This is the 2nd MBD mask I used (first was Japanese Cherry Blossom) as I've enlarged pores. The first time I used this apple polyphenol mask, I left it and actually fell asleep so I think it was on for slightly more than 60 minutes. Dried up but no issues there. I love the apple smell :)

I suffer from oily skin and this really helped in controlling excessive oil production. There's no oil slick that forms on my face by afternoon, on the day after application. However, this effect is temporary and lasts for the next day only.

Unfortunately it does not shrink my pores. (I've used it about 6 times.) I think nothing has shrunk my pores so far, apart from L'Oreal Derma Genesis pore minimising serum, which has been discontinued.

Another thing I noticed is that it might have some firming properties. Will update when I'm more certain about this!

I can see why this product gets so much love. It's fits great, smells like apple juice, and feels very comfortable on. No drips down the neck but no excess serum in the packet. Price is extremely cheap but the most important thing is, we're there any results? Does it live up to the YT guru raves?? My opinion, yes! I just bought a magnifying mirror today do I doubled check to be sure. My pores on my nose and inner cheeks appear to be more refined and less noticeable (I dont have prob with pores to begin with) Skin is left semi hydrated but all that is not important as it actually does what it claims to do, tighten pores and tone. Very happy with it and needless to say will repurchase in a heartbeat!

The apple mask really is great! It's the only My Beauty Diary product I've tried, but it made me want to try all of them. It's affordable, has a light pleasant scent, and you will see instant results. After cleansing my face/showering, I put it on and lie down for a nap. I leave it on for an hour until it's almost dry. I put the excess serum in the package on my arms, chest, etc. When I take it off my complexion looks very even, my skin is plumped and moisturized, and the results last for days. Though it feels sticky when it's wet, for best results I recommend not rinsing it off. It absorbs quickly and it will not feel sticky when dry. I don't have problems with my pores but they seem even less apparent after I use this mask.

The apple scent is very refreshening when you torn open the mask pack. Mask full of essense and fitted my face nicely. I usually leave it on my face for 45 min to an hour till almost dried.
Pore seems to be smaller, love it.

I loved using the mask. I like the apple smell, it was not overpowering by any means. I had it on my face for about 30 minutes and it left a slightly stickiness to my face which eventually soaked into my skin. It did not dry my skin at all, and my face looked and felt rather refreshed. I will definitely be using this again.

I love these masks. They fit my face perfectly except it covers my brow bones ( causes break out) so I tear it open and fold the cloth above my brows. Compared to the black pearl mask this one is a little less whitening but still very hydrating and refreshing. I noticed a minor tingling when I put it on. I get the poreless look after 30 minutes. I think these are great to use in hot days when you sweat a lot. it neutralizes redness very well.
I always use these masks at night. It does take a while to dry, and the face is left well hydrated but a bit sticky.

Oh My Beauty Dairy, how I love thee. The masks are so inexpensive and works so well, I wonder why I never heard about you before! A sheet mask is shaped like a face with cut outs for the eyes, nostrils and mouth. It is saturated with the mask formula and you place this on your face after the exfoliation, cleansing, and toner steps of your skin care, leaving the mask on for 20-30 minutes. Personally, I like to leave sheet masks on until the sheet is semi-dry (usually about 45-60 minutes), take the sheet off, and then let the product soak in for another 10 minutes before applying my usual moisturizer.

The packaging/price: My Beauty Diary is probably one of the cheapest sheet masks out there that I trust enough to buy and use. I've seen some sketchy looking ones of brands I've never heard of for about the same price. In Canada, I can buy these at my local T&T for about $1-2 a mask, with it being cheaper obviously if you buy the boxes or larger quantities, or if you wait for a sale. As for the packaging, each different "flavour" comes with cute boxes with a picture of the scent/ingredient on the box making guess work for people who cannot read Chinese very easy (though they do have english on the boxes too). There are instructions and ingredients listed on the back in Chinese, and here in Canada they are required to put an English label on the packaging as well. Each mask is individually packaged in a colour coordinated pocket which you rip along the top. Very straighforward.

The mask: The material of My Beauty Diary's standard masks are very consistant and the same for every mask they have, other than the special ones with a different price. It is soft and of a medium thickness that does not rip when you unfold it, but soft enough that it clings to most of your face so that the formula is in contact with your skin. The only area that does not stick on me is around the nose. The shape of the sheet is also very close to my own face shape which is great.

The formula: Okay I'll be honest here. They have more than a dozen "flavours" and I would really base my choice on which scent I like, even though on the descriptions that you'll find on different websites that each mask has a different functions. I find them all to work only very mildly in the whitening, clarity and pore tightening departments, so don't expect any miracles or noticeable differences in these areas. Use the mask for plumping and moisturizing the skin, you'll definitely see how moisturized and refreshed your face looks after a mask, especially if you have very dry, flaky skin. Use it the night before a special event in which you plan to use full coverage foundation. It helps a LOT. I use these masks every 2-3 days in the dry Canadian winters here, and maybe once a week in the summer. They keep my face really moisturized for about a day and fades after the first cleansing routine. I only had problems with break outs if I use the mask more than 2 days in a row, which can be easily avoided by not using the masks on a daily basis. The product is not runny and does not drip off the mask when you put it on, and yet light enough that it soaks into your skin after about 40 minutes. I have sensitive skin and I haven't had any reactions to any of My Beauty Diary's masks.

The scent: The Apple Polyphenol Mask is one of my favourites because I love the scent of apples. Do be aware that most of these masks do have a pretty strong frangrence that could be overpowering for some especially when you first place the mask on your face. So pick a scent you think you'll like. It doesn't linger too long after you take the mask on though.

Summary:

Pros: Very cheap and affordable
Very moisturizing for people with dry, flaky skin
Wonderful apple scent
Easy to use mask that does not run, absorbs well, and is the right shape for me
Does not irritate my sensitive skin

Cons: Scent may be too strong for some
People with ultra sensitive skin may need to do a test first
May be hard to find a trusted dealer. Be careful when shopping online, there are reports of many fake MBD masks out.

Overall: WIll buy over and over again. A must have for dry skin. Be sure to exfoliate first! If you are interested in what mask does what, there are sites online that give you a brief description, such as:

I love this mask, it smells yummy, like all the My Beauty Diary masks. Smells like Granny Smith apples. I use this occasionally and I just used one yesterday.

I bought a 10 pack of this for $12.99 at T&T in Toronto, decent deal, could of been cheaper if I was patient. I have 4 left so it's time to restock soon. This mask is for "moisturizing, smoothing, firming for use on normal skin, especially recommended for skin with enlarged pores." I would say I needed all of the above.

The mask can be tricky to apply, as with all sheet masks. The sheets fits my face almost perfectly, the sides are a little wide. The packaging always has extra serum after you take the mask out, so alway run your finger along the bottom and apply it to your neck and chest area. I left the mask on for 40 minutes, it was still a little damp. My face was red and blotchy, rough, and uneven in colour before I used the mask, all this was fixed in 40 minutes. My face wasn't as red, and was instantly smoother. I looked like I had a facial.

Wonderful, quick pick-me-upper, for such a great price. I definitely recommend this mask.

I really love this mask. I can feel my skin smoother and softer after using it. The texture of the mask sheet is beeter than other Beauty Diary ones as well.

the best mask out of the whole mask line!!!!! it truly refined my pores for DAYS!!! because we all know that no mask can actually change your skin for good. this one in particular had not only made my skin bright and supple, but well hydrated and poreless! im not too thrilled about the price because its relatively hard to get a hold of and if you do, its quite pricey. the cheapest ive found this mask was at the San Gabriel Supermarket in SGV California, which was for $13.99 per box. however, i love this thing and it will be the only thing I will buy out of the whole damn line!!!!!

Agree with the reviewer below. Its nothing special.
When I bought this my skin was slightly oily and the pores were highly visible but as my skin is pretty dehydrated right now, the mask is too drying.
The essence is not at all sticky and smells delicious! Just like apple juice.
I cant see ANY difference with the mask, except for a few dry patches.
About the price, I've mentioned it on my other reviews for My Beauty Diary reviews and where to buy in the UK, so please check it out

This is only a so-so product for me, it comes in a huge package with different sorts of masks by My Beauty Diary, this is the fourth one I tried, not particularly refreshing as were the Red Wine Mask & Natto Mask though.
