If you like nude nails, this really is the colour of beach sand. I dispute the reviews that accuse it of being frosty - it is more of a shimmer, without being at all glittery, and a shiny finish means no top coat needed. It looks very professional for work, and is a favorite shade of mine for the toes - it makes my feet look clean and healthy. As with all OPI polishes the staying power is great - up to 5 days without chipping. Recommended.

Elegant and simple are good words to describe this. It's a nice neutral color. It has just a bit of shimmer NOT FROST. I think it is really pretty. I usually do darker colors but an opposite was fun to do just for a change.

A blinding frost but good for warm skintones I suppose.

A shimmery, sandy nude color that looks BEAUTIFUL against tanned skin. However... when my skin is lighter, the color just isn't the same- it looks kind of blah. I guess I'll be using it more during the summer time. Consistency is good, and application is easy with the thick brush. Two coats is enough for an opaque coverage.

On my tanned skin, this colour is simply gorgeous! It is nude with slight shimmer, definitely NO frost and no massive amounts of shimmer. I get many compliments when I wear this shade. However, I'm not so sure it would work on pale skin tones. Application and staying power are remarkable.

I love this but I dont think it will be everyones cup of tea (my mother does not like it)
2 coats for opaque - but better with 3. Application is easy.
It really does look like sand - a pearly fosty sand. I always feel "well groomed" when I wear this polish. Would buy again for sure and I love the name.

I bought this color looking for a nudey beige. On my toes, it looks nice, but it's too frosty for my nails. It does go on thickly, so usually one coat does the trick, but I don't plan on buying this shade again.

Its a light nude with a lot of shimmer. The formula itself is the same as the usual OPIs. Only con is that there is too much shimmer which sometimes causes it to look sheer.
I prefer to put a light pink ontop, like "hearts&tarts" by OPI.

This is a gorgeous shimmery nude on my NC25 skin. It gives the 'mannequin' hands look and is great for work. I love wearing this as it makes my hands look polished and sophisticated. It is long lasting and applies well like most OPI polishes. A definite repurchase.

I absolutley loved this color! If you are looking for an everday color that will match everything go for this color! the only thing that would make this a better product is if it had a little more pop of color to it! With OPI nail polishes you have to make sure you wait a long time for them to dry.

I LOVE this color. I bought this for summer to be something to alternate between my usual neons and brights that I typically use in the summer. This looks awesome with tanned skin. I do however think this polish it a bit stickier than normal OPIs but overll I really like it. I would suggest buying it if you are darker skin toned because I believe that this could wash someone out who is fair.

I really wanted to like Sand In My Suit. I ordered this one online so my judgements were based on swatches and it looked gorgeous. I was looking for a nice nude to wear in summer when I didn't feel like wearing bright nails. Unfortunately this does not work for me, but I think it would work for someone with a darker skintone than my pale skin. The colour is beige with shimmer. On me, my hands just looked blah, and almost dead. The polish almost looked too thick on my hands, I did try the colour a few times and give it a chance but it just doesn't work for me. Perhaps I'll try one more time, just for good measure :) So my hunt continues for a nice, summery nude colour, and this is just not it for me - I would not re-purchase.

I get SOOO many compliments when I wear this color! I caught this (and Daddy's the King) on sale for $4.99 and alternate between the two...but this one, I've even had strangers compliment me when I wear this and oddly enough, it looks GREAT w/ my "summer skin tone" (my tan)...lol...I'm Afr. Amer. and didn't think it would become me, but I must say, this is very soft and VERY VERY dainty & pretty !...

NC 43. I love this color -- shades of South Beach, tanned skin, C-Thru lipglass, and sundresses. Unfortunately, I didn't love the formula, which was thick, gloopy, and chipped on me within a day or so (I can usually get a solid 4-5 days out of my OPI polishes). RBL's Ani is indeed close to a dupe, but it leans more pink/beige than beige/tan (like SIMS), the shimmer is more subtle and refined looking, and the finish is glossier. I much prefer Ani, but I will keep SIMS for use in pedicures, where the application/wear issues are less problematic.

I LOVE THIS NAILPOLISH! i am generally one to go for dark, dark shades. midnight in moscow and lincoln park after dark are some of my favorites. but one day, i just felt like switching it up, so i tried sand in my suit. i love this color! i couldn't stop staring at my nails. it is such a nice change from the usual dark colors that i wear. it looks very clean and put together. it is a nice beige with just the right amount of shimmer and it goes on great! my only complaint is that like all opi's, 8.50 is alot for a bottle of nailpolish.

I hate to give a bad review of an OPI polish because generally they are terrific.
This is an exception. It is a DUD! It goes on streaky, the colour which looks great in the bottle flattens out to a whitish greyish beigey pearl.
The colour alone was a disappointment. I wanted a shimmery nude. I'm warm toned so the bottle looked hopeful. It has that pinkish goldish beige look.
On my fingers it looked deathly pale and not in a nice sheer pale milky nude way but in an odd shiny metallic pearl in a colour that just looks a bit dirty.
And I didn't just have one bad time with this, I've applied it 3 times with the same streaky result.
But colour can be layered right? Well not so much with this one. It is too opaque for that, but just enough sheer to streak.
Other than that, the wear and application texture are ok.
Not one I will get again.
For anyone looking for a similar polish, but one that works, I found one in Fiji-WeeGee Fawn. It looks like a cold grey beige in the bottle and goes on a soft warm pinky champagne neutral beigy pearl and looks absolutely stunning. That I've worn more times, and the wear time is typical OPI --really good, but it won't streak and makes my golden toned skin look healthy.

Great frosty beige-nude with golden hues and ever so slight shimmer. Awesome nude colour that looks great in the office, weddings, summer, etc. Use two coats to get a nice even appearance. I use with base and top coat for longevity. I could wear this everyday.
I totally recommend. A definate repurchase should I ever run out of this product, which is unlikely since the bottle is so big.

Pearly gold-toned beige polish, work-safe, pretty, & shimmery in sunlight, from the 09 South Beach collection. Looks JUST LIKE Rescue Beauty Lounge's Ani in tone, color, and shimmer, at least under interior lights, but Ani seems, um, classier, for some reason. Not sure exactly why, maybe Ani looks smoother, slightly pearlier? As other reviewers have noted, the formula/application isn't up to OPI's usual high standards. I might have written off my gloppy, streaky experience when applying this on the partially-used bottle I was using, if I hadn't read that application has been a common complaint.
Ani costs considerably more, but if price isn't your priority, and you love this color, and you don't object to RBL's smaller (but good quality) brush, buy Ani, instead of Sand in My Suit.

Simply luv opi wide brush which makes every application seems to be so effortless. And not forgetting, their formula dry really fast so by the time I'm done with the 1st coat for my 10th finger, my 1st is ready for the 2nd coat. Just 2 coats and its done.
The color was not as glamour as I thought when they are on me. They are more like a low profile champage gold with those smooth silky finish. It's really nice for everyday wear and shimmers are super fine which blend in really well
