I've just bought this today because a friend recommended this product to me. It says on the product that it helps to remove dead skin cells and subsequently help in removing blackheads that are supported by the dead skin cells. I've tried the product at night while before I cleansed my face (after removing my make up of course). At first, I admit I was a little skeptical about it, but it was unexpectedly good. After using this product and then cleansing my face (my face got a little red but subsided after 5-10 minutes more or less), my skin feels a lot more softer and smoother, not to mention brighter! I checked the blackheads I had on my face and they appear smaller already. Overall, I'm really satisfied with this product because it really works and it is gentle to the skin unlike most "scrubs". Hope the results will continue so I can stick to the product cause I really love it!

At first I was hesitant to use this gel daily (it does say safe to use daily) so I used it once a week, but loved the results and oddly the weird "texture" of the exfoliated skin (it meant it was working!) so I started to use it every other day and am so happy with the results.
I have dry but sensitive skin and have not had any issues or poor reactions to the "scrub" - my skin is slightly reddened after using, but soft and velvety and in 15 minutes the redness subsides.
If I use an anti-ageing serum immediately after I find the serum works faster and more effectively.
Highly recommend.

I get this stuff cheap from Singapore, so for me is is great value for money. This is a fantastic gentle exfoliator and for me works better than any other I have ever used. The closest thing I have used to this is Sothys Gommage, yet that does not compare in terms of results. It is gentle yet extremely effective. Apply, rug gently in circular motions and watch the balls of dead skin rub off. I am always amazed at how much of my stratum corneum it can pick up without making my skin feel stripped. I love it.

I love this. I have only used it for a week and it's like I have a whole new face. My skin is clear, marks are fading and my makeup looks flawless. I use this at night and put plenty of moisturiser on after as it can make you skin feel a bit dry. In the morning I wash my face as normal and my skin glows all day. It's so smooth and soft. I also use this to exfoliate my hands before applying havd cream. It is brilliant at exfoliating my constantly dry flaky lips, they are now smooth and I can wear lip stains, I've never been able to before cause of the dry skin. Highly reccommend this product. A little goes a long way so the tube should last ages.

I had watched many reviews on this product and really wanted to give it a go. First off its extremely expensive for the amount you get, I thought it was a tester size.
I used it and awaited the 'little balls of skin' or whatever they are supposed to be to appear. Unfortunately, its just product, and you need to rub a wee bit hard to get them. Knowing me I'm probably using the product wrong, or my oily skin type just absorbs it, but I won't be repurchasing. My dear boyfriend had it trialled on him to see if it worked ay better and it left his face quite red. My skin looks no different after using it and I'm going to fob it off to a friend and see if it works any better for them.

It smells and feels cool and refreshing, but it doesn't do anything for my acne. After use my skin feels a bit dried out, and I can see flaky patches (which the product is supposed to remove?). Though after seeing all these positive reviews I might give it another go ...

Strong scent, not really green tea scent.
Makes skin feel smoother.
Use it once a week.
Helps when there are breakouts.

I've used the original Marvel Gel before and I really liked it, I'm trying the Green Tea version for about 2 weeks now.
I don't really have noticeable blackheads to begin with, so I can't comment on how well that works, but I like this as it makes my face alot smoother and softer to the touch. To be honest, I haven't sensed any difference between this and the original version yet but since there wasn't much difference price wise I thought i'd give it a shot.
I think its a little expensive for just 60ml but I prefer this to traditional grainy srubs. Gentler to the skin and doesn't scratch since its a gel. Especially good for days when there's an occasional pimple.
I have pretty sensitive skin, and certain brands of face wash are too strong for me but this makes my face feel clean, without making it feel tight.

This has been a staple of mine for many years. Unlike other similar products on the market, the little "balls" of dead skin that come off your face are really dead skin - not scrub particles (The Face Shop's White Jewel scrub...I'm looking at you).
This is a gel that you apply on a dry face, and as you rub gently it emulsifies into a liquid. Dead skin then starts to ball up, and you rinse everything off. If you repeat the process (not recommended), you'll get a lot less dead skin - if any. Ergo, it's not a gimmick.
I believe this is an AHA exfoliator of some kind, so those who are sensitive to AHAs might want to give this a miss. But if you aren't, I highly recommend it as a gentle exfoliator - with no scrubby bits, it's suitable for those who can't use manual exfoliators.

Its not a bad product, i use this to make my skin look fresh and clean! I helps to whiten and brighten my skin after a few wash, which is good. But one thing is it didn't really help me get rid of my blackheads. So i'll say its a good product if its a skin product and not a pores product.

Ginvera Marvel Gel has been around for years in my part of Asia but I was never attracted to it before. I have hopefully recovered from a long bout of pimples and wanted something to remove the scars as quickly as possible.
I bought the whitening version (not green tea) and it cost about RM30 (US$8 thereabouts). The instruction says to apply it on your face and exfoliate your skin and then to wash it off with a cleanser.
I don't know what happens to the gel but you can see little balls of skin coming off your face. I understand this is the dead skin. The first time I used this product the little balls were dark in colour which meant I had alot of dead skin. I use this on alternate days and now it comes of white like normal dead skin does.
I haven't seen the scars fade totally but I do feel my skin is alot brighter and clearer. The only thing that makes me doubtful about this product is the ingredients in it - there is no list of ingredients. If not for that I would repurchase if my scars haven't faded.

Amazing Gel no grains to make your face sore like other brands its a green gel like slime you put it on your dry face and rub it small and dead skin goes into small balls on your face.
I used to 2 days running i just got a sample and wow !! its the first time in ages my nose can tke foudation right onit. I have tryed other brands rated highly on here Queen heline ? the coco butter one but it just dosent take dead skin off.
I think this product is amazing for getting dead skin off and just aboutto lash out on the fullsize one.

Surprisingly I really like this product, i can really tell the difference in my face after I use it. My face is definitely softer and more fresh looking. I don't know about blackhead prevention, but if you're looking for a gentle exfoliator to freshen up your complexion then this is a great one. I always use it before applying makeup so that goes on better.

Biggest waste of time and money. An expensive product in the uk that promises black head removal and exfoliation, doesn't really deliver on either. Makes your dead skin ball up on your face when you rub it in but even after a few uses it didn't help reduce black heads. Smells strong and leaves skin a little tight. Think this will work fine for you if you have really good skin already but if you have trouble with clogged pores this won't help. Lush dark angels is way more effective, cheaper and easier to get hold of too!

So I got this in the mail yesterday, and tried it immediately. It is supposed to be an exfoliating treatment to use everyday with other products from the line.
I am an exfoliating afficionado - I simply cannot live without giving my face a good exfoliation at least every other day, mostly every day (and for my body, it's like every 3 days) both for the feeling of fresh skin, and getting rid of stubborn blackheads.
I'm using Daily Microfoliant in the morning and Skin Renewal Booster both from Dermalogica in the night, along with Help Me from Philosophy - besides that, I'm exfoliating gently with either a scrubbing glove (gently!!!), The Microdelivery Peel (Philosophy) or my Skin Prep Scrub (Dermalogica). So I can't live without the feeling of fresh, newly exfoliated skin.
To get to the Marvel Gel, I tried it at night instead of my normal exfoliants, rubbed it on my face and - EEEEK - some of my skin came off in little "balls" (gross, I know). This might sound scary, and I thought I tried something terrible, but when washing it off my face, my skin was soft and felt really clean - my pores was visibly clearer, and this is a huge problem for me, blackheads was not as visible as before the wash, HUGE plus! :D
This product I read somewhere, have been on the market for years, and I recently discovered it, because of somebody on LiveJournal said it was great for keeping her blackheads away, so I thought I'd give it a try. And for less than $15 it's really worth a try! :D
I'm going to use this every night, and will follow up with updates, if anything happens :)
