I have fine, wavy hair. I recently moved from a dry climate, where a daily blow dry would leave my hair straight all day, to a coastal climate, where blow drying and straight ironing wouldn't keep my hair from unattractively curling up within hours. My hair really isn't that curly but I decided to stop fighting the waves and encourage them to be better.

I was ordering expensive Japanese shampoo online before I moved. I was considering doing the same here, switching from the straight to the curly version, before I saw this product in Sally Beauty. It works GREAT for my hair, and for less than $7 it is a great deal considering what I used to spend. It smells like green apple and leaves my hair light and bouncy. I can definitely see more definition in my natural curl/wave.

Have not tried the corresponding conditioner yet but am using ION anti-frizz leave-in conditioner with great results.

Everything from this whole line generally sucks huge testicles, but this shampoo takes the cake. Maybe it's because my hair is just too thick and too dry in general, but I found that this did absolutely nothing to "define" my curls. In fact, it did quite the opposite- dried out my hair like CRAZY! I can't imagine how this could possibly do any good to anyone elses hair period, considering the crap ingredients this is made up of. How anyone could talk me into paying $6 for this is beyond me.

I absolutely adore this product! It defines my curls( which I guarantee you that no other shampoos including salon brands have ever been able to do), eliminates all frizz, and softens my hair, so it's not weighed down or oily/dry. However, I must say, I let my friend try this and it made her hair(which is also curly) a frizz ball. Apparently it doesn't work on everyone, but she also has very thick, coarse hair, so that might be the problem. With that being said, I have found absolutely no problems with this shampoo. I use it with the styling gel(not the conditioner though) and it is phenomenal. Don't use any conditioner with it because it makes the hair too oily. This shampoo makes your hair's balance just right. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who has normal to thin hair...it didn't seem to work so well on thick hair. <3 forever

I really wanted to like this product, and I did initially. I have fine, pin straight hair that I get permed once a year and I wanted a shampoo that would help to cleans my oily scalp while conditioning and maintaining my curls. It definitely did get my hair nice and clean and even allowed me to go two days (three days with the help of a dry shampoo) between washings which was very impressive since I tend to have very oily roots. In conjunction with the conditioner (reviewed separately) my curls were nicely defined and i was very pleased with the combination :)

but after about a week of using the shampoo and conditioner, my hair started to feel a little bit too dry at the ends and my scalp started to really start itching and flaking. Since nothing has changed with the weather or my normal routine, I'm forced to conclude that the shampoo/conditioner is the culprit. maybe this will work better for people with naturally curly hair, but i think this might be too harsh for my chemically treated hair :(

I cant believe I am saying this.. but OMG.. this shampoo is amazing. First off.. I am very skeptical when it comes to shampoos.. I have used almost everything under the moon for my crazy hair..
And I was almost out of hope when I went to sallys to get my cold cream and I thought to myself... okay nothing in the super market works.. and non of the high end products work at cosmoprof for my hair.. so why not.. and I bought this and OMG.. I cant believe how little I needed to use and my hair was soo sily when I put the conditoner in.. I didnt even have to comb my hair as I normally do with any other conditioner. I was soo shocked and I couldnt believe it.. but believe it.
I hope this worls as well as it did for me on others.. I just am still in shock.. and happy :)
