I was excited to find this at my CCO because I had missed out on its re-release with the Love Lace collection. I applied it to my lid with Hypnotizing in the crease and thought it looked okay until I looked at myself in natural light. This color just completely washed me out. I n order to get any payoff I had to layer it on and then it just looked like a dirty dusty grey color. The duochrome effect, which seems interesting in the pot, did not transfer to my lid at all. I'm sure this would look great on blue eyed gals, but it just wasn't for me. I'd like to try Vex and see if that works better for me. I'm an NC25 for reference.

I bought this because i heard so much hype about it, it's duo chrome and i am a die hard fan of Mac duo chromes, until this one all i can do with this sucker is use as a highlight and it still doesn't look like i'm wearing anything, grey is not my best colour, nor is silver but i decided to give it a shot and sadly it fell short of my expectations.

I do not normally gravitate towards makeup with a frosty finish, but I love highlighter colors and gray shadows (Pin Curl looks light gray in some lights) so I had to give this one a try. Every time I wear it, I like it more - and as a MAC duochrome, it is difficult to dupe. Gorgeous with just about every shadow you could imagine, Pin Curl is officially described as a dusty white, but I would also add that it has very soft pink and gray tones. The texture is wonderful as well, and I didn't find it chalky at all unlike some reviewers - it actually blends beautifully. At this point, I am seriously considering a back-up for this shade, since it is unfortunately LE.

I'm so glad I got this, the colour is totally unique to me and not something I would normally have picked up, but it realy is a great base or highlighting colour and works so well with taupes, greys, blues and purples that it's a welcome walk away from pinks for me. It manages to be just on the right side of light grey, not too icey so it doesn't make me look like a ghost, but with a little shimmer that I love.
I can see why people find the texture a little chalky, but it's not hard to work with, lasts well over a primer, blends fairly well and as long as you tap the brush off well there is limited fallout.

I really like this product, but I wouldn't buy it again because as others have said Vex is its better counterpart. The colors are different, however, and I am glad i picked this one up. I really like it with Shale

This is yet another gorgeous and unique duochrome from MAC that is of course, limited edition. I love the overall color of this shade .. a soft light silver/grey with a soft pink/light purple flash (varies depending on the base), however the only beef I have with this is the texture. It just doesn't seem to apply with as much pigmentation as some of my other frosts or veluxe pearls. The color in itself is so unique though, that IMO, it's worth owning. It's gorgeous paired with a deep navy, a smokey black or a rich purple. Overall, I'm glad I have it.

Everyone below gave this such great reviews that I went ahead and ordered this one online. I was looking forward to having a nice light grey eyeshadow, but when I got it and patted it on with my 239 brush, it barely showed up at all on my lids. I'm kinda disappointed in this color.

I had Crystal and swapped it when I got this - a more complex version of a similar shade. It's a greyish lilac with pink iridescence. Gorgeous with purples! Fabulous texture (frost) - I wear this with Rave Pearlglide and it's subtle but glowy and so springy! MMM/MC35

i like using this as a tear-duct & brow bone highlight, super pretty, super different, very modern. too bad its LE i might need a backup :)

I love this eyeshadow. im an nc 50 in fondation . Pincurl matched with embark or a teal color is amazing. Pincurl looks grey in the pan but it a faint pinkish grey once applied. I love it, its sexy. especially with false lashes, its very mod.

To me, Pincurl seems almost like a less shimmery, more pigmented version of Arctic Grey.
That is to say, Pincurl is a slightly shimmery (seems almost more like a Satin than a Frost to me) light-to-medium gray.
On me (NW15; brunette; green eyes), Pincurl is just a tad too deep for a highlight, but it makes a great lid shade.
I love the fact that Pincurl has a pink rather than blue cast; that's much more flattering to my coloring.
I love grays, and Pincurl is a good one!
I'm not enough in love with it to go for a backup, though if I ran out, I'd want a similar color.

Pincurl is exactly what I hoped Vex would be. Vex turned this weird greenish grey shade on me that was completely unflattering. Pincurl is a pale dovegrey on my NC15 complexion that has the pink opalescence of Vex.Great paired with Shale and Nocturnelle for a smokey eye. Love it

This is a dove grey shadow with lavendar duochrome. It is too dark for me to use as a highlight (NW15), so I use it as a lid color. It is very subtle, but gives a very soft, pretty effect that looks great with my blue eyes. I like to use Dovefeather or Shale in the crease to compliment the purple or Silver Ring to compliment the grey. I have worn this several times in the week since I bought it, I may need a back up!

Its is a nice silverish frosty shade with a pink sheen to it, but I need to grind my brush into it so many times to get the powder to show. It is lovely for blending in a smokey eye but application is a problem for me. I personally prefer Electra over this.

I purchased this from the Blonde, Brunette, Redhead collection. I purchased Top Knot and Knight to go with this. It's beautiful and works very well as a highlighter.
This shadow is a frost finish. It is a duochrome purplish grey color. It matches the Top Knot and Knight very nicely. It's perfect harmony. This color reminds me a lot of Vex.
I may just purchase another one of these before the collection becomes too hard to get. I have been wearing it for the last 3 days.

This is a great eyeshadow. If you like seedy pearl, or vex this is for you!!! It is has a duochrome, but it's main color is a nice subtle purple / silver. The duochrome is both pink and green just like in vex. Very subtle duochrome though, a perfect soft color for those who love soft looks! I would buy this again and I am wearing it today with shale eyeshadow.

New, from MAC's Brunette Blonde Redhead collection. Pincurl is a Frost finish, a very nice pale dove-grey with a slight pinkish reflect to it. Lovely as a wash and as a subtle highlight colour...it's definitely cool-toned; a very elegant shade!
Goes wonderfully with Knight from the same collection.
