I had high hopes for this but unfortunately it broke me out. It did control oil and didn't feel greasy on my face but if you have sensitive acne prone skin like I do this is not your best option. I got a sample size from Sephora and broke out within a couple days of using it. I also wish it had a higher SPF. The search for an SPF moisturizer for my skin continues.

I will be honest here, I am really bad skin. Not only is my skin oily and acne prone, but also very sensitive. So using harsh drying products to try to clear my skin doesn't work. After much money spent and much frustration, my grandma purchased this moisturizer, along with the clarifying cleanser for me.

This is honestly a great product for anyone who has oily and/or sensitive skin. This fully moisturizes without feeling greasy or heavy. It doesn't look greasy or oily on my skin either. It actually helps to control the oil on my face.

This product doesn't really have a smell. It is a little on the heavy side for moisturizers, but it doesn't feel it once you put it on your skin. It is white, but goes on clear, and skins in immediately.

I understand that this is a little pricey at about $40 a bottle, but if you are willing to spend the money, I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Let me say right out that I love this product, but it was not what I was expecting. I bought this product from Sephora thinking it was going to be a light weight moisturizer that kept my skin from being too oily. I had not looked up any reviews, but the girl had applied some to my face and I liked the feeling. Fast forward two weeks (into winter) and I still LOVE the product, but I have come to the understanding that my skin needs another moisturizer to be paired with this moisturizer. Just the tiniest dab of moisturizer under this product and my face is AWESOME. If I do not use this product the moisturizer makes my face look like an oil slick. This product is great at controlling oil on your face, and in the summer I will probably be able to skip the other moisturizer during the day. Overall a great product to control oil but be aware it might not be moisturizing enough for your skin.

Excellent product and HG for me.

I have combo-oily skin that leans more toward oily. And this is my favorite, most effective mattifying product. It truly keeps the oiliness at bay.

I have tried many others but Murad's really is the best. It's a little expensive but it's so worth it!

Have repurchased many times and will continue to do so. LOVE!!

Right off the bat- ITS THICK. It goes on very thick but doesn't feel as thick once it goes into your skin. It is way too thick to use under foundation but it works sooooooo well with the cover fx custom cover drops. It controls oil better than anything else I've tried. Overall its the best at controlling oil and for someone like me who doesn't need a lot of coverage, it works very well with the cover drops.

Nothing else works like this!

I've had an oily T-Zone for as long as I can remember and, depending on my health and hormones (and mystery influences) it varies overnight from pretty icky to "you could fry chips on my nose". So - given 8 hours in bed and I can see beads of grease - its no wonder any makeup I try looks like a slick by midday.

This is one of the very few things I can use that makes it better rather than worse.
I've tried all sorts and, to be honest, the only thing that comes close is the Clinique DDGel - which really isn't so good but has the advantage I can slap it over my eyes too.
For a really lazy person like me the DDGel wins when the idea of anything more than one cream/moisturisers for my whole face seems just too much, every other occasion the Murad wins.

I love this moisturizer. It is expensive, it is very thick, it works. My skin loves it and it doesn't feel heavy like you might expect. I get super oily on my tzone when I don't use this so it is definitely becoming a grail product.

I used to think this didn't work but one day, I let it sit on my face for 15 minutes before I put on my foundation and it really works!!! I use this in combination with the Wayne Goss method and stay oil free for 12+ hrs, even my nose is oil free by the end of the day.

I finally got my hands on this expensive ($40 CAD) oil control moisturizer and its met my expectations. This oil-control mattifier really helped reduce my shine after a long day and helped extend the wear of my foundations. I have super oily skin so this type of product is exactly what I need.

It's a thick lotion that smells and looks like Elmers glue (thankfully no lingering scent even though its a fragrance free formula). It takes a little bit of work to spread the thick lotion on my face but it leaves a beautiful primer like matte finish. Foundation goes on easily and my face looks matte. Wish it had a higher SPF and wasn't so expensive.

I would repurchase but will continue to look for an affordable dupe.

It does exactly what it says. It is an oil control lotion that has a spf 15. It actually works really well. Kept me oil free for 8+ hours which I usually end up looking like an oil slick. worked extremely well and didn't cause me to break out at all, which tends to happen a lot with spf's. The only thing I have a slight problem with is the application. It is really thick. Doesn't have a lot of slip. I am used to spf's having some slip or glide to them. Having somewhat of an oily feel. This didn't have any of that. When you rubbed it in, you were literally rubbing it in as it grabbed to your skin and took some effort to rub in evenly due to the thick and slightly dry texture. I guess that is the trade off to be a oil control with long term mattification. All in all it really worked. I was rather impressed as I didn't think it would control oil as well. That being said, I usually layer spf under benzoyl peroxide which tends to reduce slip of products applied on top of it. I do not see how I could use benzoyl peroxide under this. The application would be horrible, so this would be for a day when I would just use a salicylic acid and not a benzoyl peroxide. That would be one of my gripes. Aside from that, very nice product that really performs.
