I used this foundation for a while, mainly because it has high coverage but can still give you a dewy finish.

I usually hate the packaging on MAC foundations, however this one comes in a plastic tube, which I just find so much better than those glass bottles. It's also a lot thicker and creamier in texture.

However, this foundation just sort of sits on top of my skin, I find it comes off on my fingers, hands, phone etc throughout the day and when I get home I literally can't wait to take it off. It makes my skin look very greasy, and never really blends into skin/face properly.

I would say that this is probably more suited to drier skin.

This was my HG for a while, I wore it day after day without fail.
It has one of my favourite finishes in a foundation ever.
It's a thick prouduct, I prefer a thicker foundation to work with rather then a runnier liquid.
It's a medium but buildable coverage with a very dewy finish.
It was hydrating and looked amazing in pictures.
This is deffo a good selfie foundation if you know what I mean makes you look aibrushed with no flashback.
But I won't repurchase this I'm afraid, it's almost perfect
I get oily throughout the day and the dewy finish on top of my oily t zone made me look greasy. It's also very sticky and doesn't really set without powder. I work in an office, I use the phone a lot and everytime I put my white phone down it was literally orange. If you touch your face you seem to get it everywhere.
I did really like this foundation and would say it would better on a dryer skin I'm more dry then combo , but it didn't really control my oils it also seemed to make my pores look a bit bigger ?

Won't repurchase for myself unfortunately, but I got some good selfies out of it !

I hate this product and don't know why I bought it really .
It broke me out into spots
It gave me rashes
Made my skin red, irritated and itchy
Clung to all my dry patches, flakey skin , and tiny hairs
It emphasised my spots
Didn't set and stayed sticky and moveable
Had a horrible smell
I tried to apply it in about 4 ways and couldnt make it work or look nice

Pros
Good amount of product
Decent packaging
Good if you don't have super sensative , acne prone , dry skin
Good colour match

I have used Mac foundation ever since I started wearing make up at 14, and 7 years later still haven't loved another brand for foundation more than Mac. I started with just the Studio Fix Powder, then started using Studio Fix Liquid and I still really like how both of those look on my skin. A few months ago, I was watching a Favorites video on YouTube and someone mentioned that the Studio Sculpt was better for drier skin type. I've always struggled with dry skin so I decided to try it. I love it. I love the texture and consistency of it. It's so easy to apply and control. It is full coverage but I usually set it with my Studio Fix Powder and it still never looks like I'm wearing too much make up. It's definitely buildable.
No other foundation has left my skin looking this smooth and almost creamy-like. I wouldn't recommend this product for oily skin types though because after long days with this foundation on, my skin tends to look oily.

The sales assistant recommended this for my dry skin and matched me to NC15.

The range of shades is great and should suit most people. However, it oxidates, meaning that you're going to need to try it for a longer time when getting matched. Mine ended up being too dark.

I think this has the potential to be good for normal to relatively dry skin, but not as dry as mine. It ended upp emphasising dry spots on my face. Where my skin was nice underneath it looked great and had a good lasting power, but only looking good where the skin already is rather defeats the purpose of using a foundation.

I ended up getting pimples from this by the end of the tube. As I had used it for over 12 months then, I assume that was because the product went bad. It might be something to be on the lookout for though.

Would I repurchase? No
Would I recommend it. Yes. If you have normal-dryish skin without any flaking areas and find it hard to find your color, this might be worth a try.

My skin was really dry after an acne treatment so they reccomended me this foundation from the M.A.C store. It did a really good job back then. I recommend it only to dry/very dry skin types. Now that my skin is normal it feels quite heavy. It has a medium coverage but its difficult to built it up because it feels too sticky and heavy. It doesnt blend easily, it leaves your skin dewy and stays for about 8 hours.

The texture is like a gel and when applying it to your face it feels cool and refreshing, the coverage is medium (but buildable) cos it didn't completely cover up my acne scars so I always had to use concealer on top. I always moisturised first so this foundation would blend out and sit better. The finish is dewy and doesn't set, it made me look oily especially in summer so I would powder to lock it in. I've applied it without moisturising it and it was hard to blend and made me look dry. In the end this foundation always made my skin look smooth, plump and dewy. The disappointing thing is that after 5 months of owning this foundation it completely separated so I had to throw it out.

This foundation is so amazing for my dry skin. I had previously bought the MAC Mineralize liquid foundation, hoping it would be medium-full coverage for my redness (like the salesgirl told me it would be) but it was quite thin. So once I ran out of that, I returned to the MAC store after something for dry skin with medium coverage and Studio Sculpt was recommended to me. Out of all the foundations I have tried (drug store and otherwise) this one is the best. It's got enough coverage when I use my beauty blender that I don't need to apply concealer over problem areas, and it doesn't flake over my dry areas.

A lot of reviews have commented on how it transfers/ doesn't dry and mine definitely does. But I was told by the girl at MAC that you need to use a primer AND set the foundation with a powder to stop that from happening. Would definitely repurchase this (despite the hefty price tag!)

This foundation broke me out and never dries. I gave it 1 star for being super hydrating on my dry skin, doesnt cling onto my dry patches; another star for the 40ml portable packanging

I bought this product a few months ago because my boyfriend bought me a MAC voucher and before this point I had never use a MAC product before. I am currently a university student so do not have a lot of money to be spending on makeup however I would definitely buy this foundation again as it is by far the best I have ever used despite being quite pricey!
My skin is quite normal, perhaps slightly more on the oily side of the spectrum and I have never had any particular troubles with my skin. I have extremely veiny eyelids and I find that the tops of my cheeks are normally very red and blotchy.

I use this product every single day and find that when I have a 9am lecture and plan to go out for dinner or drinks in the evening that all I have to do is make touch ups to have flawless coverage.
I will be honest and say that it is a very oily product so I don't think I would recommend it for someone that has extremely oily skin, however for someone with combination/oily/dry skin it is perfect once you have applied a small amount of powder onto particularly shiny areas such as the forehead.
I would also say that although the product is quite pricey (especially for a student), it lasts and lasts and lasts! I bought mine in August and I still have around a quarter of the tube left even though I apply it a minimum of once a day and I am a big fan of high coverage.

I do think its a shame that so many people have had such bad experiences with the foundation but I do also think it is an absolute miracle product if you know how to use it. I tend to contour and conceal my face before I apply it and when I put it on I use a Stippling brush (i find a foundation brush or a sponge makes it appear cakey) and move in a circular motion all over my face. I find that I need about a pea and half sized dollop of it and that provides more than enough to cover my entire face as well as touching up particular problem areas.

I cannot praise this product enough but of course it works differently for different people. I went into the store asking for the highest coverage foundation they had to offer and they gave me this! I could apply this foundation with no concealer at all underneath or on top of it (I use orange, green, purple and yellow concealers to neutralize different tones in my skin) and even if I had several large spots it would cover it completely!!!!!!!!
The only negative comments I have on the product are the fact that it does make your face quite shiny and you definitely need to apply powder over the top which some people may find inconvenient which is why I wouldn't recommend it to someone that enjoys doing their makeup in 5 minutes quickly before going to work/ taking the kids to school etc. However for someone that enjoys doing their makeup and having a 'flawless' face I would definitely recommend this!
