I really love this shampoo! Not so much for its volumizing abilities (didnīt notice much of that), but because I have the feeling that it cleans really thoroughly without being harsh at all, and it produces a wonderful soft and silky lather. Afterwards, my hair feels clean and it doesnīt lack moisture or shine, as it can happen after other volumizing shampoos. Also the scent is nice, and I prefer its slight herb-y aroma to other overly fruity or sweet scents. Will definitely buy again!

I needed a sulfate free shampoo so I grabbed this one. I love the fresh scent and it seems to do a good job; however, it has caused MAJOR back acne. I'd tried this brand, different formula before and couldn't remember why I didn't rebuy, now I remember -- ACNE. Not sure what it contains that causes my breakouts but it is definitely the cause. bummer!

My favorite, holy grail shampoo. It cleans my hair without stripping my scalp of its oils and leaves a wonderful scent. I don't really notice a "volumizing" effect but it gives a little more boost than a regular shampoo. I have been using this EverPure line for years and will continue to repurchase. As a side note, I have very straight and thick hair.

I've always had very healthy and fine, but strong, hair. Until I started using this shampoo. I bought it to protect my hair color, but it turned out to be a huge mistake. I didn't realize it was drying out my hair and causing it to break. Now my hair is frizzy and thin and it's breaking like crazy. Ugh. I went back to my cheap Herbal Essances and my hair is starting to feel better now. I do NOT recommend the EverPure shampoo or the conditioner.

There have been quite a few reviews that mention drying out the hair, I bought it in the hopes that it WOULD dry out my super oily hair! I love that it is sulphate free. I only used it once so far but so far so good, I didn't even need conditioner (which I didn't buy) which is shocking for me as my hair is usually a rats nest to comb out while wet if I don't use conditioner!

So far this stuff gets an A+++ from me, will update if any major issues chance my review.

I've also reviewed the conditioner that goes with this -I really like them both, separately but weirdly, I don't think they work as a pair

I really like this shampoo. It smells gorgeous (fresh, slightly minty), and feels like a lovely luxury to apply -despite being a sulphate free cleaser, you only needed a teeny tiny amount of it to lather & cleanse really well. However after a few weeks I was somewhat disappointed to see that my hair was quite a bit flatter -it wasn't exactly limp, but it didn't have the amount of life it had before, and didn't feel as 'swishy', plus I was getting odd spot-like bumps in my scalp quite often.

It took me a while to work out what probably happened is that because the shampoo doesn't have sulphates but the conditioner that goes with it does have silicones, they weren't being washed out (as only harsher sulphate cleansers get rid of them properly) -so unfortunately the fact that this is lovely and gentle means they don't work together for me, despite being a pair.

As with the conditioner the is packaging attractive -not ridiculously girly, not bulky and easy to open in the shower. It didn't open in my wash bag when I went away & wasn't too hard to get the last of it out, with a bit of persuasion.

If I bought this again (I'd be tempted, as with the conditioner, if it was on offer) I'd try teaming it with a silicone free conditioner (mostly found in the natural organic ranges)

My hair is naturally flat and fine, and this stuff made it even flatter and finer. I don't know, I guess its just not for me. On the upside, it does smell pretty good and I don't see how it could damage the hair. Seems gentle. But its just way too conditioning for my hair type. Maybe good for a coarser hair. Not sure.

I ran out of shampoo so while I was on my way home from running errands one day I stopped at a drug store to grab something quick, saw that this was on sale and thought I'd try it. I'm kind of undecided on this one. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. This is not like your typical shampoo and it does take some getting used to. It does lather a little but doesn't foam up into a rich lather like regular shampoo (which I kind of expected) that didn't really bother me that much but it didn't leave my hair feeling clean like I had hoped it would either. The scent is just ok. Not offensive but not really "pretty" either. I colored my hair several days ago and the only positive thing about this is that it didn't strip the color from my hair. There are worse shampoos out there but I don't think this is something I would buy again. This is just not for me.

This shampoo is the shampoo I have been looking for all my life (or at least since puberty hit.)
I have straight, fine hair, that is extremely oily at the roots and dry at the ends. Most shampoos exacerbate this problem, and leave my hair disgustingly flat and greasy, while also being dry and straw like at the ends. This shampoo...removes all the oil and moisturizes the body of my hair. It leaves it smooth, shiny, voluminous, and bouncy. I didn't know that my hair could look like this. I can even go a day without showering and my hair won't look gross. I've been using this for 2 months. By 2 months, most shampoos stop working for me. I've continued to have great results with this. If this is discontinued I'll be sad.

I really, REALLY wanted to love this and the conditioner; I love how it smells and what it does for my hair. However, it does the same thing a lot of Aveda products do,which is it broke out not only myscalp, but my face as well! I even had a zit above my eye on my browbone! It was awful, so I went back to my JF Root Awakening. I wish I could have used it, but the bumps were too much! !

I really like this shampoo. I use the conditioner too. I know the scent turns a lot of people off, but I like the way it smells. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and doesn't weight it down at all that I can tell. If defense of the gals who have said it's sulfate free, it DOES say sulfate free on the bottle - I'm no chemist so ... But I DO like this a lot.

Edit: 4/17/12

I purchased this in Feb. in the mist of studying for my boards. It's been over two months and I find I like this shampoo, it's still true that it's drying alone, but with conditioner it's great. It does smells wonderful, adds shine, I find myself reaching for this and it doesn't build up. I love the scent, it cleans, rinse well, and I mostly like the lather that's a plus! I can't stand shampoos that do not lather.

This is okay-not great, if i don't put conditioner it's very drying! Like ultra-drying. Makes your hair straw like dry. it does a decent job at volumizing my hair. Smells good too, lathers well. When I used it the first few times-it was nice, foams really well. Just recently after a month use-I notice it lost of the magic

I just want to let everyone know the person that said it was not sulfate free doesn't know what shes talking about. Laurel Sulfate is the only real sulfate in a shampoo. Sulffocante is sodium. She didn't do her homework.

Wasn't impressed with this at all. Of course, after using Kerastase and L'anza products it's difficult to be impressed with cheap drugstore brands, I suppose. This shampoo left my hair feeling dirty, unclean, and looking limp and blah. No increased volume whatsoever--in fact, the opposite was true--it had LESS volume.

I really need to clear up something about this shampoo. It is the absolutely not sulfate free what so ever! Bottom line, it has by products of sulfates in it. The second ingredient is a by product of a sulfate. If a shampoo claims to be sulfate free and it foams at all it is NOT sulfate free. Any shampoo that foams has sulfates or by products of sulfates. Overall, it smells good, didn't give me any volume and cleaned my hair well. Wouldn't buy it again though. I'm not sure if all the other l'oreal everpure products have by products of sulfates in them but i would assume they do. So its basically false advertising.

i figured vegan shampoos would be good for my hair, so I looked through and found this one. It is infused with rosemary and mint and I found it a weird mix but after I used it in the shower it wasn't to bad. It left my hair really clean and tingly.
I've been noticing a little more shine than usual but that's prolly the lower chlorination in the water talking. Since i've moved to a new city.

I came across this while searching for easy to find sulfate-free shampoo. I live outside the US and can't find many brands that carry sulfate-free products yet....

I mainly switched from TresSemme to this to keep my hair from falling out (I have a hormonal disorder and I was losing clumps of hair with every wash).... It really helped me in that area, keeping the hair loss to only two or three strands per wash

My only complaint is that even though I used it with its sister conditioner and I felt that my hair became very dry....

I am now using Giovanni's Triple Tea Treat combo (I had to ask someone to bring me some from the US because they don't carry it here) and it has worked well for my hair texture

After having a bad experience with the EverPure Smoothing line, I thought the volume line would give me similar color protection without the heavy coating. Not so.
I understood that this shampoo wouldn't lather that well since there aren't any sulfates, but not only did it not lather, it didn't wash out completely. My hair felt coated and not at all clean, and definitely no additional volume.
The only reason this gets a 2 is because the color protection is there and the smell is fantastic. Other than that, it's too expensive and not effective enough for me to repurchase.

I liked that this shampoo was sulfate free, because I thought it would be more gentle for washing my recently-darkened hair, which is why I bought it. Overall, I was not impressed. No additional shine or softness with this stuff. Maybe a slight increase in volume over just a regular shampoo, but there are much better volumizing shampoos out there. I liked how thick and creamy the shampoo was, and the herbal/rosemary scent, but that's about it. Made my hair frizzy and have a lot of flyaways, which is not a common problem for me. I would not recommend it. It is not especially cleansing, or moisturizing or really anything special at all.

This is by far my most favorite drugstore shampoo ever. At first I didn't like the smell, was too earthy. Now I really like the smell, the consistency is fine. It doesn't come out jelly-like and is not runny. I only need about a nickel size amount for my shoulder length hair. (i shampoo twice) It leaves my hair feeling so clean and ready for conditioner. This gives me enough volume so when I flat iron my naturally curly hair I can fluff it up at the roots with my fingertips it looks soft and bouncy. Paired with the vive pro hydragloss conditioner this makes my hair soft, manageable and not weighed down. Great product :)
