I bought this on sale. AND NOW I KNOW WHY.

because it SUCKS!!!!

almost NO coverage??? How is that possible??

Foundation separated in the bottle. Felt like pulling oil on my face, even after shaking it up.

Ick.

This is advertised as a "creme" makeup but in reality, it is a liquid. I put this on clean, primed skin and attempted to gently blend it with my finger, a sponge, and a brush. In all cases, it just slid around on my skin, leaving it streaky and shiny. It also offers very minimal coverage. The best part was the pump dispenser, though this hardly makes up for the inadequacies of the actual product. For actual cream makeup, Maybelline's Dream Smooth Mousse is better, and cheaper.

I actually didn't buy this, it was given to me by a friend because she has very oily skin & I have dry. On the bottle it says for dry skin, so I was actually really excited about trying this, even though I've never liked Revlon products in the past. Most of the reviews I've seen on this are from people with oily or combo skin. I have DRY skin. Dry to very dry, so I feel like I need to review this from my point of view.

This is, honestly, like water. I shook the bottle and it sounds exactly the same as if you were shaking a water bottle. The packaging is awful, you have to pour it, it has no pump. It ends up spilling everywhere if you aren't careful. When you put it on your skin it feels like it blends very well, but I found that when you've work it for a while it splotches, with and without setting it. It doesn't last long, it'll sweat off/wipe off/wear off very easily. The coloring is very good, it matched up to my skin perfect, but it seems to turn orange/yellow as the day goes by. If you're like me, and get the occasional dry patches of peeling skin, this will highlight it, SO bad. Also if you have any kind of sun damaged/fine lines, this will make them look 100x worse than what they are. It doesn't have good coverage, I would say light. I would not buy this, and I will not reccommend it to anyone.

I've used some of the best and most expensive foundations including Lancome, Chanel, Mary Kay, Bare Minerals and Clinique and this is my favorite. It is perfect for my skin which is only a bit oily in the T-zone and normal to dry in other areas. The sand beige is a perfect match for my skin tone. I use the cream compact for evening and the liquid version for daytime. I've been lucky in that I do not have any fine lines or wrinkles so I have not had any problem with this make up settling into anything; it's great coverage for someone with just a little ruddiness to cover but overall even skin tone. To combat the bit of oiliness after applying I set the make-up with a touch of powder (Mary Kay's timewise powder and Bare Escentials mineral veil work great to set this one and the makeup stays fresh and perfect all day).

It sounded like a great idea, but this is one of the worst quality foundations I have ever worn. It looked good a first, but then I was blotting all day and it looked like it was sliding off my face. Not the look I was going for, yuck!!

The coverage of this foundation is fantastic. I absolutely love it. I compare this to Maybelline Age Rewind. The only difference is that I use the latter on an every day basis. I got this foundation at an outlet store for like $3-4, can't beat that. But it wasn't a good color match. Early tan is just too light & I couldn't return it. So I stashed it away w/ all my other makeup mishaps (I am a makeup pack rat!) I save everything in case somebody else can use it or if I might need it someday. But none the less I really liked the overall performance of the foundation. Good Job Revlon

I recently began a quest in search of a foundation that would not settle into the few fine lines that are slowly starting to appear ever so slightly under my eyes due to the lovely thing we call aging. I read about the Revlon Age Defying makeup with Botafirm and it sounded fantastic, exactly what I needed...little did I know it was the LAST thing I needed! I put it on after coming home from the store and wore it for a couple of hours...it was pretty good I thought. I then decided to wear it to work today, which was about 10 hours of wear. By about mid-morning, it looked as though a major environmental disaster had occurred right in the middle of my face...namely an oil spill!! I proceeded to "blot" the oil away as best as I could only to be left with a lovely bald patch, i.e., no makeup, on my nose as well as lovely makeup-less streaks on the other areas of the T-zone!! Talk about needing a clean up crew right about then; it was quite a sight to see! Needless to say, I then spent the majority of the rest of my day staring at my face in my little compact mirror, in between the blotting sessions, trying to reassure myself that it really wasn't that bad.....yeah, right! Oh, I forgot to mention, I now have two lovely, extremely large facial blemishes that compare to the size of small tumors. Quite attractive....haven't had anything like these since the teenage daze.....the makeup also doesn't "settle", and it seems like it's always moist so as you blot, it comes right off along with the oil. This definitely did not work for me and I am returning it after only two uses. Stay away and avoid a panic attack!

I have re-written my review of this foundation. Initially I loved it, it had a dewy finish and covered well, but I realise now that I was applying this in artificial light. I have spent the last 3 days applying this in natural light, and I am horrified by the results. Where previously I thought that this applied smoothly and gave good coverage, I can see in natural light that this is not a good option for blemished skin. The coverage is extremely patchy and blotchy in areas. I have spent at least 20 minutes daily trying to apply this to look good. My dry patches are very much emphasised, and on smoother areas of skin this looks lumpy and patchy. I normally wear CGs Aquasmooth which by far outperforms this foundation for smoothness of application and coverage. The concealer in this compact is in a slightly lighter shade than the foundation which makes it ideal for dark undereye circles. I have very dark undereye circles and fine lines, and this concealer covered the darkness patchily and settled into lines I didn't even know that I had! Beware with the color choices too, I normally wear Sand Beige in all Revlon foundations, but in this range the colors run very dark. I wouldn't say my skin tone was fair (NC20), but I had to buy the palest shade in this range in order to find a match. This morning I gave up with trying to make this work. I just applied a thick layer of powder on top, hoping to even out the uneven foundation before I went to work. I will not purchase this again and wouldn't recommend.

I did not care for this foundation. I like medium/full coverage foundations with a matte finish (but nothing too heavy or obvious looking) and this foundation is light coverage and has a moist dewy finish. I didnt find it to go on smoothly and didnt give great coverage. I have uneven skin tone with a bit of redness and this foundation really didnt do much to conceal it. My face also looked and felt very greasy as the day progressed. Worst of all, I didnt find this foundation to last long. It seemed to fade and almost melt after a few hours (I have normal/dry skin) It felt very thick and felt like i was spreading plaster on my face. This was just not good. My search for a great cream foundation continues..

I have : combination skin (oily t zone) and shade NC20.

I use this product in shade 04(nude beige) and was a bit light. I always tend to go a shade darker because i hate looking pale. This foundation really evened out my skin tone and made it look radiant. However it got a wee bit oily after an hour or so, but i think its due to my conealer.

I would reccommend this foundation if you have good skin(few blemishes), arent looking for ALOT of coverage and just want an even skin tone with a healthy glow. Plus, it feels very natural and light on my skin.

I bought this when the oher foundation I was looking for wasn't available. I got this in the lightest shade, Ivory, and while my skin is light, it's definetely not the lightest skin out there so if you have very fair skin this might not work for you. I really like that the matching concealer comes with it. However this makeup was only ok. The coverage wasn't great and if your skin is dry it will accentuate any flakes that you have (but I think that sadly also comes with most creme makeups). I'm in my early 20's so I'm not commenting on the botafirm aspect of it, but I also didn't notice any changes in my skin with this. All in all an ok foundation but I think I'll try something next time (which according to other posts won't take very long!).

This is a wonderful cream makeup that covers beautifully and has a natural, satin finish, not a powder finish. It lasts all day on my normal skin. The only beef I have is that the lightest color, Ivory, is just a little teeeny bit too YELLOW for my PPP skin. I must complain again that cosmetics companies seem to think that everybody is yellow-based, and there are very few options out there for us fair types with pink undertones. Also, I forgot to say that I used this up VERY VERY fast. It costs around $11, but you don't get enough to even get through a month. Very expensive for a drugstore foundation!

I bought the older version of this, which was dc'd to make way for the new version w/ botafirm. I really like this compact! I'm NC30-35 and have this in Sand Beige. It dries to a dewy finish, so I would NOT recommend this to anyone who doesn't have dry skin. The concealer that comes with this is also creamy and I apply it with my fingers. The sponge that comes with the fndn is a joke! I apply it w/ a fndn brush. The only down side is that even with my dry skin this fndn can melt in really hot weather, so I wear it under my Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder SPF 30. Makes my skin flawless and the added sunscreen in this is a nice touch! Hopefully the new version w/ Botafirm is just as good.

I am reviewing the original formulation, not the new one with Botafirm.I switched to Revlon Age Defining Makeup after giving up on Revlon ColorStay. Age Defining was creamier and easier to apply than Colorstay, and of course, much easier to remove at night. It did not cover as well, and the Age Defining foundation dried my skin out somewhat and made me flaky. I used it for about 6 months to a year. I wound up going back to using just Cover Girl translucent powder for a long while, I was so sick of foundation and it's inability to work for me. (I now use mineral makeup, much more natural looking and seems to work better for my skin.) Even though this has been discontinued and is in a different formulation, I personally would not repurchase.

This creamy foundation dries to a moist, dewy finish. It is not a cream to powder finish. I am very pale and pink. The Ivory Beige 01 was a good match for me. It is slightly yellower in tone than my skin but looked natural. It comes with a sponge. I have applied this with fingers, a brush, a dry and a wet sponge: all covered well and looked natural. My skin has gotten drier in the past few years. I am aging! The slim compact is dark gray in color and would look elegant if not for the clear window on top. The window is what lets you choose the color in the drugstore so it does have value. And there is a mirror inside the lid. The concealer is slightly more opaque than the foundation; but the foundation covers quite well on its own.

I love this makeup. I am not in love with the color, but thats because i got the wrong shade, i will probably buy the Sand Beige next time. I love the way this glides on so smoothly and doesn't dry "matte". matte=dry for me. I put it on and it covers mostly everything and I use the concealer over and it looks flawless. I love how it doesnt really ever dry and then i dust some Milani pressed powder or Studio fix over it and it stays in place all day. This also has antioxdiants and soy amino acids, and I think this has actually improved my skin, it is less dry and red.

For someone with dry skin, or skin that is dry in colder months, like mine, this foundation is great. I was using Cover Girl's Aquasmooth, but the color was a little too light and not enough yellow undertones for me. Plus, the Aquasmooth seemed to make my skin feel dry as the seasons were changing, and it kind of crinkled under my eyes.

I wanted to find another "compact" foundation because I like the ease of use, but didn't want to pay over $11 and end up with another mistake. What sold me on this one was it came with a coordinating concealer, it had titanium and zinc oxide for sunscreen (spf20), it said it minimized the appearance of lines which I took to mean it wouldn't look chalky and drying, and the shade I wanted (Nude Beige) was yellow-toned. It comes in a red compact with mirror, sponge, and foundation and concealer pans.

This is my 2nd day wearing it, and it is a breeze to apply, doesn't dry my face, and looks great. If I end up not liking it, I will update, but otherwise will keep using this until warmer weather comes again.

I ran out of my MAC studio fix that I use in the car when in a rush so I bought the age defying compact with concealer. It looks like plaster on your face. And it felt so thick, it was awful. I can't even use it just to finish it because it sucks so bad. Will never buy this again.

i love this no makeup look but flawless finish! to get more coverage, apply it with fingers, although it may be a bit hard to push it around ur face. if u prefer the natural finish, then apply it with a damp sponge. i receive a lot of compliments when ever i wear it.

I bought the compact version of this makeup, which contains both concealer and foundation. I had high hopes for this product, since it not only has sunscreen but also antioxidants. The concealer is decent, but the foundation is awful. It is almost like Crisco; it sits on top of your skin, and no matter how hard you try to blend, you end up looking like you've been swirling flesh-colored grease all over your face. I still use the concealer once in a great, grand while, but that's only when I run out of my trusty Physician's Formula "Wanderful" concealer.
Don't buy this!
