My new favorite spring summer lipstick. A deep vibrant pink/coral that makes my lips pop. Also like the lovely rose Hydrabase scent.

This is a very wearable red-neutral, suprisingly. Easy to put on, unlike real reds where you need to use a brush and a liner. It isn't heavily pigmented and I personally don't find it as creamy as a real pigmented, non glossy red. Slip is not good for a red as it will bleed easier, and I do find that this has slip. On me, it seemed glossier and shimmier than my usual matte reds (I wear red a lot), and indeed was very wearable, really easy daytime look. This is a keeper, and I would bet that most can wear this "red". For reference, I am pro lumiere in Limpide (lots of pink and red in my cheeks, light complexion).

this is a new shade from Chanel for Spring 2009-a very unlikely spring shade-a hot pink/red! it really is similar in tone to their Holiday 2008 Red Shine Glossimer -red like a maraschino cherry. Very pigmented and creamy, in the tube there appears to be a subtle shimmer to this shade, but on the lip it just reads as a cream. Chanel's Carmin lip liner goes perfectly with this lipstick. it's surprisingly flattering and wearable bright red on my LLL/hazel/brunette complexion (currently wearing Chanel TI foundation in the shade Cameo, 1.0 for reference)

This is a very wearable red, even for daytime and very moisturizing for lips. This is also my first Chanel l/s.

Gipsy Scarlet is one of the new Chanel 2009 spring colors and I received it as a gift. To me the name "scarlet" implies a red/orange color range. However, this comes off as a very deep pink, but with a strong red base instead of a blue base like I typically wear. This is a hydrating matte formula with no sparkle so it's perfect for day. It's a true neutral and is surprisingly flattering even with my very blue undertones. This is a fun alternative for someone (like me) who normally wouldn't choose a red lipstick. UPDATE: I just read a few spring Beauty Blogs and this particular Chanel shade is categorized as "the most wearable neutral" in the collection.
