Winners for 7 dollars but it's worth every penny of the original price. As rich and emolient as this feels on the skin it's very gentle and calming. So little is needed in fact on the directions it instructs you to use only enough cream that will readily sink into your skin. No need to slather it on for the wonderful effects this will give you. I actually look forward after a long day to washing my face and using this. Highly recommended.

Plus(+): all natural ingredient cream, rich but non heavy, ideal for winter dry skin, agreeable scent, moisturizing, hygienic packaging, reasonable price, can be worn as a face mask
Minus(-): not easy to find (only in bio shops) except in Germany/Austria.

This cream has been discontinued and replaced by a new rose night cream which is not at all as good! I'm a huge fan of Weleda and used to love this cream. Last winter it was my fave night cream. Unfortunately Weleda has now introduced some changes and at least here in Europe the counters are slowly filling with the successor to this cream, i.e. the Wild Rose Smoothing Night Cream. The ingredients list has not changed (?) but the consistency, scent and overall feel of the cream is different. The former version was slightly thicker and had a stronger scent of roses. It was also superlovely for my sensitive combo skin, which would just drink up the luxurious cream and I always woke up with a perfect glow. This new version is a lot thinner and seems to stay on top of my skin. There is definitely no glow anymore, the cream is drying and I have received fine lines while using this (!). I wonder whether they have upped the alcohol content in the cream, maybe this is why it is now thinner and has such a weird scent. It also seems to break out my skin. Im very disappointed with the changes and cannot understand why a perfectly good, traditional cream was changed for the worse.

This is a perfectly adequate night cream. It's not quite as amazing as some other more expensive brands I have used, but I like that it's natural and from a product line I love. I have combination skin and this cream pairs beautifully with it. It moisturizes my sometimes dry cheeks and doesn't make my t zone any oilier. I have noticed that Weleda's products seem to even out my skin tone and tone down redness which I love. I usually wake up to a nice glow. This is an especially nice night cream for winter time.

Last year in the autumn, I staterted to have a patch dry skin on my forehead and around my nose areas. As I did use a quite light night cream in the summer, I began my search for a recentable price, decent night cream to get rid of all the problem. Then I found Weleda Wild Rose Night Cream, my holy grail, that did just that!!!!
First, I thought the cream was too heavy for me, cause it left the oily greasy feel to my skin. So, I used less cream and it has changed my skin since then!! No more dry skin,No break out, Reduced fine lines on my forehead and give me radiance amazing skin!
I only apply the pea-sized amount on each area (both cheeks, forehead, shin&nose and neck) and wake up with a softest smoothest face EVER! People always compliment me how good my skin looks, especially when I have NO MAKEUP on and always ask what kind of moisturiser I'm using, which never happened to me before!
I cant praise this product enough and will definitely recommend for anyone who are looking for a recentable price natural product that WORKS. LOVE IT!!!!

I bought this because of the reviews here, and although I probably won't repurchase it, I do recommend it. Let me say that I have repurchased this product, and I'm on my second tube. This product has no WOW factor for me. This product was my second purchase in the 'natural', 'organic', 'biodynamic' arena. Weleda makes quality products, but I like their Skin Food better. Besides, I moved on to more expensive products from Eminence. I do like this. It didn't make my skin breakout, but it wasn't moisturizing enough for my retin-a parched skin. I get a glow without flakies from Skin Food, but I don't use that on my face everyday. Now I use a Jurlique face oil twice a day. I'm new to organic skincare, so it was sure thing that I would move on to other (re: more expensive) products. Also (and I don't know why), I consider $30 to be steep for a drugstore product. It's only an ounce, and I get 2.5 ounces of Skin Food for half the price. Now with that said, I don't know why I don't have issues dropping five times that amount on Suki or Eminence. ???? Go figure. This is a nice night cream. Just that, nice, and not WOW! I repurchased this product because I was going to buy the Wild Rose cleanser, but instead, ended up purchasing some amazing products by Eminence. I don't like to rate products on their price, because if something is HG, price isn't an issue. For me this product was just OK. Maybe I should have used it over several months, but I've been a makeup/skincare junkie since I noticed a nose full of blackheads at age 9, so I know pretty quick if it's going to work for me or not. I like the texture of this cream. It has a mousse-like texture. It can be greasy if your skin is very dry, or very oily. It did smooth my skin, but so does Skin Food. I love Weleda's metal tube packaging, and wish other companies would do the same. I can see why other reviewers rate this so high, but this product doesn't work well with my Retin-A, or other products that I do love.

I purchased this moisturizer after reading reviews here, and I am very impressed. I had some problems with my old moisturizer (Kiehl's Ultra facial cream), which made my skin dry and dull with reddish patches. Since I switched to this night cream, my face looks so much clearer and radiant. I also love the texture: since this cream does not contain silicone, it applies more like a balm. It looks rich, but if I massage in, it completely sinks in and leaves skin so soft without being greasy. Smells nice, too. If you have normal-dry skin and don't have problems with natural ingredients, I think it's worth trying.

For reference, my skin is normal to dry.
I love almost everything about this moisturizer, it has a really lovely scent, kind of like a rose forest and it does make my skin look more glowy the next day. I'd say my only complaint is that this cream is a *tad* too rich for my skin because I'll wake up with a slight oily film the next day. I might use it again during the winter months but it is definitely not a cream I would use for spring or summer.

I really did not notice the softening effects that everyone else describes. However, I love this product. The main thing that I noticed was the disappearance of the fine lines around my mouth. They are completely gone. In addition, I love the scent. The product did not break me out which is good and you cant beat the price for such a fine product.

This is a great product! I like it so much, and after all the Kiehl's products over the years, I'm happy to have something to put on my face that has the hint of a natural, pleasant scent. It feels like you're doing something very special for your skin, and then you wake up with a baby soft face. That's nice, like a baby's bottom, only a booty filled with roses.
