This is a special occasion perfume for me, as I find it a bit too strong for daily wear. I absolutely love the sweetness to it. One good spray lasts all day, so I'm happy to spend the money.

I've been on a fragrance hunt for the past few months, trying to replace my Pleasures (although I occasionally wore my prior favorite Juicy Couture). I've have tried literally dozens and dozens of products through samples or full size bottles these past 2 months, and have almost given up, while I liked many they just didn't "suit me" as smelling like me if that makes sense. Prior to Pleasures and Juicy I had always been an oriental floral type but changed preferences some place along the way and after several years of wearing a floral type, now my hubby cannot take an oriental floral, and almost every sample I tried recently either got no response or "hmm... what do you have?" and not in a good way. LOL

Okay to Ralph Lauren Romance Always Yours, I would definitely say this is it the one I'll be buying the full size in, however I need to wait just a bit more as I have 3 more samples coming and I want to be certain first.

I like the original Romance, however find it doesn't have much staying power on me and holds the "mens aftershave" smell on me almost entirely until poof it's gone, unless it's sprayed on say a sweater and I pick the sweater up a few days later, it has a lovely smell but that doesn't come out on me the initial day I'm wearing it.

With Always Yours, while it has that familiar smell of Romance, I'm find it has a softer more feminine scent to it and lasts on me... so it has that "kinda sharpness" that I like about Pleasures and the original Romance with that softeness that I wish they both had! So for me this will be a keeper unless these next few samples once they arrive happen to be spectacular. (Waiting on Womanity and Alien by Thierry Mugler and also Jadore)

Update: After wearing this for a few days I realize that it is a bit to spicy and still to "aftershavy" of a fragrance for me. My other 3 samples arrived and that's a whole different story, not liking a one.

This is probably a stronger, muskier version of RL Romance. The good side of this fragrance is that it lasts, even only with one spritz..... Many may not like the smell just because it has a strong musky smell to it upon the first spritz, but just like other long lasting perfumes, the base note emerges after a couple of hours. It would greatly complement a lady with sophistication and personality, and yes..... More a night time perfume. Would not be exactly what you are looking for a sweet dinner date or a summer perfume.

This is a pretty perfume, but not one of my favorites. It's a strong, slightly spicy, floral, with emphasis on STRONG. I absolutely can't wear it if I have a headache or if my nose is feeling sensitive, but for a bold shot of femininity and class, this stuff does the trick. On me it lasts a long time, especially long if I spray a bit on my clothes. I love it and will continue to wear it occasionally, but I doubt I will ever repurchase.

The first time I sprayed this on, I recoiled in horror. It's really, really strong, and the spiciness is offensive. Seriously offensive. This same spicy note is in the original, but not this strong. This fragrance is awful, and doesn't get any better after the drydown. The sample I received went into the trash. I cannot inflict this on anyone else.

Its a strong version of the orignial Romance. I guess more for night time because its more intense. I dont see any originality in this though.

I get a lot of compliments shortly after I put on this scent but it doesn't last very long. Ii has a floral, woody smell which I like but for ther price it should last a lot longer than it does. Pretty much after 2-3 hours it is nonexistent.

I have had similar problems with other RL scents.They must not include enough essential oils in their fragarances to give them lasting power. I will not repurchase when this botttle is finnished.

I was curious about this since I had a love/hate with the original. I absolutely loved the original but found it too strong and eventually gave my bottle away. Unfortunately I couldn't detect a difference in Always Yours. It smells exactly like the original, which I love, but it's every bit as overpowering. Another near-miss for me.

I wanted to love this. The original is my favorite perfume, and I ran out to buy this when I smelled it in a magazine. Bought it, got it home wore it a few times...had to return it. Smells like a very strong version of the original one.

This is similar to the original RL Romance, a bit lighter and softer...unfortunately still too sharp and too much rose for me, however. If you hated the original Romance, I highly doubt you'd like this one. If you liked the original but wished it was a bit lighter, this is for you.

I love this stuff. It has a slight floral spicey smell to it. I'm not great at describing fragrances, but I was never a huge fan of the original Romance. Always Yours is different...I love the warm spiciness to it. I do wish it had more staying power, but I don't mind that it doesn't because I can't stand overpowering fragrances either, so this is perfect! I adore the bottle that it comes is as well, it looks so nice on my bathroom counter.

MMM i love it! its soo..mmm yummy!!! it smells sooo good and its like a strong purfume but at the same time not too strong!!! i like the original one but this one is a little more my style...i love classy scents and this seems like a very veryyy classy scent:) yummy...will deff. buy again!

I bought this on a whim because I like the original. My first thought of this is that I thought this was more for a more mature woman. I sprayed this on and the first thing my husband said was that I smelled like his grandmother..not something you wanna hear from your man.lol. I think ill give this to my mother.

RL Romance Always Yours bears a resemblance to the original
Romance in sharing many of the same notes - patchouli, rose, musk,
and others including oakmoss. This must be the new synthetic
oakmoss. I like Always Yours much better than original Romance
which was always a bit sharp and aftershavey on me. Always Yours
is soft and pretty, starts out with more patchouli and dries down to a
soft, feminine, well-blended scent that lasts and has a classic feeling
about it. This floral chypre is a winner for Ralph Lauren.

I love all the Romances, this is amazing and great too. Notes are freesia, ginger, Goddess Rose,LotusFlower,Day Lily, White Violet, musk, patchouli, Oakmoss, I think Ralph Lauren makes a wonderful fragrance, my arm still smells amazing love it,There is always another great fragrance waiting for us. ♥♥

Romance Always Yours is absolutely better than original Romance fragrance. So far, I have only smelled it at store and don't own it yet. But, from that I noticed it is the same smell but sweeter and nicer in my opinion. I can't wait to get my hands on this gem. I really hope this edition is one that lasts forever. =D
Update: I tried this one again while shopping & I still think it is better, though I forgot to mention it is still musky as the original. Though, I believe in a better way. I think that is what gives it that romantic feel. Lovely!
