As someone else mentioned, as soon as I put this on I thought of Vapor Rub. I like the color of the glosses a lot though: the colored side is not what I would call a plum, maybe more of a rose-gold, and it is much lighter than I expected, and the plumping side is a faintly opalescent clear gloss. The finish on both of them is more dewy than shiny, which I prefer. I don't like the "greasy chicken lips" look! This gloss is not sticky, but did dry a bit tacky, which I think makes it last longer. I didn't notice any plumping, so I took off a lippie. But for one dollar, I wasn't expecting this to look like lip injections. I will probably buy another one of the darker colors, but since these run light I will avoid the lighter colors.

This is a pretty casual lip gloss, only it has the so called plumping side, which has this cooling, slightly stinging effect on your lips. I would defenitely not recommend using the plumping side alone (not to mention using it on sensitive/damaged lips, no way), as it can get too stinging. However, if you put the coloured gloss (or anything else, even a lipstick) over it, you get a nice combination of a cooling and coloured effect on your lips.

The only disappointing thing about this glaze is the colour payoff, which is simply too transparent - hence only four lippies. Apart from that I love the price, the packaging (though there could be a bit more product in it) and the fact that you can combine the plumping side with other lip products.

The Plumping part SUCKS at plumping, it does NOTHING, it tingles A LOT but gives no result, and the smell is VERY strong and stays for a while!

I like this color. It comes off as a sheer plum which goes well with my skin tone (very neutral). The plumping end is just menthol, like a lot of other plumpers, so if you don't like menthol, don't buy it. I don't mind it at all and find it kind of refreshing from time to time.

The packaging is occasionally a little cheap and it's easy to over tighten it, which leads to it not closing well.

The colors are pretty, but it smells like Vicks Vaporub- very unpleasant medicinal smell and taste.

I like the plumping formula b/c it makes my lips super smooth. The colored gloss does not look anything like the pic online. It's a very sheer color on me and looks like I just have clear gloss on. I like the consistency but it does nothing special for me.

i should first say that my lips are already quite full,so i didn't bother using the plumping gloss on the end.
this was,for me,a great MLBB shade.it was sheerish, but gave just enough of a tint and moistness to improve on nature.i didn't find it glittery or shimmery like some other reviewers did.the smell IS atrocious, but for the price and how much i like the result,i'm willing to put up with it.my only disappointment is the tiny amount of product.

Of the two E.L.F. Plumping Lip Glazes I tried, Plum Pout is the only one which barely showed up on my lips (the other two being Fire Coral and Mauve Berry). And even then, I could just barely see it. No color payoff with these in general, but Plum Pout DOES get an extra star because of that.

The tingling is nice, but the effect is nothing special that can't be mimicked with menthol or cayenne added to your lipgloss. Also hate the packaging. Applicators are flimsy, and the vials that contain the product weren't even full! I know it's only a dollar, but for that price I expect this ALREADY not-full-sized product to at least be useful more than a handful of times. Might as well pay ten times more for a product that lasts ten times as long. At least then you won't have to think about re-buying it.

I love most of E.L.F products and I do like the plumping lip glaze but I didn't like this color. There really isn't anything "plum" colored about it. It was more or a orangey red color.

This does not plump but it smells good and is refreshing to put on. This is very sheer, so don't let "Plum" scare you. It just brings some rosiness to your lips.

This is a tiny product compared to most regular gloss sizes. I think this is passing grade quality, not good, not awful. I have not liked any ELF product so passing grade for me is very good already. It did not plump my lips but it did have that little minty tingly feeling. I just liked the natural colour and shine. But any cheap lipgloss can achieve that. I have to say that I wanted to be impressed with ELF because it would be great to have good quality at such a cheap price. I will keep trying other things until I find at least 1 thing I really enjoy from them.

This product is okay. It feels tingly on your lips, but it doesn't really plump them much, although I have yet to try a product that really noticeably does. The color is not plum at all, but that said, I really like it! It looks almost exactly like my natural lip color - kind of a nude mauve. I figured it'd be sticky, but it isn't. The smell is kind of weird, but it doesn't bother me (the Super Glossy Lip Shine smell does though!). The product does contain menthol, so if you are allergic, beware. Overall, it's a decent product for a buck.

PROS: Like the simple packaging w/doe tip applicators. Very inexpensive (esp b/c ELF has frequent sales!). Does plump slightly. YLBB sort of look--slight tint (plummy red), very very very fine glitter. Decently moisturizing for a gloss.
CONS: REEKS of menthol(?) when you first apply (fortunately, it fades after a moment or two!). Slight minty taste, very slight plasticky taste. Takes a couple of dips of the doe tip applicators to get enough product IMO.

Overall, an ok product, especially for the price. However, ELF has better products out there--Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 in Watermelon--so I won't be repurchasing this one.

Backstory: I have been using Plumpers since I first realized they existed - I started with Du Wop Lip Venom, then moved on to Lip Fusion and then found an obscure Donna Loren Plumping Lip Glaze in Plum Pout at Marshall's for around $4 US. This little cheapo lip plumper did exactly what Du Wop and Lip Fusion does - fills in those tiny vertical lip lines and ever-so-slightly gives my lips a fuller look. Anyway, I started running low and did a little research on how to find the Donna Loren Plumping Lip Glaze again. Thanks to Google, I found out Donna Loren private labeled ELF's Plumping Lip Glaze line and was attempting to sell it for around $24.xx US. Ha! Obviously, it didn't work out for them, hence the reason I saw it at Marshall's.

Color: I wasn't particularly impressed with the color name - there's really no Plum to speak of, but it did give my lips a very sheer, believable wash of color in just-a-tad of cool mauve/neutral. I ended up with a my-lips-but-better look, which is great for casual make up days. (For reference, I am NC25). If you look at the ELF swatches on their website, you'll notice a difference between the bottle colors and the actual swatch. Choose from the swatch, not the name or what appears to be in the bottle.

Uses: As I said, I use it for a quick wash of color and to get rid of those tiny vertical lip lines. I usually don't bother with following up with the clear shimmer. I also use it over MAC's matte formula lipsticks (Russian Red, my HG of reds) and occasionally use it over lip liner alone. I found it works even better under shimmer l/s - it helps fill out tiny lines and preps my lips for color.

Bottom line: Although the product size is small, it's still only $1. That's ridiculously cheap for a Lip Plumper that performs as well as Lip Fusion. Buy 3 for $3; keep one as a back-up, 1 in your bag, and 1 in your makeup kit.

I really love this colour on the website but the odor is really putrid. Kinda makes me sick. So I threw it away cause the odor was really getting to me. Also, it's not pigmented at all! It doesn't even show up on my lips - only provides a transparent sheen. Not worth it.
