Almost HG status...I wish the white primer wasn't quite so stark white as it detracts from the blackness. I don't know why they felt it needs to be so white; it's not like priming your walls lol. But it's better than Blinc & Fiberwig and the only product that prevents smudging. Nice lengthening & volume, easy enough application. I wait only a few seconds after priming. It does need a careful hand to prevent clumping which is why I would prefer a darker primer. The less handling the better results w/this one. I will occasionally apply only the mascara end over any of the 9 or 10 other mascaras I have lying around, to prevent smudging. Will continue to repurchase.

This product I love for only 1 reason: when used together (both the white side and the red side), my eye mascara will truly stay unsmudged the entire day. I will never get that annoying racoon eye smudge that i will get from all other waterproof mascaras when i'm using this mascara. I use this mascara every single day. The white primer which helps the mascara not smudge is great! however, the only thing is it can also weigh down my baby asian lashes so that the curled lashes do not last at all. However, the fact that it doesn't smudge and visibly lengthens my lashes, I will continue to use it on a regular basis.

Best mascara I have ever tried!!!! I have tried Lancôme, Dior and many others none that work pr last as good as this product.
Gives great lengthening, volume and long lasting.
Great product and better than the expensive brands.

This product is great at not smudging & being easy to remove with warm water and I will buy it again just for that. However, after a few uses, both the mascara and primer comes out in clumps on the brushes and I have to remove the clumps with tissues before I can use it - this cuts down on the already small amount of product in each end, so I took off a lippie for that.

My HG mascara hands down! Makes below average length and fullness lashes long and beautiful. Will not budge all day and comes off super easy. If they stop making this product I would go insane!

I had been looking for this mascara in local drugstores for several months with with very little luck. I finally found it on Amazon.com, and I've been wearing it now for over a month, I'm very pleased with this product so far. There is absolutely no smudging, and the coverage is quite good. I have only one complaint, and that is with the brush which makes applying the product evenly a bit of a challenge. Using the primer does seem to help, but not a great deal. I do like this mascara, in spite of this. If you're looking for a mascara that won't give you raccoon eyes, and doesn't break the bank, you should definitely give this one a try.

Just as good as fiberwig from imju at sephora, exept with fiberwig I had to buy the prep coat from Lancome seperately. Where as the two combined did give a better finish then this mascara by Loreal, its not worth the price for the two ($45ish). And it doesnt look to much of a whole lot different plus your supposed to throw your mascara out before three months so I cant afford that kind of commitment. I replace this beauty tubes one once a month. After a month of daily usage I start to get tubes in my eyes threwout the day. I contribute this to the black layer constantly mixing with the white every use and it messes up the concentration of the top coat causing it to flake. Also, if I let the white primer coat dry before getting the top black coat on it will not come out at good. You really have to use it a few times to find the perfect amount of time for you to let the white dry before adding the black. For me its about 5 seconds, no more no less or there could be problems LOL. I love the tube type mascaras though because no racoon eyes guaranteed~! Plus, a breeze to remove with warm water. Cant beat that.

Omg.. love this mascara!
I have tried the Million Lashes by L`oreal and i found it gave me black smudges under my eyes when i had it on only for a few hours. It gave me length and it seperated well, but i found I had to wait for about a week of using it before it was a good thickness to use nicely. The double extends has not given me any of those problems from day one! Yes, I will admit, it is a double step mascara, so it takes a bit longer to apply, but it`s so well worth it. From day one of use, it was a good thickness, never clumped and was very easy to apply. It also lengthened my tiny bottom lashes without smudging under my eyes.. I love this stuff!

This is one of my favorite mascaras. When it comes to drugstore mascaras-- L'oreal are my favorite hands down. I love this one because it does not budge! no smearing, no racoon eyes and it even withstands the occasional tear or rain drop.

Annoying to get off because of the "tubes" you gotta kinda peel them off, but totally worth not looking like a racoon throughout the day.

I clearly remember, at the age of 13, (hey, I'm on MUA for a reason--I started young, k?), when my mom told me I needed to wear waterproof mascara. I had smudges underneath my eyes, and from that day forward, I have never bothered with a mascara isn't waterproof--until I found the most wonderful invention known to my poor smudge-prone eyes, the tubing mascara. At first, blinc was the only one I'd ever heard of (in those days it came in a blue tube,) and I had to order it out of sephora's catalog, but jeez was it worth it. Easy to take off, zero smudges--but at $25 a tube (this was several years ago,) I used it only rarely. I wanted to preserve the magic.

Fast forward a decade later, and several new brands of tubing mascaras are on my radar, most notably, my beloved l'oreal. Imju failed to impress (dried out in the tube so quickly, never added the length it promised, and the sniper version totally broke within one use,) too-faced lash injection (omg, flaky mess...hate it,) and again blinc (still love it, but very expensive.) ultimately, l'oreal is my HG mascara--it is not perfect, but it is the only one I ever bother to purchase anymore, and here's why:
1. It does not move until I want it to, and I have the worst, most allergy prone, desperately in need of drops, contact lens wearing, eyes on the planet
2. It gives sufficient length and volume, and if you have a metal comb (you should have one, really,) is easy to define
3. It comes in blackest black!
4. Ridiculously easy to remove, thus does not damage my lashes, which I am trying vigilantly to make long and luscious
5. Can be found at reasonable prices, if you take any sort of care (Kroger sells it for around $8 or so, plus save up CVS bucks and wait for l'oreal sales...it pays off, promise)

My mine issue with this product is running out of mascara before primer. I wish they sold just the mascara, cos sometimes I don't care to use both, but whatevs...I still haven't found anything that comes close to it, and I'm probably on my 15th tube, so that's saying something.

I was very disappointed in this product. Women who are looking to extend their lashes or use the "tubes" typically have short, stubby lashes. And while these did extend a bit (though nothing close to the 80% longer claim on the package) it DOES NOT volumize the lashes AT ALL. It just gave me spidery, thin slightly longer lashes, almost as though I wasn't even wearing mascara at all.

The reason for the 3 lippies is due to the fact that it does not smudge, but why would it? Not a fan.

HG alert! This is the only mascara I will use, after years and years of searching for *the* one. I've tried everything from high end brands down to the lowliest store brands, nothing works for me like this & here's why:

I have super oily skin, yet dry, dark under eye circles. When removing a conventional mascara (if it stayed on throughout the day), it would settle into my dry under eye area and make my circles worse. This comes off like a charm. I use a paper towel to moisten my lashes and then gently pull the tubes off.

Tip: I do not use the white stuff that comes with it. I curl my lashes, put the mascara on, wait for it to dry completely (which takes hardly any time at all) and then curl again. These look like false lashes! The black is SO black & doesn't get chalky looking, it's great for dark hair/eyes.

I have oily eyelids and cant seem to find a mascara that doesnt give me racoon eyes by noon. Ive tried all high end and low end products but the L'oreal double extend is great! I had it on all day and no smudging at all! I agree with the other reviewers that the packaging is awkward and only give length and not much volume but overall good product and fair price. Taking it off was easy,i soaked a cotton pad with warm water and placed it on my eyes for 20 sec, all the mascara came off on the pad in little strings. Saves me money from not having to buy pricey eye makeup remover too.

I was ready to stop using this because it seemed to splatter all over throughout the day, but then I stopped using the primer, and just use the mascara. Voila! I finally have a mascara that seems to stay in place all day.

I really liked this because it was not clumpy at all! I hate clumps but thing I didnt like was this it stuck 5 lashes together and made it look like one long lash : P But It did look really nice and I will probably always have one of these in my makeup bag

This product was okay, it is lot better than some but worse than others. I think it reflects its price range, which is medium. Doesn't do anything particularly dramatic to my eyes, doesn't curl or lengthen much even with the primer. Yet it doesn't clump either. Since it doesn't do much I decided to not use it anymore since I don't want to carry it around. I was disappointed since I'm a fan of L'oreal products for their price range, so I figured this would be just as good. Having used the L'oreal Telescopic mascara I much prefer that one.

I've purchased the beauty tubes a couple times now and people ask me often if my lashes are real. I really love this mascara and the removal is very convenient. Makes lashes look awesome. Volume, length, and black with no clumps. Would recommend and repurchase.

I've tried a few of the most affordable tubing mascaras: Clinique Lash Power, Clinique High Impact Curling, MAC Opulash - and now this one.

At first I didn't believe that it was necessary for me to immediately apply the top coat after the primer, as I never had to do this with the other tubing mascaras I've used in conjunction with lash primer.

But it is necessary to do it immediately - if you wait it looks really clumpy. I like how smooth the application is with the primer, also speeds up the process.

I have long, straight lashes. I curl them a few times before application, and then once after application. The mascara holds the curl very well only when I curl after application (which isn't good for the lashes and make the curler messy). Otherwise, it does not hold curl well.

It provides incredible length but not much volume. The pigment is not as dark as I would like.

It has great staying power and washes off very easily. For a drugstore tubing mascara, this is good. But it still left me yearning for more volume and darker pigment.

I only use tubing mascara, so for now I have switched to Clinique Lash Primer and Clinique High Impact Curling mascara (holds curl well and very nicely pigmented, still lacks in the volume department though). The Clinique primer and mascara duo is of course more expensive, but it's worth it because the Clinique contain much more product than L'Oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes.
