I tried this product in black. It glides on well BUT it ran under my eyes within an hour or two and made me look like I had undereye circles. I could not remove it easily without a makeup remover. I did not like the product and would not recommend.

I have this eyeliner in blackened sapphire, which is a dark blue. The color is so gorgeous!! The liner is really great. It is the kind you sharpen and comes with a smudger on the opposite end. The smudger is really useful to get a smokey eye look with the eye liner. I love this stuff. It glides on easily and stays, plus it's pretty cheap. YAY.

I usually like Maybelline products but this was a disappointment for me. I bought this in Ebony Black and although the colour was awesome, halfway through the day I realized that I was sporting black smudges under both eyes. The pencil comes with a smudge stick on the opposite end but I didn't like the feel of the rough sponge on my sensitive lids, nor did I understand why it was there in the first place, considering this liner seemed to smudge itself. What can I say, I just didn't like it at all!

I bought these on a whim because I had lost all of my eyeliners on a trip. I bought them in brownish black and ebony black. I was pleasantly surprised :) the black eyeliner itself is really easy to work with and is that perfect creaminess so it dries down and doesn't move. I usually used the black as an upper water liner (tightliner) and it stayed decently well. The brown I used on the lower lash line, and I had no problems with it. It was a little stiffer than the black, but it works fine for the price. The only problem I have was that it only took about 2-3 months to use up the black, which I consider fast on my standards, even though I used it everyday. However, it is so cheap that to me, it doesn't matter too much :) I will most likely repurchase the black liner when I use up my other ones.

I've never really found an eyeliner I've loved yet this is the closest yet. Either the colour isn't right, it doesn't stay on, it smudges or is just plain hard to apply.
As I've become older I find the colours I used wear are too dark for me.
I purchased the brownish/black in this brand which gives me a softer more natural look.
It has eyeliner one end & a sponge applicator the other which helps with blending making the look even more natural.
The cost is reasonable & until I find something better, I will continue to purchase this one.
Edit - After purchasing the Urban Decay Grind House sharpener, this eyeliner is even better. After applying my liner to the lower lashes & blending it with the sponge applicator, I then use the applicator to add a little colour to my eyebrows. I'm happy with this product & want to try other colours.

wore this when i went out and went to look at my face to touch up and it was all smudged under my eye and by the end of the night it was literally all gone, it was like i had removed my makeup. Also cant sharpen it because it keeps breaking.

Not my favorite ever eyeliner, but it fares quite well in my standards. It glides on smoothly, and I can sense that it has just a hint of waxiness, but not enough to actually cloud the product's ability to go on well. The color is not as black as I had hoped, which is a minor drawback. It does have good staying power, when used with primer of course. What kinda bugs me about it is that it needs a lot of sharpening, after 5-6 uses. It is one of those liners that comes with a blender tip, and this liner is okay for blending, but having a good primer underneath makes it hard to blend. The price was good, I got it for $8, and I'm happy with it.

I like this eyeliner because it goes on so smooth and creamy i have it in ebony. What i dont like about it is that it does not last long, that can be a good thing on days that i dont want such a harsh line I only use it on my upper lash line. The smudge tip is great I use it to correct any mistakes i make especially if I wing it out. I would repurchase this for everyday use but on nights out i will stick to my Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner

I love love love this eyeliner! I don't like to line my eyes with sharp, thick lines. I prefer a smokey look so this is perfect. It lasts all day for me when I'm at work (If I ever re-apply for the sake of it it's only minimal). The smudger works so well for me, not too much and not too little. I am always getting compliments on how smokey and great my eyes look and I can truly thank this eyeliner. The price here in NZ is a little expensive ($20!) so I buy it whenever I go to Australia where it's only about $7. This goes on perfectly for me every time I use it. I don't even have to spend more than a minute applying this and blending. It's great.

Eh, this eyeliner is pretty okay.. It smudges veryy veryy easily so it doesn't last for long. It's more expensive than my favorite eyeliner also. The colors are true to how they look in the package, which has been a big problem for me in the past. And if you want smokey eyes, this is probably the best eyeliner you can get for it. But, if you want a daily eyeliner, this isn't it.

I don't know why people are complaining about it smudging. People! This is for a smokey eye look. It smudges like that on purpose...or get some eye primer. Anyways, I've just bought this today and have it on now to see if it's the same as my other eyeliner. But because I don't have a primer, it is starting to slip and slide a little but can be easily wiped off with my finger. When applying it, I was surprised at it's soft texture. Like a soft clay. This made the application easy and smooth. I might even replace my liquid liner for this. But the thing that concerns me is that because this is so soft, what if I sharpen it one day and it keeps breaking off? T_T Plus, because it is so soft, it might not last as long...the pencil is only 15cm or so ><
I bought this along with the Maybelline XXL pro 24hr mascara (it came together) for $10NZD. To me that is dead cheap and works better than I had expected. I really don't recommend this product to people who wants to wear it on a day where you are expected to cry because this is not waterproof..sadly...

So I purchased this eyeliner during fashion week in NYC. It was on sale on target and it was listed as one of allures best eyeliners so I decided to try it . After trying it I loved the way it looks on me I wear it everyday and I had no complaints until it started to wear down and I had to sharpen it . The product is so soft that it'll break easily so I had to make sure that I took my time sharpening it . Other than sharpening issues I love this eyeliner it goes on smoothly an it last long for me ! I would purchase it again I just wish it was a retractable eyeliner instead of a pencil!!

Pros: Glides on with ease.
Cons: Smudging tip was rough, I did not use it at all. Needs resharpening often. Did not last long.
Overall, I would not buy this product again. I would apply it above my top lashes and it would smudge onto the lower lash line.

I was shocked to see that this had won an Allure beauty award, this stuff sucks. It's so soft, I have to constantly resharpen. The worst part though, is the SMUDGING. I look like I haven't slept in days when I wear this. It doesn't last very long on the waterline and the smudger doesn't do anything. I will definitely not repurchase

I started using this tonight for a smokey eye. I don't think I'll ever go without this beauty. Many people say it smudges a lot. That's what it does!!! I have this in brownish/black which isn't too black for fair features. it's a lovely dark dark brown. It smudges with ease. I smudge with the end it comes with, and it's BEAUTIFUL! I use it as a base with Urban Decay's Naked Palette and it's just gorgeous. Perfect dark brown smokey eye. It doesn't last long on the water line, but that wasn't the reason I bought it. I wanted something that was easy to smudge and this is it. Perfect for every skin tone.

I buy this eyeliner simply because it is the only pencil I have found so far that shows up dark black easily upon application.
The one downside of this eyeliner is that the pencil has some sort of oily base so that it cannot be sharpened to a fine point, and thus goes on in a thicker line than I would ideally like. It is relatively easy to wipe the thick line into a thin one however, it's just an extra step.

this is just your average eyeliner. nothing horrible, nothing awesome. it applies smoothly and can be smudged with the opposite tip of the pencil. it's a waste of time to try and apply it to you water line, and it doesn't last as long as a more expensive eyeliner would, but it's pretty much what you'd expect from a non-water proof, drug store pencil.

I currently use this as my main eyeliner. and its very good for being a drugstore eyeliner. its not very water resistant. I wear it to school and you know all my friends are so fun they make me cry :) and it smears a little. I have to rub underneith when it happens but i still get it off. And after school for volleyball it kind of runs so i have to swipe it off during practice. (but i sweat a lot during practice so i think its resonable to think it would rub off.) overall i really like the product and I would recomend it for being drug store. I do think there is better eyeliners out there but for being maybelline and drugstore... its a good solid product!

I have this eyeliner in Dark Brown and it gives a nice natural look. It does tend to smudge and leaves dark around my eyes after I try to wash it off which is why I gave it a 4, but other than that it is great. I love the packaging and the smudger, price was reasonable and I can also use this color to define my eyebrows and it stays on better than most eyebrow pencils I have tried. I have re-purchased this several times and will keep buying it, but this eyeliner isn't for everyone. If you are after a bold look with good staying power it's best to give this one a miss, but for me this works well.
