On my pigmented lips this is a perfect colour. I dont like glosses that are see through or overly glossy (I know its a contradiction in terms) so tend to either use opaque glosses, or a lipstick with a gloss on top. With this I dont have to. Staying power is not good but Im used to it.

If you like MACs hug me this is along the same lines. A slightly more deeper version of this is Good to Go which I sometimes layer under this.

Ive already purchased backup.

I love the color of this product on my NC30 skintone. It's not really a red, a pink, or a nude but kind of a combination of all. It brightens my face without being too harsh or overbearing.

The only thing I do not like about it is the fact that it's SO creamy that it rubs off too fast. I have to reapply it constantly and with it being so soft, the lipstick loses shape easily in the tube.

Would repurchase though, just because of the beautiful color.

This is such a lovely, flattering color. It's a nude shade that's not muddy looking and would favor many different skin tones. It feels nice on. Yet, the lipstick's wear is very poor. Since the lipstick is so emollient, it lasts for a short time. Bummer.

I love the colur of this lippy its like a slightly nude pink with a hit of mauve/plum if that makes sense! The colour is just stunning and it looks perfect with my nc30 skin. It applies beautifully and has an amazing silky moisturising texture which feels amazing. This is my everyday lipstick my only problem isnt very long lasting and needs to be reapplied a few times in the day. Other than that I love it!

I bought this product from sephora, where I tried on nearly all the lipsticks in the store looking for my "everyday wear" shade (a colour that was close to my natural skin tone). On terms of shade, this lipstick was perfect. A nice colour between pinky and neutral. 5/5 hands down for me. The packaging was nice and sleek, nothing too obscure or abstract. The cardboard box was poor quality though--but nobody cares about that except me...I like to keep my lipsticks in their cardboard boxes. The only downside was the staying power. I have to reapply every 1.5 hours or so...but the smooth, creamy texture is so nice upon application, so I'm not really complaining. And 23$ is a fair price, I guess. More expensive than the MACs I used to buy, but since my persnickety self could not find "the perfect shade", taking absolutely no mercy on the salesperson who must have given me a hundred swatches to try, I'm quite happy paying a little more for that perfect colour.

One of my favorite lipsticks of all time. It's weightless and yet moist on the lips, and really shiny. Skinny Dip is a gorgeous, natural color on my fair skin tone. I tend to find Benefit very hit-or-miss, but the Silky Finish lipsticks are divine. They're not meant to last through meals or heavy make-out sessions, that's true. But when a lipstick feels this nice, re-applying feels more like self-pampering. It's almost like a gloss, really. I will say that the barely-there colors (like this one) seem more suited to the silky formula. The darker shades tend to smear and look messy quickly after applying. I suggest sticking to the lighter and more natural shades—some of the colors are also shimmery/glittery.

My H/G daily lipstick - doesn't have a lot of staying power, but as long as I don't have a makeout session with my husband it lasts ok.
The color is really what I'm in love with.... It's similar to my own lip color but better and keeps my lips feeling super soft. I'll keep buying this as long as it stays around!

I like that this is somewhat moisturizing and therefore doesn't settle into the lines in lips very easily, and has a slight shine. It has the consistency of warm butter. But I think the tradeoff here is terrible staying power - it's barely better than a gloss, and definitely can't last eating or drinking.

As to the color, Skinny Dip is a pinky nude. I find that it matches my skintone a little too closely, and like a previous reviewer commented it looks just like I'm wearing a gloss. I don't want to hit too hard for that though because it might be flattering on another skin tone, and it is a nude lipstick, after all.

This is gorgeous. The perfect nude but has enough pigment you don't feel washed out at all with it on. Feminine and subtle. Extremely smooth to apply and has shine but NOT too much shine so you feel like you're sticky or wearing a gloss. My new HG daily l/s!! :)

This is like MAC's slimshine in Bare's older darker sister. Bare is pinky rose while Skinny Dip is a more deeper rose (against my NC 30 skintone). I like Skinny Dip more than Bare. It goes on more opaque(less product to use) and it is more moisturizing (like BUTTER). The thing I did not like about Bare was that it accentuated any dryness I had on my lips (which is not very much, but there is some) and it was not very moisturizing (it eventually drys a little, leaving my lips with a tacky feel). Skinny Dip did not give me any dryness or that sticky feeling. Not long lasting (had to reapply after lunch, which is typical for any lipstick with me), but neither is Bare. It is more expensive BUT, slimshines are discontinued/HTF, there's a ton more product in Skinny Dip than Bare, and because of the opaqueness and high pigmentation, I do use less product. So, it works out better to go with Skinny Dip. I will repurchase this, or swap my Bare for it.

I really like the finish of these. There is a good amount of shine but not an obvious amount. Another positive is that is adds moisture. In comparison to my mac slimshine, this lipstick does not grab on the dry skin and bring it out and sink in the lines. It glides over and feels smooth. You get a good amount of product and mine has lasted me quite a long time and has yet to go off and hasnt got that crayon terrible smell. I really like this color, its a subtle pink nude shade but definately closer to a coral pink than a nude. I am grateful that is has no shimmer/glitter and i feel that its the perfect natural color mositurized lip.

Tastes very bad - Terrible! Colour is beautiful. It's my to-go lipstick that I always keep in my purse. Creamy. Does not last long, but it is somewhat moisturizing. Smooth application. Good coverage. I may purchase another colour.

So I only bought this product because I had a gift card to Macy's and I've wanted to try out BeneFit's products for a while now. 18 bucks for a lipstick is pretty expensive, and it's not even that great of a lipstick either. It's silky, but TOO silky. The color does not stay on at all. I bought mine in Skinny Dip, which apparently is their top selling color, but since I have dark lips, this color just fades away. It looks like I have gloss on and no lipstick. If you hate to reapply lipstick, then don't get this product because it doesn't stay on for a long time at all. I am quite disappointed :(

The packaging is cute tho, but overall, I would not buy this product again.

I love the way this looks on, but worn alone it really has no staying power. However, worn over lipliner, it actually stays put pretty well.
As for the color payoff, it's quite sheer and nude, but the level of glossiness is perfect. I like to wear this when my eye makeup is very dramatic and I'm all dressed up.
It's really pretty, but if I'm being honest I doubt I'll buy it again. I have other nude lipsticks that I like better.

If I could, I would give this lipstick a 3.5. On my skintone (NW15), this is a great MLBB or slightly darker/pinker shade. It's a nice pink-y nude that would go well with dramatic eyes or if you just want your overall makeup look to be very fresh and natural. It glides right on and is super creamy and glossy. The major problem with it, and the reason I wouldn't buy it again, is that it has TERRIBLE staying power. I suppose that's because it's so glossy and has so much slip to it, but I've worn actual glosses that wear longer than this. I bet if you wore a lipliner under this it would prolong its wear, but I like to keep my makeup as quick and hassle-free as possible and so I don't really want to bother with lipliner.

This wasn't a nude on me. It turned out quite bright, more of a medium coralish pink. Wasn't what I was looking for.

From what I remember, I didn't like this lipstick because it didn't stay on. I found that I had to keep reapplying. I am always drinking water so I found it came off quite quickly and it is totally gone if I have a meal.

On the upside, it is a lovely colour that goes on coral. It looks youthful and it very flattering so any skin colour. I often team this up with Coralista.

I don't find the lipstick very moisturising but it certainly isn't drying. It is creamy and quite sheer. I like my lip colours to have more oomph but bare in mind this is a natural/nude lip colour.

This is really nice. The silky finish lipsticks are some of my favorites. They're moisturizing and creamy with a nice, semi gloss finish. On a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being incredibly sheer and 10 being completely opaque, these are about a 7. Nice full coverage, with a hint of sheerness that keeps them from looking cakey or tacky. They are buildable too.

Colorwise, this is definitely a pink. It also has some nude to it, and just a touch of mauve. Very, very pretty.

I went to the Benefit counter to buy more Bad Gal, and walked out with this lipstick! I'm really in a nude phase these days, and this lipstick is really rounding out my fix for barely-there shades. It's from the Silky Finish line, so fairly sheer, and from the Lana shades, so it looks best on fairer, cooler toned gals. I happen to think though that it would look positively radiant on someone with dark skin though.

Anyway, I LOVE this color. It is a pink, like the girls are saying, but a nudey pink. One of those great colors that you can swipe on without a mirror and still feel polished. For me at least, it's a YLBB color, and adds a touch of glam if I have on no other makeup. I like that it's such a neutral color that adding just a touch of gloss changes the look entirely - peach really peaches it up, pink really pinks it up, etc. I love this line of lipsticks because they are moisturizing, and the packaging is adorable. The little "fashion fortunes" that come inside always give me a chuckle...and I appreciate the little luxury of it. I may have found my HG everyday lipstick here. Will definitely be repurchasing.
