So glad to know this worked for so many, but it didn't suit me at all. Every time I open the bottle, the smell 'bout knocks me over in the worst possible way. The smell aside - because I'll survive a stink if everything else works - the product left my hair gummy and without shine or much hold. Right now, I'm doing way better with Lottabody (Lotta Body?) for an absolute fraction of the price.

I really thought that this product would work and I used it when I was younger. Maybe I just didn't notice this but while it did make my curls into perfect ringlets whether I blew it dry or let it air dry it left my curls crunchy and the top, although frizz free, hard. The bottle was easy to use and the product smelled really good. But that isn't enough for me to rationalize spending that amount of money on this product.

While I do love this No Frizz Wave Shaping Curl Defining for Medium to Thick Hair, they no longer make this particular formula. Now they only have Nourishing Styling Cream which does absolutely nothing for my very curly hair. I called them to inquire about the change and apparently they removed the holding properties to accommodate a larger group. Well, when I used this new formula, my hair looked like a used Q tip. Needless to say I returned it and won't be buying any of their other products again unless they bring the styling formula back. Beware when you make a purchase, note that it is not the same product.

Wow! This is one of the most amazing hair products I've ever used! My hair is very thick and frizzy and normally if I let it be curly it just poofs out but with this it stays defined and super silky and best of all- no frizz! The name says it all. The bottle tells you to use much more than I ended up needing. I used a quarter sized amount on my long and super thick hair and it performed miracles. This is definitely one of my favorite curl products of all time. I have tried this alone and with other products and it works equally well either way. Also, it smells like a very light version of chanel coco mademoiselle, which is one of my favorite perfumes, so thats a huge plus!!

I am so skeptical of anything that says it will make my curly, super-frizzy hair shiny and frizz-free. I thought because this is designed by scientists (and is insanely expensive,) it would actually work. Nevertheless, I bought the 2 oz. size to test it out. And of course, it didn't magically make my frizz go away. I even used it with the shampoo/conditioner surprise sample they sent with it. The lid also broke off, and it made my hair a bit oily, even though they say "Be generous—the more you use, the better the results."

I really like this. I use it as a leave in conditioner under my styling products. My curls actually look like curls instead of monsters and I can run my fingers through my hair without getting my hand stuck. It smells super fresh, too. It's sort of pricey, but I always keep coming back to it.
Maybe it's just me, but I've cut my fingers a number of times on the cap when its seperated from the bottle. For the price, I wasn't expecting the cap to come off so easily on every bottle I've had.

This is AMAZING. I have Keratin Complex in my hair, so I look for products that can keep my natural waves without making them limp or frizzy. I use this right after the shower and OMG, my hair dries in the chicest waves ever. Sometimes, it looks a bit too curly, so I run a flat iron through my hair. I really, really love it. I tried it the other night mixed with another product and it didn't hold up well, so I'd suggest using it alone, on wet hair and letting it air dry.

Okay this has changed my life...seriously people!! I have wavey somewhat curly fine hair that instantly fuzz's up if humidity even looks at it! It never stays pin straight when I straighten it, even with the best flat irons out there and it never has nice smooth curls that are crisp free and soft. So needless to say I was hesitant....NOTHING works! But I am completely stunned at how this has changed my hair entirely. Used on my damp hair I work it through as per directions then air dry and voila, super soft, smooth waves and curls that are frizz free and moisturized without any crispy feeling whatsoever! I love, love, LOVE it when I flat iron...my hair is poker straight and soft with not a single fly away and it feels like I have nothing in my hair at all! Where it really shines is in humidity, it holds like a hot dam!
I cannot say enough great things about this product! I have since purchased 2 more items and can't wait for them to arrive!!!!

My little girl has curly hair which has been a mess lately .....I have tried numerous product lines from drug store to high end, and finally settled on Ouidad ....... I also wanted to start her on a styling product to help her curls and took a leap of faith and settled on Living Proof No Frizz Wave Shaping Curl Cream and was very pleased on how her hair turned out ....... I was so impressed that I washed my hair with Ouidad and added some Living Proof and shine serum on my wet hair and just allowed my hair to air dry and was quite surprised that my hair which is more on the wavy side looked really good ...... I normally use a few different styling products to get my hair to look how I want it, and was surprised that that the No Frizz Wave Shaping Curl Definition Cream worked alone ..... I am scratching my head though, as in the reviews I keep reading how this product smells so gross, but yet, mine smells pretty mild in the bottle and completely disappeared once I put some on my wet hair, nor do I smell anything now once my hair dries ....... I also did not have issue with dryness nor crunchy hair ....... my little girl's hair is curly and mine is wavy and this product worked great for both our different hair types, especially my daughter, in that her hair was frizz-free, and her curls were more looser and defined (she normally hates her curls, but since using Ouidad and Living Proof, she is happy with her hair.)

I've been using this product for a few months now and I really like it. It doesn't weigh down my hair at all, it helps smooth my frizz and does a great job of defining my curls. Not too many curl defining products gives you good "2nd day hair" but this product is great for that. It is very expensive for the amount you get, but they have a larger size that is twice as much product for $10 dollars more, which is what I'll be purchasing next since I'm all out. I've noticed that with my curly/wavy hair, I can't use the same product everyday or else my hair gets used to it and it doesn't work. So I have 3 products that I use in rotation (Living Proof, MOP C-Curl, and Bumble & Bumble).

This is the best anti-frizz product I have ever used but I can only see it working in a very limited number of situations. I actually have straight, thick, hair with coarse strands. I doubt this would work if you have thin strands or very curly or short hair. The wave making line gives some hold as well without any tackiness and works better than the straight making line. My hair feels smooth and I can go much longer between washes. I can go 3 days and everyday feels like I have just washed it. It’s true that it repels dirt, grim and oil. My hair has never looked so good or so smooth. It’s to the extent where hair bands and elastics slide off when this has never happened before. When I blow dry or curl it, it works great at holding the style and ensuring it is frizz free. It gives a polished look without the need for styling products or hair spray, this is an all in one product. I use a pea sized on top then a pea sized working up from bottom. I keep the bottle upside down and the packaging is great. The price is not so good but I have just ordered the 8oz bottle so it’s much better value. I have gotten rid of most of my products since this does everything. This is much better than anything Fekkai / redken / Paul Mitchell has. Highly recommended, I will be using this for a very long time.

At first I tried this product in conjunction with the matching shampoo & conditioner, because the Sephora lady said the cream had a negative effect when mixed with silicones. That might account for the bad smell as referenced by other reviewers. The shampoo & conditioner left my hair dry & frizzy, although the cream seemed to work OK. I checked out the Living Proof website and contacted them by e-mail to ask advice on the silicone situation, and was told by the CEO that it was OK as long as you didn't mix them in your hand before applying, so I switched back to my Organix Coconut shampoo & cond and have loved the Straight Making cream ever since. I do coat my hair as directed and am therefore a bit concerned about the price, but since I am still on my first bottle I'll see how long it lasts before a final judgement on affordability. Thus far, it performs as promised. My hair is not frizzy after I style it, and it doesn't seem to feel the effects of humidity as with other products. Although, since I am in Atlanta and travel frequently to New Orleans in the summer, the true test will be a humid GA/LA summer, and I will update this review at that point. Until then, I've said "yes" to repurchase and I would have given 5 lippies except when it comes to hair and humidity, nothing's perfect. Also, a note about the packaging, the flat top is very handy when you reach the end of the bottle to upturn it to get every drop out. UPDATE: It made it through a high-humidity concert with my daughter with no frizz, so that's a good sign!

I love this product! I have long thick dark brown curly hair and it does wonders! I put it in my hair when it's wet and let it air dry. It makes my hair look glossy and keeps frizz at bay. I wish it wasn't so much money, which is the only down side I can see to this product. My hair didn't get crunchy, and I don't mind the smell as it goes away quickly. You do have to be sure to but it all over all of your hair as one piece I missed and I really tell. I will buy this product again, but feel bad for spending so much money on such a small bottle.

I promise - I TRIED to like this stuff. I was so hopeful and optimistic after reading a number of glowing reviews (here and elsewhere), and I even finished the entire bottle, so I think I gave it enough of a chance to prove itself worthy. Alas, I pretty much hated it. As others have stated, it gave my wavy, mid-back-length hair a crunchy and dried-out feeling, and didn't do squat to control my frizzies. It also imparted a dull look to my hair, which is ordinarily at least somewhat lustrous. I even tried using various amounts of the product (having read that you need to use a LOT - so I tried that, also tried smaller amounts), but each time I used this stuff, I couldn't wait until I was able to wash it OUT of my hair. I didn't find the smell objectionable - it has kind of a peppery quality to it, but nothing too overwhelming. I just wish it had delivered on its promise. I feel like it was a complete waste of my money, as it gave me a major BAD HAIR DAY with each use.

I received this as a sample with my latest Sephora purchases.
I sprayed in on wet hair and brushed it thru and scrunced it so
it would dry in ringlets.
Well it was ok in that department.....
BUT - The SMELL!!!!!!!!!
I had to throw out what was left and it is still skinking up my hair till I wash it again tonight!
Very Strong, Sweet, Artificial smell and I just can't get past that.

I saw a friend who was using it, and I hadn't seen her hair look as good in the twenty years I've known her. This SERIOUSLY fights humidity but does nothing for dry/fried hair, I think that must be why there are so many negative reviews. It does leave hair feeling dry, but it doesn't actually dry out hair. It is formulated to coat the hair shaft, not penetrate it, and it washes out. If my hair were frizzy only due to humidity or I had a miraculous conditioning product to pair this with I would buy again.

I use this product in my curly hair before flat ironing and it cuts the time it takes to straighten my hair in half. Not to mention It smells great- like orange tictacs.
What's best about this product is that it doesn't leave my hair oily like other frizz smoothing producs have done.

Wow, those scientists are something - they discovered how to make my medium-thick curly hair frizzy. In fact, they discovered how to make it frizzier than if I have nothing in my hair. Gets one lippie for adding shine to the frizz. I'm returning this tomorrow.

Terrible. I'm a guy with short, wavy, dry, coarse hair. Waste your money on this product if you want crunchy, dry, terrible smelling hair. Strong scent smells like a mixture of bad cologne and cheap perfume. Was willing to pay for a nice, glossy, frizz-free look with touchable hold. Negative.

I LOVE this. I've only used it 3x, but I've gotten multiple compliments on my hair each time. I use Organix coconut anti-break serum first & then use this, making sure I completely saturate my hair from roots to tips. Then I airdry for a bit & then finish off with my diffuser attachment on my blowdryer. It has a funny smell while wet, kind of peppery-bug spray-ish, but that disappears. The only problem I have with it is the cost. With long hair, it says to use 3 quarter-sized dollops to fully saturate the hair. At $24 for a 4 oz bottle, it will have to be used for special occassions only.
