Call me silly, but for a fragrance called AMBER D'ORO (GOLD AMBER), I was expecting an amber-based oriental with golden references & overtones. Silly me. AMBRE D'ORO is a dreadful little white floral that could be an Ellen Tracy flanker. Actually, that would be an insult to Ellen Tracy flankers. Run away, far, far away.

On of my monthly magazines did a special on scents which are suitable for fragrancing the hair and are also great for summer. This Ambre D'oro (Golden Amber) was mentioned but they did not write the manufacturer's name. Then and there my curiosity was awoken as the bottle was so beautiful. I searched the net and found out that it was by Tova and sold on QVC so I ordered. I have been trying this out for the last two months as I waited for a bit warmer weather as it is not your typical winter fragrance - too fresh.


Out of all the fragrances which I bought from Tova this one was the best. This is a great fragrance and I am supprised at the low price point. Don't let the fact that this is very inexpensive or sold on QVC turn you away. This is a quality scent. Ambre D'oro is very fresh and the lasting power is amazing. It goes all day like the little clock which refuses to stop ticking. I love to spray this in the air and walk underneath in order to get a bit of the fragrance in my hair. The bottle also looks fabulous on my dressing table.


The production description of the fragrance below is very true to word so I will not write my own. I highly recommend this scent as it is a hidden gem.

Beautiful bottle and beautiful scent from Tova. I believe this fragrance was released right before Christmas. Reminds me of Juicy Couture without the muskiness. Actually, smells a great deal like Juicy Couture. Amazing lasting power, I still smelled it the next day on my wrist!
