BEST, shiniest, clear (with 1 coat) nail polish. it looks peachy in the bottle but its clear w/1 coat and w/2 coats you can see the peach. fabulous shine-with ONE coat! much better than trying to get the shine from buffing your nail bed. tried this on at my friends nail salon and was blown away by how shiny it made your nail. ran to sallys and bought my own. fantastic for girls who dont get the nails on their hands painted but want a polished look on short nails (i dont get my hands done often because unless its GEL, that nail polish is chipped & gone within 24 hours). will buy this forever!

I absolutely love this. I wanted this one for two months before I finally caved in one day. From the name to the finish, this is the perfect natural lacquer. It goes on like a gel and is very smooth. It doesn't dry very fast, but I am convinced that it is meant to be worn with one or two coats at the most. This would look amazing for a french manicure and gives nails a healthy rosy glow. I don't use this very often, but I can tell you it is just lovely.

Almost every time I go to Sally's I end up buying a nail polish on impulse. I was looking through the various shades of China Glaze and I didn't want to get anything that's overly dark and stands out. I typically only wear dark or bright colors for special occasions. During the rest of the week I try not to wear nail polish because it weakens my nails and it tends to chip. Chipped dark nail polish is not the most desirable look, and I am very lazy about taking it off.
That's why I went for this shade that's a subtle peachy pink. It looks darker in the bottle than it actually is. If you want the color to show up significantly, you would probably need to apply a lot of layers, or just go for a different color altogether.
This polish is basically the color of the nail bed, so it just enhances the natural nail a little bit. It is shiny and glossy but contains no sparkles whatsoever.
I really like it.

LOVE this color. I had been longing for a natural nail color I could wear when I don't want it to look like I have polish on.. THIS IS IT!!! It is your nail color.. only healthier!!! With one coat or two it looks like a healthy pinkish flush when compared with the non polished nails.. though alone you'd never know it was painted.. with three coats it looks like the bottle color.. but I don't recommend it.. I don't believe it is supposed to be worn that way. Beautiful and I will buy again and again!

Didn't totally want to ruin the reviews for this polish, in the bottle it looks like sheer wash of pink - which is it, just on my skintone - NC25 it looks awful...similiar skintones may want to look elsewhere.....

I disagree with some of the other reviewers that the color on the nails looks nothing like what is in the bottle. If you tip the bottle, you can definitely tell that this is not meant to be an opaque color. It's very sheer and thin in consistency. So I got what I was expecting - a very sheer peachy pink tint that doesn't make a huge color difference on the nails. It just gives them a beautiful, healthy look. I use this over 2 coats of Nailtek ridge filler which, on its own can look milky white, even a little grey on your nails. After applying just one coat of Love Letters that grey cast is gone, so I know that the color payoff may be slight but it is definitely there. It works for my purposes and I love it! This is my first China Glaze polish, but it won't be my last.

if you want a clear sheer and don't want essie pink glove service, then this is a great buy. 2 coats gave a little too much of a feverish pink. i'm not sure why there are some comments around about this one streaking, maybe the formula changed. this formula doesn't have enough pigment to streak. I bought a brand new bottle from sally's 12/09.
the application is nice, i tried it with a clear ridge filling base coat (sally hansen nail quencher) and poshe fast drying top coat for a glassy finish.

I LOVE this polish!! Lately I have been wearing lots of reds, so for a change of pace I purchased this. Then I read the reviews, and noticed that they were pretty bad. I used two coats and could definitely see the pink. I thought my nails looked very natural and pretty and HEALTHY, due to the slight blush of pink. I can see this getting lots of use :)

This is a nice polish, It's nothing like the bottle as other reviewers have said, It's clear until you get about 3-4 coats on, then you get a slight coralish pink. I think this is actually intended for french manicures, as it would be perfect for that, I just bought it because I liked the bottle color, After applying about 4 coats, I have nice pinkish tinted nails that are clean looking and well taken care of, If your looking for opaque color, pass this one up. I was impressed with how easily it goes on, thick and shiny, however it does take a bit longer to dry, This may replace OPI as my fav brand as the last few bottles of OPI I've purchased have gone back due to quality issues.

I like this color, I wear it almost daily now for "clean" nails. I hate chips, so I'm lazy and wear polishes that won't show chips right away. It's pretty much clear with a sheer pink-milky tinge, if that makes sense.

This is a good workhorse nail polish for those that don't want anything overly dramatic and don't bother to upkeep sheer opaques. This gives my nails a healthy glow. If you're like me and your nail beds often have the purplish appearance of someone who is suffocating, this will warm them up nicely. Chips, etc aren't obvious and you can add a new layer nightly without it getting gummy or gross.
A great dupe for those sad that they can't find CND's "Nail Gloss" color!

I bought this thinking it would give that pale pink jelly color, and as other reviewers said, it's pretty much clear pinkish. I applied up to 6 coats over the course of a week and it never got much more than sheer once it dried.
If that was all, I'd love it, but it's slightly peachy pink, so though it looks OK over the pink part of my nails, it makes the tips look yellowed! I was disappointed that it was so sheer that it didn't give the cool jellied look.
It's nice and shiny, and wears well, that's the only pro.
The con category is that it makes the tips of my nails look stained or yellowed and frankly even makes the pinkish part look a little yellowish too.
This was an overall disappointing product that I don't have any use for.

I don't generally comment on nail polishes because I'm not a fanatic. But I was intrigued enough by this one to review it....like many other reviewers said, it is NOTHING like it looks in the bottle. I was hoping for that jelly coral color and was disappointed by the first coat. It was almost clear, but next to my unpainted hand I could see the tiniest tinge of color, almost like expertly buffed natural nails.
Second coat, a little more color, still quite sheer and not much darker but again, compared to the hand with one coat there was some difference.
Third coat, perfect natural color. It somehow became a teensy tiny bit more opaque, still sheer but the perfect color for my "don't want to do my nails but don't want them to look undone" days.
Overall, NOT a what you see is what you get color. But, in spite of that, I love it. It makes my nails look "polished" as in well cared for....a step above clear polish. The shine factor is fantastic and I can see using this quite often.
EDIT: I got great wear out of this, today is 8/29 and I'm just now noticing some slight chipping.

I love this color! I am a fanatic for any color polish from teal to orange to green to purple, but sometimes I just want a natural look. The color is very subtle and it give my nails a slight hint of pink, which makes it look more healthy. This would be perfect to use for a french manicure, but I've been opting out on tips just b/c I'm lazy...haha! So I've applied about three coats and it looks so pretty. The staying power of China Glaze is pretty good. I've been wearing it for about 5 days now without any chipping. I used Seche Clear as my base and Seche Vite as my top coat so it should last a bit longer. I will definitely repurchase once this bottle runs out.

I adore this nail polish! It's so natural and lovely, with a slight pinkish tint that's very subtle. From the color in the bottle it does look more pigmented, but I'm very pleased with the outcome. I actually get a lot of complements on my nails when I use this.
This is my HG nail polish for everyday natural, beautiful, healthy looking nails.

This polish looks lovely in the bottle, a jelly peachy-pink. However, once applied to the nails, its a sheer, clear polish. Theres no color whatsoever! Im so glad I was able to return this to Sally's! Dont buy this by looking at the bottle, you will be deceived!

I don't understand why there are so many negative reviews for this nail polish! It is the perfect sheer nail color for day to day wear. It makes my nails suuuuupppppeeerrrrr glossy and the color makes my nails look so healthy. I will definitely be repurchasing this when I run out.

China Glaze Love Letters is the perfect example why you should never buy something without first consulting MUA. As other reviewers noted, this looks like a pink jelly in the bottle but once applied, is completely clear. Now, I could've maybe dealt with this if it made my nails healthier or slightly more pink, but nope: clear. Stupid Love Letters. So I returned this, (and I hate returning products) and the SA at Sally Beauty was all, "It's for French manicures." No, it's for people who don't have/want/need a clear polish.

If you want a clear polish in the ChG line this is it.
I was disappointed, as I was hoping it would have the look that is in the bottle-but it doesn't.
I think ChG should have made the polish clear-to avoid confusion & disappointment.

Wow, I’m shocked to see so little love. I have to write a review just to defend it. Yes, it is true, ChG is not known for their sheer/soft shades. And, yes, it is true, this shade is VERY sheer, but I like it.
I love ChG because of all their bright colors – which is what I normally wear. I used to wear a lot of sheers, and today I decided to go back to that look for a little while (let’s see how many people are shocked)
I received this in a swap. I used to wear Orly’s bare rose, but this looked like it would be more flattering on my skin tone. When I put on the first coat on my left hand, I looked at it and thought “well that did nothing” but then I put my unpainted right hand next to is. There is a very subtle difference, but it’s there. The left hand looked a little bit healthier in color. Then I put on two more coats. The color was a tiny bit more noticeable, but still hardly there. It looks like nothing but clear nail polish, but it makes the nails looks a little pinker, and a little brighter, and it is just enough color to blur imperfection and soften the nail line. It is extremely shiny as well! Like, super shiny! I, for one, like it.
I would like it even more if it where slightly more pigmented, but if I want a very natural look, this is my go-to polish. I would pick this over a plain old clear any day!
Update: I have finally mastered the free hand french mani, and so that it what I have been wearing lately. I have been using Love Letters as my all over color. I like it because it does not turn the white tips as pink as Orly's Bare Rose does. When I put this on, it looks as though I have on gel overlays. The peachy color is still apparent on the nail and over the tip upon close inspection, but is subtle, which is good for traditional french tips (as apposed the the more "American" manicure, which uses more pink and a softer tip) because it is more clear looking. I have already used up a good amount of the bottle, and am loving it more and more, so I have moved my rating up to 5 stars, because this may be on of the few nail polishes that I could ever see myself using up and repurchasing.
