I got a sample of a mattifying moisturizer that I absolutely loved. I couldn't wait to go and buy it. But I couldn't remember the name of the product I got the same of. I thought it was this one, so I bought it. But it definitely wasn't the one I had a sample of.

The packaging is nothing special. It's just a plain, ordinary, squeeze tube. Nothing fancy, but it works.

This stuff is super thick, it reminds me of Elmer's Glue almost. Also, I am finding that I have to use a lot to get the desired result.

I've been using this as a primer. It seems to do an okay job, but again,, nothing outstanding. It does mattify, but the mattifying effect doesn't last very long. Maybe a few hours at most. Then I go back to being a major greaseball.

I will probably use this up, but it is definitely NOT worth the $40 price tag. I will not be repurchasing.

hahaha oh god.. i have dry skin and i have no idea why i ever bought this product. i know it's for oily skin and i'm a total idiot for even using it, but i guess a long time ago i was convinced my skin was turning oily and wanted something to combat that. it did dry the everloving shit out of my face which i guess is a good thing for oilier people. if you're oily, try this!

I haven't been this excited for a product in a while. First off let me inform you, no other product, primer, foundation, or moisturizer, has been able to keep my face matte for longer than 2-3 hours. Ever. That is until now. This baby kept my face matte for 8 hours which is insane! It's slightly tacky and thick at first but warm fingers help spread it around. I do have to agree it smells a bit weird, almost like glue but it doesn't linger. I have light skin with yellow undertones and I did not notice a white cast afterwards. It helps to "push" it into your skin rather than try to spread it out further. I only used it on my T-zone because that's where I get oily throughout the day. Normally my face gets oily on my whole forehead, chin, and my nose (which is the worst), with this it only gets the slightest shine on my nose after 8 hours. If you don't want to spend the $40 right away I would recommend you get a sample from Sephora.

Perfect for oily skin! My skin feels moisturized, but not greasy. Absolute must in my makeup bag.

I ran out of my Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum. Looking for a readily available mattifier I grabbed this one. Murad products have never failed me before so I had high hopes for this one. The moment I dabbed some on my face, I immediately noticed the funky school glue smell of the product. Though it turned me off a bit, I went on and used it thinking most Murad products have that medicinal smell. It initially mattified my face with a kind of tightness about it not the supple pore-minimizing ability of the peach sake serum. After about thirty minutes or so, my face began to slightly itch. It did not keep me mattified for long. A couple of hours wearing it, my T-zone started to become oily again. I ditched the product after it gave me tiny breakouts on my forehead and chin. I definitely wont be getting this again.

This product didn't work for me. Skin was still oily after a few hours. It was no better than a normal moisturizer except the spf.

I really was hoping this product will work for me! It had so many good reviews. Unfortunately, it did not at all. It didn't mattify my skin when applied after my regular mattifing-moisturizing moisturizer (if that makes sense;)) It gave me some semi-matte for around 1h when applied on bare skin. Well- I did it once only on bare skin because it was irritated and felt soooo dry. Pros: It didn't clog my pores. You can blend foundation (liquid) over it (when dried). Neat tube- you don't dig into the product using your fingers.

I have very oily skin normally, but very, very rarely do I get acne. I noticed that this lotion works best as an area treatment - I can slather it all over my forehead in the morning and I won't get sludge there until about 2 pm, which is pretty good. I would never use it on my cheeks, though.
It smells like glue and is expensive, and it's not really moisturising in my opinion, but it certainly banishes the oil slick.

I have sensitive skin with an extremely oily T zone. I would only use this product during the summer. I wouldn't use it in colder months because my skin tends to get a little dry and this only makes it worse.

This is the only product that actually MATTIFIED my very oily skin. I have tried a lot of products that are ''mattifying'' but the effect lasted for 1-2 hr until I started to look greasy.
This mattifies my skin from about 7 h in the morning until 12 h or even longer. Then my skin starts to grease a bit but still not as much as before!
When I put this on my face at first I feel like it's hard to rub in but after a second I feel as if it released its moisturizing substances and my face starts to feel very nice and smooth and hydrated.
It does have a weird smell and looks a bit like glue but it's just at first, so once I applied it, it feels comfortable on my skin.
I haven't used it for a long time but so far it seems I have finally found my favourite mattifyer. The only bad side is its price, it's really expensive, so I use it in small amounts.
I would recommend this to everyone who has very oily skin.
