Esperys is heaven in a bottle! If you haven't smelled it, do yourself a favour and try it! It's an elegant womanly scent with great staying power. I spray it on in the morning and still smell traces of it when I get home from work. During the day it leaves a soft sophisticated trail behind without smothering others.

I'd describe it as a soft floral perfume that's fresh, yet warm. I find it sweet but not gourmand. And not fruity or candied either, like so many fragrances on the market nowadays. It smells expensive and stands out from the crowd. I've been receiving nothing but compliments since I discovered it a few months ago, it has quickly become my signature scent. It's powdery in a good, not old fashioned way, but I do consider it most suited for women over the age of 30.

Miraculously it works for me in all seasons. The citrus and floral notes make it fresh enough for summer wear, while the woody and musky undertones keep me warm in winter. Only on extremely muggy summer days, when just about any scent seems too much, I just wear a few dabs of the body cream. It's true to the scent of the perfume, feels luxurious, moisturizes well and makes my skin super soft.

BTW: love, love, love the classy design of E. Coudray products (see my picture)! Even the box is too pretty to toss, lol.

This has to be the most unique scent I own, out of 80+ perfumes: I have never smelled anything remotely like it. Not to mention the sexiest perfume in my collection. Sexy as in 'innocent sexy' though, if that makes any sense. ;) Toothachingly sweet, it manages to smell luxurious, soft and classy. Nothing like the uninspired sweet celeb scents that are all over the place. It's the scent of a sexy *woman's* skin: not suited for very young girls, IMO. ;) I'm a sucker for the nostalgic art deco packaging: now *that's* what a perfume bottle should look like...

The warm, comforting powdery scent envelops you like a cashmere sweater and never gets over powering or suffocating, like powdery perfumes can be. I love how it leaves a subtle scent trail everywhere you go. I have found myself wondering where this wonderful scent came from, as it seems to evolve so much during the day.

In the beginning I mainly smell citrus and red berries, then it's all soft candied roses and freshly picked freesia's, dipped in powder. At the end of the day the powdered flowers are still there and I get a creamy vanilla and a soft veil of white musk.

Right after I had sprayed it on for the first time in the store, I was stopped by a woman that clearly was dying to know what I was wearing, lol. And that happened two more times that day! Go figure: that never ever happens to me! Needless to say, I went back to buy it that evening.

It's a bit hard to find, but if you can get your hands on it, it's definitely worth the trouble IMO. I bought my bottle at Printemps in Paris, but you can get it online at Amazon and other places; just Google it. It should also be available at select places in the US: http://www.coudray-parfumeur.com/frame_pointsdevente_gb.htm.

Top notes: Calabrian bergamot, green leaves, pink pepper.
Middle notes: Damask rose, freesia, white caramel, Indonesian patchouli.
Base notes: white musk, precious woods, tonka bean, Bourbon vanilla.

They also make a body oil, body cream and a bath cream in this scent.

This scent is one I can't take apart at all as there is a lot of emotion rolled up in it. Looking online for some help though I've found the same to be true for others who try to review it! I went on a trip to Paris a few weeks ago. It's SALE time in Paris so Galleries Lafayette was PACKED with people. I wandered through the cosmetics downstairs finally asking where e. Coudray was sold. Lo and behold behind the hairspray and old man aftershaves I found my mecca! I was looking for another bottle of Jacinth et Rose or possibly Givrine when I sniffed this. I sprayed on a strip and on a whim figured since I love the other 2 this would be fine. The next morning I spritzed Esperys on liberally after showering and fell in love. THIS scent IS Paris!!! There's no other way to describe it. It is warm and floral with a soft edge to keep it sexy! It's not modern OR old fashioned. It's a little mysterious and wouldn't necessarily smell good on a very young woman. This is for someone who knows what she wants and has no trouble getting it either! I'm 42 and it fits the bill! I wore a dress and boots the other day with my hair up. That evening as I took my hair down, my husband was inhaling my scent and remarking at how sexy I smelled.

It is billed as an oriental floral. I wouldn't go that far. The powder of all e. coudray's is there for sure but it only boosts it's sexiness.

This is definitely one scent I am keeping around. I feel all woman wearing it!!
