I recieved a Hello Kitty pressed powder for christmas on year and LOVED everything about it, so when I ran out I decided to purchase it for myself. I bought this HK pressed powder and was not as impressed, I found it really hard to get the powder from the compact onto my face, without layering and layering. Other than that I love the color it is sooo great, the packaging is way cute, and the powder lasts.

This is very nice for a natural look or hightlight. I do have much better BPs than this but the hello kitty imprint and packaging is irrestible. A must have for any mac collector.

This is a really cute compact. I totally admit that I bought this because it's so cute. How can anyone resist HK packaging? I love taking this with me because I don't need to take a separate mirror along. Like others, I agree that it's not very pigmented, but it actually looks really pretty on my NW15 skin. I find it works well as a blush for me. I tried it as a highlighter, and while I like it I much prefer to use my msfs for that. It gives me a pretty glow. I don't wear it everyday, but I'm very glad I bought it.

This "beauty powder" is beautiful! :) some days ill wear it as an all over color, or sometimes ill use alot and use it as a blush right on my apples. my only problem is that my mac 168 doesn't pick up enough because it's so pressed, and i don't want to ruin the powder, so i take a bobby pin and scratch out a little circle (around the HK emblem head of course) and that makes it much easier to use. the compact is soo cute too!
oh, but if you're on the fairer side (im nc20-25) don't reapply or over apply because it will make you look overdone or orange-ish.

I use this beauty powder to set my concealer and as an all over face powder. It's not pigmented enough to use as a blush for me, but it's perfect for just dusting over my face to give myself a nice glow and a hint of color. I'm not a huge fan of Hello Kitty, but the compact is super cute :). The consistency of the powder is silky and very light when applied. This is my first beauty powder and I really like it!

I love, love, LOVE Tahitian Sand!!! This stuff is the best! I use this when I want just a hint of color on my cheeks & it works perfectly. It is a very buildable powder, but I usually use it for just a hint of color. I also LOVE the packaging!

I actually decided to get this in a swap just out of curiosity. I wasn't expecting much since most of the positive reviews were because of the packaging. I applied this with a thicker, denser brush and I actually got some color payoff! I wasn't expecting it because of the reviews and when I swatched it, it just felt like a finishing powder. Using this by itself gives a great glow. It isn't metallic, sparkly, or even shimmery. It's a very understated but noticeable glow. No product has EVER given me a 'glow', but a sheen or a shimmer (MSF, Mineralized blushes, NARS blushes, Dior highlighters, ect). All of those products have a shimmer to them - some are just more finely milled than others, but nonetheless, it is still obvious (I have to admit, I do like that look sometimes). But with this, no matter how much I pack on it will never be too much shimmer OR powdery. I *really* enjoy the finish of this product. What I like to do most, is apply this first and then apply a matte/satin pink blush. It gives me such a great peachy-pink color to my cheeks! Although I'm fair skinned, peach blushes have never looked good on my complexion. That is... not until I've found this little gem. This is the only peach I could wear on my cheeks. I'm never to be without it! I'm swapping for a back up immediately.

And yes, the packaging is cute/adorable/"so kawaii!!" and enough to buy it all on it's own, but the 5 stars is for the top-notch quality powder that lies inside.

This has been a part of my everyday makeup every single day since I bought it. My skin is so fair it often looks grey and this beauty powder gives me a nice healthy pinky color to my face.
I apply it all over with my Elf Studio Powder Brush over my setting powder.
Its a lovely color on anybody and the packaging is too cute. It even has a mirror so I take it in my school bag for touch-ups.

Love this product. :)

This is a great multitasking product. I had been using as a light bronzer and highlighter. This is great for me as sometimes I put on too much product. This is a little sheer so it prevernts me from overdoing it. I like to use it to set my founation as well, and gives me the healthiest glow. I really like this.
The cute packaging does not hurt either :)

This has the consistency of a complexion pressed powder rather than a blush. Subsequently, it is difficult to get color off on this and some serious elbow grease is needed. If you are less than NC20 you can use this as a blush but anything darker it will not show. I am unsure of this as a complexion powder since not many people are this peach. I tried to use this as a brightening powder but it made me look like an apricot. The reviews on here tell all, the ones at the beginning are MAC fans who give high ratings and as time goes by, it decreases to its real value. This is a redundant product, I just don’t see how anyone would use it. The packaging is real cute so I guess you can always depot you other powders and use this as a case. Glad I only paid $10 for it, even then it’s overpriced.

I only bought this for the super cute packaging! I mean it's Hello Kitty! I got this from my local CCO, so it was too crazy expensive. But the first compact I got had a scratch on the outside, the front, so I exchanged it and got a new one, and this one is hard to open, so I might have to go and exchange it for one that does open properly or just buy another one cuz the compact is too cute to not have. haha. But as for the powder itself, not too greatly pigmented, but that's ok, cuz it is a beauty powder, but mine doesn't even act like a powder, it seems like it's too pressed and no product even gets on my brush or even swatched! But whatever, it's ok, cuz of the packaging. :]

No, I won't repurchase because as an LE item, it now costs at least a leg from Ebayers with no scruples.. Supply vs Demand. Yea right.

I did not buy it for the cute little HK logo.. but because it is a really good finishing powder -- finely milled and works wonderfully on most of my clients with NC/NW 30-4.5 skin tones. I have tried it on personally and it looks great as a finishing powder on me too.. but even on me it doesn't show much color. Additonally there are many dupes - finishing powders which can do the same thing. I bought it cheap ..lol.

If you don't have it, you don't really need it.

Everybody who purchased this beauty powder, obviously bought it for the ooober cute packaging, cause I know I did. loll I knew what I was getting from reading the reviews on MUA, so I wasn't disappointed at all. I'm in love with the packaging, and the powder is alright, it's super duper sheer, no color whatsoever, but I do love the texture it's soo finely milled, it eliminates shine, and have a slight subtle pearl glow to it when swatched, but other then that it's a nice compact. I'll just depot it and put in my MAC blot powder, which is what most is doing, this is my first MAC beauty powder and I am very happy with it (:

Every single person who bought this product purchased it for the packaging. Period. The beauty powder itself is like a "gift with purchase." With that said, I knew it was super sheer prior to purchasing the powder. My cheeks are naturally rosy-pink, so I don't use blush. I was hoping the peachy tone of "Tahitian Sand" would actually tone down the natural pink in my cheeks and flatter my yellow-toned skin. However, the difference is very slight and I am sure that I am the only one who notices. It does make my skin look a little silkier and slightly shimmery. (I guess that's the "beauty" in the term "beauty powder.") All the actual powder itself is only good for eliminating shine. If you don't expect any more than that from the powder and convince yourself that the powder is really a "gift with purchase" for buying the Hello Kitty compact, then you won't be disappointed. If you love the compact, be indifferent to the powder, and you won't regret your purchase. Viva Hello Kitty!

I saw this at CCO and was immediately attracted to the cute packaging. But just as I didn't buy anything from the Hello Kitty collection while it was out, I didn't buy this at first because I had no idea what it was for and what to do with it. So I came home and looked it up MUA, read the reviews and decided: What the heck! Went back to CCO and picked it up. As another reviewer already mentioned, it is great for setting foundation and for toning down blush if you put on too much. The adorable packaging is definitely a plus, but I don't consider this a must-have product. If I ever run out of this, I'm definitely keeping the compact and refilling it with another MAC powder. I might even just de-pot it and put in my MAC Blot powder.

Picked this up at CCO for $15.50. Packaging was a little cheaper than I expected, but it's still nice. I use the powder to set my foundation. It won't alter the color of your face, but give you a slight glow -- quite pretty. If I overdo my blush, I use this to blend it out. Overall a pretty versatile powder.

I use this powder to set my foundation (MAC NC43) and it does not change the color of my makeup. This product is also great to use all on its own especially if you want to get rid of your shiny spots (for me it's always my nose). It does not clog the pores and it's very sheer. The down side that I find with this product is that it does not come with an applicator. I find this easier to apply using a powder brush.

I fell for the Hello Kitty for MAC hype and decided to purchase this product because I thought this would be the most useful for me. I couldn't be more wrong - it's way too sheer for my taste. Often, I'll finding myself trying to pack it on with a kabuki brush just to see any of it on my skin. Though I couldn't bear to return it (the compact is too cute), this'll be the last time I purchase a beauty powder.
Update (07/2012): I understand the purpose of a BP now, and use it everytime I need some colour on my face (like in the morning when I look dead tired).
