The colors are fine, I have the one with the pink and purple shades. However, the pink one shows up a little too powdery. But I do like that the base color as SPF 20. The other colors are quite pigmented and good and the colors are pretty easy to blend. However, the lasting power isn't that great at all. Even with a base, it faded pretty quickly. :| If it weren't for that, I would have bumped it up a lippie but until they fix that. It's a mediocre product.

I use buttercreme quad on the rare occasion that I do wear eyeshadow. I have sensitive eyelids and this is the only eyeshadow I can wear without having my eyelids irritated and then flaring into a bright red color. I love the spf factor and would recommend this product for those with sensitive eyelids.

I like the colors. They all work well together it comes with 4 colors. 1 is a base to use with the shadows. The colors do come out lighter then they appear. It also has directions to show you where to place the colors.

I tried Blue Smoke on my daughter who has dark brown eyes and on my own hazel eyes. It has lasted all afternoon and is a blue that looks good on brown eyes! The base seems to help the shadows stick better. I normally don't use a base. The included applicator leaves something to be desired but if you needed a touch up I think it would work fine. It cost me $10.49 at CVS but I had printed a $4 off a $20 purchase coupon for being a CVS rewards member.

I have this in moonlit violet and taupes - i used to love both quads because of the color selections, the convenience of having all shades in one place with labels about where each one goes, and they look beautiful when they're first applied. But they fade unfortunately - I wouldnt mind if they're weren't so pricey; you're better off using NYX which is actually cheaper.

I have this in Butter Creme. It was hard to choose which color would be best (the other brown/taupe shades looked similar) but this is the lightest. It does crease after a long time (my eyelids get oily), but the color is natural-looking and brightening at the same time. I use the base, crease and highlighter colors but I'm not going to try the accent (darkest) shade because of my fair complexion.

I bought this product a month ago in Buttercreme because I liked the colors in it. It creased a lot and I thought it was because I wasn't using a good enough primer for it, so I switched from Urban Decay's Primer Potion to MAC's paint pot but it still caused creasing after only two hours. I also noticed that it was hard to apply and took a bit of work to get the colors to show. This product was a total waste, I don't recommend it at all.

The color selection is excellent I think. Even with the more neutral, natural shades you can build them up for a more dramatic look. The SPF is a bonus. I want to love them because the shades look so good on my skin, BUT:
The colors don't last, and they crease within a few hours, even with UDPP. The crease shades (I have Sea Shell and Butter... Toffee? I think is the name) don't seem pigmented enough and I have to swipe my brush more than I'd like to get it to show up on my skin. But then the accent shades, the darker/more dramatic colors, are almost TOO pigmented and it doesn't help when I just want the subtlest of dimension on the outer corner. So I don't know.
Plus, $10 is a little on the expensive side for a drugstore brand. If Neutrogena can reformulate the staying power I will definitely buy again.

I got this product in Moonlit Violet, number 170, and let me tell you, it is BEAUTIFUL! I love applying it, it is so easy to do blend the four different colors step by step, it's awesome. I didn't think I'd like it so much since I'm not very good at adding crease colors and having them look nice, but this quad makes it SO easy. I use it practically everyday, and even though I have very oily eyelids and haven't gotten a decent eye primer, it doesn't crease and stays looking beautiful for hours.
Only problem is the so-called "highlight" color is darker than the base color, so I substitute the base color for an all over the eyelid color. It's gorgeous. And I love the packaging, and how they made each color size appropriate to how much you need (e.g., the base color pot has much more than say the accent color). Awesome product, will SO buy again, and can't wait to try the different colors!
P.S. I'm 21, fair-skinned, blond hair and blue eyes, by the way.

Just got the "Moonlight Violet/Plums" quad two days ago and I really love it! The colors are really pretty, and shimmery. I was wearing a tan eyeshadow, but wanted more color on my face cuz of powder and such. Anyways, I like all the colors, the base is perfect, the purple-y hues look really pretty on my green eyes. The packaging is really cute and helpful too. I also like that it has spf in in, so i won't get wrinkles on my eyes. HG eyeshadow for me!

I got this quad in Moonlit Violets. The silver and plum colors really popped out to me, and since I had a $10 coupon from Neutrogena, I decided to try this (which retails for $9.99 at Duane Reade.)
As other reviewers mentioned, it's nice that you get everything in one compact, and that the base shade is more product than the others. I also agree with previous reviewers that the colors are not that pigmented.
Aside from that, this quad is pretty good for the price. I do not, however, feel like for this particular quad, that the way they recommend using it is the best color combo for me. it's far too pink and girly for me when I wear the pearly pink base all over, and the plum has a pink undertone, too. I will try some different applications, but I think the black and silver will be nice to have in my collection.
Overall, I'd be open to trying other colors, and I would recommend these quads for a professional, daytime look.

I hate to be a party pooper, maybe the other colors work better.
However, I have this in Buttercreme, and I feel while these are very soft, the colors in this quad are not all that pigmented. It takes a lot of going over the same area to get it to show. When they do show up, they look pretty decent, so three lippies, as it didn't do anything horrible to my lids.

I have used this for the past couple weeks in the shade Moonlight Violet and they look so pretty! It glides on so easily and blends really well. My only problem is that after a couple of hours it fades slightly and forms a line across the top of my crease, which is kind of weird, but i am willing to overlook it because everything else is so great and you have to look really hard to see it. Overall I recommend this product and will buy it again.

*****7/19 I am editing this review because I got the rest of the quads and had to say just a bit more about them. I have used all 8 quads now and I love them all but one, the Garden part one, the colors are beautiful greens, and I love them alone but I don't like them together or on me, maybe I can use them apart and they would be ok,. I have to say though these quads are so amazingly soft, the consistency (SP?) is wonderful especially the crease shades, on every quad they are soft, I swatch them and the feel creamy almost. I am so in love with mine that they are all I have been using for the past 2 weeks maybe 3, I have all the duo's from Neutrogena and I love them as well, and reach for my collection of Neutrogena shadows more than any other brand I have even my M.A.C's. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone.
I got 2 of these off ebay for 99 cents each plus shipping, still got it for dirt cheap. I got the moonlight violets and sea shell, and I love both of them. I wanted something more natural for summer and these are it, they are pigmented but not garish, and you can do different looks for day and night. I just got the rest of the colors off ebay for 2.83 apiece, including shipping, can't wait till they get here so I can play!

I got the Nourishing Quad in "Butter Creme"... and LOVE it. For a drugstore eyeshadow quad... it definitely works well!! Looks great, design is cute, packaging is perfect and small, and price is nice! :) I love the "Butter Creme" colors. They work great with my skin tone... light & warm. It's got SPF 15 and if you can't tell, i'm totally impressed with this product! ;)

LOVE this quad. I impulse bought the Wines for my hazel green eyes. I LOVE how it is almost like Application for Dummies with the key words right on the compact and helpful diagram suggestions on the back of the package. The colors are great, lasts all day, not sparkle or shimmer which is not really a good thing for middle aged ladies. I love it. I am such a product junkie and this is for sure a keeper and WILL buy again, maybe in other colors to play with. Price was $10 at Walmart and I think that is a VERY fair price when you have a complete kit, no need to buy separate colors for highlighter, liner etc...

This was an impulse buy because I loved the colors of the Sea Shell Quad. I haven't had any luck with any of the Neutrogena eye shadows in the past, so I wasn't expecting to like these. It comes in a small flip top compact with a large "Base" shade and three smaller shades; an accent color, crease color and a highlighter color. I must say that my favorite is the base shade, great color and pigment. I really like them all, they go on fairly sheer but with good color return. They blend beautifully together, and are not "sparkley or shimmery" but more glowy, if that's even a word! These last ALL DAY! This is also a great quad for those who are quite sure how to apply eyeshadow, as there are directions with pictures on the back for three different looks; natural, casual and smoky. Great for everyday wear. Compact is around $10, but can be purchased on sale at most CVS, Walgreen's and Rite Aid.
