I initially passed on this product as we didnt have a sephora here and could gauge what the colour would look like on from the pics. Well, I have been on the hunt for a more cool toned highliter. I contour, use blush and then fall flat with all my highliters as they are either too warm (Albatross), too subtle (Meteorites) or chunky glitter (MAC Msf's) - i have been desperate for something cool to really pop on my face and not just blend into my face and disappear and this stuff does fit the bill. COns: Can't stand the cardboard packaging, and I am not happy that its made in China, i thought all TF was made in USA but this particular item is not.

this powder has sentimental value to me..watching the smurfs as a kid and still to this day I love smurfette..she's girly, a flirt, and lets not lie, she loves the boys, and the boys love her back :)

the packaging is cuute too, its grey and black striped with smurfette on the front with a pink heart behind her, it opens up with a mirror surrounded by the smurf boy's..on the bottom is the powder. and on the back it says;

"Perfect your complextion and feel ultra femme with Smurfette's signature Too Faced Illumiating Face Powder. Instantly brighten and tone with this combination of soft, color-correcting shades that blend together for the prettiest perfection (once only available to Smurfette herself). How smurfy!"

stepping into sephora to buy my tarte eye liner sharpener [too cute] I ended up seeing this powder..which is absolutely adorrable! I grabbed it up, and knowing its LE im glad I did.

color-

the powder has many color's, and they all serve a purpose, and help illumiate, brighten, and ultimatly soften ur complextion.

the powders all make up smurfette..she's the actual powder, and the colors are:

-backround-peachy/coral bronze shimmer.

-her hat-crisp white shimmer.

-her hair-yellow shimmer

-her face-blue shimmer

-her body/dress-strawberry pink shimmer.

you can use a highlighting brush like the mac 168 or 165 or a stippling brush to apply, you don't need much.

I just swirl lightly and buff in where I normally highlight. the colors combined give me a luminous glo that nothing ever has.

the colored powders can be used alone too, sometimes I use the white part for highlighting my cheeks, the pink part for blush, even the blue as an e/s. its very versitle.

texture:

very creamy and soft. if you have a mac msf you kno how fragile they can be, well this powder is even softer, and because it is so soft, it can crumble if you are too rough with a brush or drop it, so you have to be very careful. but the formula is unlike any powders that I have tried, its absolutely amazing, its also my first Too Faced powder, I have there teddy bear hair kabuki brush, im impressed with both products.

the price is about the same as an msf from mac..more than I want to spend, but worth it.

the product is in a square shaped pan, and should last a long time, its 15g/0.53oz. a little bit more than mac's studio fix powder.

overall: im extremely happy with my smurfette highlight powder, I would suggest it to my smurf lover's or anyone looking for a good highlighting/illuminating powder..I would test it at sephora before you buy and make sure it works for your skin..there's cool and warm tones in the powder, so I think anyone can pull it off :)

if you have any questions, let me know! xox

Jerrod at Too Faced has vision, he comes up with great products that really helps a girl feel girlie. This highlighter is fantastic, it has a nice dewy sheen as opposed to a garish reflective quality. It helps keep the oilies away too. There is nothing about this highlighter that I don't like. I've been carrying it around in my purse for two months, it lasts a long time, the package is sturdy, the makeup has lasting power, costs 26.00 at Sephora (not available thru the TooFaced site). The product picks up on a brush easily too, no scraping required. Much easier to use/blend than any liquid I've tried.
Highlight Powder Ingredients:

I think I am the only reviewer for this product who was not taken in by the Smurfy packaging! With that being said, this powder is wonderful for those who are looking for a shimmery glow. I had been using Guerlain Meteorites for months and, after putting two-and-two together, figured out that it was making me break out. Thus, I was looking for an all-over face powder that was slightly LESS subtle than the Metorites -- more shimmery/dewy, in other words. I must admit, when the SA at Sephora suggested this one, I was extremely skeptical. However, after application (and using it for a couple of months now) I can see that this illumination powder is perfect. You achieve a certain glow, and it does not break out the skin (it's not scented like the Meteorites). As with most other makeup application, just be sure to use a light hand!

I'm a big fan of Too Faced bronzers and highlighters, so I jumped on this one when it came out. I was looking for a sheer highlighter that would give me a "glow" without giving me any extra color and this definitely fit the bill. It's shimmery, but at least on my NW20 skin, it's not too shimmery for day time. Just enough to give you a dewy sheen but without making you look sparkly. It reminds me of a sheerer version of Too Faced's Snow Bunny Bronzer but without the darker bit that makes pale girls like me look like we've gotten some sun. Which is fab, because that's exactly what I was hoping it'd be!

Also, to anyone who's intimidated by the blue part of this palette, don't be! It does NOT show up blue on your skin. Even when you swipe that part hard with your finger, you'll barely get a real blue tint as it's really sheer and when blended into the rest of the powder, it just helps brighten your skin.

All and all, this is great highlighter and worth every penny. The Smurfette cuteness of the packaging is just a bonus, as truth be told, if they ever rereleased a powder like this without that theme, I'd still buy it in a heartbeat. For me, it's not just a novelty purchase. I love it!

I LOVE this product!! Yeah, the smurfiness was too much for me and I had to go buy. But the actual product is wonderful - I would say this is the best peice of the too faced's "smurf" makeup collection. I do have pretty clear skin after years of going to the dermatologist - no blemishes. I find this makes my whole face glow with low shimmer and no sparkles - which I like in eye shadow and lip gloss but not in any other face product! I even tried it on an oily part of my combo face and it both mattified that area and made it glow. LOVE it.

This product is too shimmery for daily wear IMO. It's nice if you want to do dramatic makeup and go out, but way too much shimmer for day to day. Also, if you swipe your brush over Smurfette only, you'll get a nice white luminnizer, but get any of the pinky outter color and it turns bronzey...which is not what i wanted. Packaging is cute, but not great for keeping it in your purse. I returned this.

I'll admit what initially attracted me to this product was the packaging. I mean it's way too damn cute! I mean it had to be considering I killed most of my gift card with it's hefty $26 price tag. All in all I'd say it's pretty decent. The other reviewer is absolutely correct about the whole shimmer thing. It has just enough. It doesn't look like you threw glitter all over your face. It almost looks...hydrated in a way. It also has a nice scent and I like the fact that all the colors are seperated. You can use one for cheekbones, or the pearl color for brow bones, whatever. I give it 3 lippys because it just doesn't give MY skin that Oomph factor, you know? Then again I don't have very clear skin so I'd reccomend this to the lucky gals with smooth skin. If you have acne it just brings out the redness even more, but, that you will find with just about any illuminating powder.
