I was disappointed in this. I absolutely love Lash Blast Volume and Fusion and no matter what else I try I always come back to those mascaras. I thought this color sounded intriguing and I liked the pink tube so I picked this up on a whim. I find that as far as volume, length and definition goes this performs much like Lash Blast Volume and Fusion do, so no complaints there. The color is the big disappointment for me. For a shade called Cabernet I was expecting a rich ruby/eggplant tinged black. This looks like a plummy, metallic bronze on the brush and translates to a flat brown on my lashes. It didn't look terrible but it wasn't what I was looking for at all, not dark or dramatic enough for me. I use it occasionally just because it's around but I would not repurchase.

This is all I wear. Being a redhead, I can't / won't wear any black or off black or even brown mascara; it just looks funky on us gingers!!! SO... when I saw this 'cabernet', I thought... okay so it seems like it's an 'auburn' tint, and it has a bit of a shimmer... give it a shot. I loved it instantly... not only does it just about perfectly match my dark auburn roots (hair gets lighter at the ends due to sun exposure, etc.), but it goes on wonderfully, NO CLUMPS, lengthens, thickens. It is so affordable and doesn't dry out. I highly recommend this color to any brunettes or redheads out there who don't want raccoon eyes and who want to look more 'natural'!!!

i love the color! i love the mascara! doesn't weight my lashes down a bit and can be applies twice or more for more dramatic lashes. i do have to say i was a bit disappointed that people weren't able to see the sparkles from a distance but from up close i can and they look pretty
i dont think it makes them look fuller, just more defined and a teensy more lengthier

I really like this product. I generally feel that a lot of mascaras look somewhat harsh on me but this one does a nice job of defining my eyes without looking harsh. Also, my eyes tend to water and other mascaras smear around my eyes, but this one never does. Some reviews complain that it doesn't last all day. Maybe, but you can literally sleep in this mascara and it will not be all over your face when you wake up. I have green eyes and I find that this shade compliments them. It looks almost like a nice brown when it's on.

:( I had to give this a 3 because I can't see the red/purple tint at all. I was really excited to try this and it just didn't show up. For those of you who can make it show with your lashes, you are so lucky! I didn't give it a 1 because I still love the formula and the big plastic wand.

I have the pink tube (luxe version), and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by what it does for my lashes. I was using YSL's Faux Cils in Noir Radical prior to this and was disappointed in it because it clumped and some of it would always manage to rub off on my lids by the end of the day. Lash Blast has not clumped nor rubbed off at all. It makes my lashes quite long and somewhat voluminous. There is a subtle hint of purply/reddish sparkles in the sunlight, which I love. It also holds curl really well if I gently curl my lashes after letting it dry.

I like the Cover Girl lash blast (orange tube) and this seems to be the same formula, but because it does not do what it says it does, I have to give a less than favorable review. I don't see any color or shimmer and I have told myself to stop buying mascara with alleged color or shimmer only to be disappointed. Where is my dang receipt...

Color is very subtle, don't notice the plummy reddish purple at all, however it definitely makes my blue-green eyes pop. Just barely darkens my dark brown lashes. Mascara formula is great, doesn't flatten curled lashes, 1 coat gets me a nice daytime look, 2 coats gets me a bolder, evening look. No issues with clumping, wand works fine to get all of my lashes.

I love the color and the volume is great on me, I just don't like that it doesn't last. I'm thinking of trying a primer to make it last longer.
I bought a two-pack when I spotted it, though. Reddish mascaras are REALLY hard to find.
ETA: It gets crumbly and disappears faster as it gets old. Definitely not for all-day wear.

I LOVE this mascara! It makes my eyelashes look thick and long as well as complimenting my eye colour. I love the added sparkle in the 'Luxe' brand LashBlast.

Wand: It's big and bulky. Which Im not a fan of. the bristles on the wand are very small. Which makes it hard to get at those baby lashes. So, if you have lots of those, this you should consider another mascara.
Formula: When I first bought this mascara, it was fairly watery, and after a week and a half, it dried up a lilttle bit and is now easier to work with.
Price: I bought this for about, 8.47$ CAD, ON. Thats fairly cheap.
Packaging: The Packaging is just like any other mascara packaging.
Would I buy again?
No, sadly, I will not buy again, simply because, it wasnt anything special. And I want to try out other things.
Overall: By the end of the dya it apperaed that this product wore off on me. Also, it flaked alot! When I put it on around 8am, about 1 pm, it was already flaking on me.

You people must not be using this product properly. Idk if you're new to makeup or what, but this is the best mascara and the only mascara I will ever use again. 100% HG, hands down. And 10x better than Diorshow.

I wanted to like this! For one, it seemed dried out the first time I opened it. It didn't look like black with shimmers at all - it looked like lavender-colored mascara that was shimmery. The last thing I would want is to lighten my eyelashes with shimmer. In any case, you can't see purple or shimmer at all on my lashes - and they don't even seem like they are defined either. Like when my mother gave me her empty mascara tube when I was a kid to play with - there wasn't anything left in it, dried out. That is how this mascara felt. I had to coat it on to get any payoff at all, let alone color payoff. Maybe it looks really pretty on blonde eyelashes? In any case, on my flimsy black ones, it didn't work. :(

I was attracted to this because of the color. It is a shimmery plum wine color. I especially dislike the tube. I really dislike these cigar like tubes. But that is just me. The wand is short and thick. The bristles are short and widely spaced. It is hard to get at corner lashes. The effect is mixed. I like the color. I did not experience flaking or fall out. But it took forever to get length and I got very little volume. If you wear a whitetoned lash primer underneath you get better results and the color really pops. I

The shimmer is so pretty! But the positives stop there. I found this to be pretty gooey and smeary. It coated my lashes like glue, making them feel heavy. Took a while to dry too. Just not worth it for me.

This mascara isnt too bad in the sense that it does lengthen and separate my lashes pretty well but here are the Cons...
I have sensitive eyes and I find that because CG puts shimmery stuff/sparkles in their mascara it REALLY irritates my eyes.
-I find its had to not get all the goop on your lashes as the brush gets a lot of product on it and its hard to manouver because its soo thick!
EDIT: I have completely stopped using this, and rinsed off the mascara wand so I could use it to take out clumps when using other mascaras:PI just couldnt handle the irritation it gave my eyes...

Ok so far I love this! I will have to edit my review later after I have had it on for a while. I hated the regular lash blast. It was horrible, and did nothing it promised. (at least for me) I decided to try lash blast luxe because I read it had glitter in it, and this color was supposed to be a blackish/purplish/reddish. I did put on 2 coats as I always do, and this looks amazing! My eyelashes are dark, and look fake! I had to give up my favorite yellow tube maybelline after is started flaking on me, and wasn't optimistic. I haven't yet gotten to look at it in natural light, but I think you should try it! Walmart will take it back if you don't like it!!

I don't necessarily LOVE this product, but it did make my lashes look long and voluminous. The shimmer added a nice dimension to my lashes. I didn't really love the applicator but over all good product.

I've been lemming this for a while but I didn't need anymore mascara. Then I went into Target and a two-pack was marked down to $2.62 plus I had a coupon so how could I walk away from that? I really wasn't expecting very much, but it works just as well as the original LB which I really like very much. It lasts all day and doesn't flake or smear. Provides big volume and nice length, too. And it doesn't smell weird. I just don't see the "Luxe" part. I mean, is it supposed to have shimmer or something? I just see a dark plummy color. But overall it works for me.

The color just looked brown and even up close you couldn't see the sparkles. Made absolutely no difference in the way my lashes looked. I returned it. Sorry.
