I have ordered several brushes from CS. This unfortunately is my least favorite. I find that it's too soft and not dense enough to use for contouring (which is why i bought this in the first place). The hairs aren't super soft but they're not at all scratchy. I wouldn't rebuy this one.

This is kinda coarse, I wasn't expecting that.
It doesn't shed.It doesn't bleed.No smell when I got it.
But it feels rather harsh on my cheeks, and I don't have a sensitive skin.

I have had this brush for several years now and it is still my very favorite! I use it for my all over powder finish. I have washed it, I can't count the times and it always comes out very soft & clean. I probably should buy a backup, but this one is really still like brand new. A great brush IMO.

Okay, after using this brush for more than a year, I believe I have to replace it. After so many washes, the stinky scent is gone long ago but... the brush bristles start to get scratchy! It is okay right after the wash but after 5-6 uses, the bristles start to get scratchy! :( I dont know it's my brush or so with the others' brushes - I just clean the brushes with baby shampoo as always. I am a bit disappointed but considering the low price, I shouldn't complain. However, I now will more likely purchase a MAC 168 or other h/e brushes to save the fuss replacing the brush after a year or so - at least I have never heard problems like this for h/e ones. It's a shame that we don't have good quality cheap alternatives!

Well, since this worked good initally on me, I'm going to leave this 3-lippie, otherwise I guess 2-lippie worthy only.

Original review reviewed in 2009 or sth...
I don't own the MAC 168 to compare, but for sure this is a great blush for applying blush for a soft finish and contouring your cheeks at the same time. The brush size is jsut perfect for my apples. The brush itself is rather soft though not so soft to the point that making picking up blusher from the pan difficult. It is pretty fluffy too. It simply makes blush application easy without leaving harsh lines on your face at all. The only gripe I have is the smell. It really stinks when it first arrives. Luckily it doesn't shed or bleed. I actually washed it like mad for the first two times, using numberous baby shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, normal shampoo, facial cleanser and brush cleanser. After the third washing, the scent is almost gone and less offensive. Will I repurchase? I think I will, for the cheap price (and note that I have to use international shipping) and quaility. It will be even better without the stupid stinky scent.

This a great brush. I use it for blush contouring blending out cream blushes. It is super soft, dense. It does not shed either.
Looks really classy too with the wooden handle.

This is a really good blush brush. This brush is really soft, densely packed and oh so cute! I use this brush to apply and buff in my cream blushes - which I use as bases for La Femme Pressed Powder Blushes - and it works wonders for this task for it makes the application of cream blushes effortless and flawless. I also love using this brush to apply a highlighter to my cheekbones for it grabs just the right amount of product and buffs into my skin to a glowy finish.

This is another great Crown Brush that is sold by Coastal Scents, however, I would suggest you buy it from Crown Brush's website (www.crownbrush.biz) because it's less expensive and you can check out the rest of Crown Brush's large inventory of makeup brushes.

Great brush! holds its shape really well after washing, soft, doesn't shed, but it stinks! But this something I can overlook for the perfectly contoured cheeks that I am able to achieve with this perfectly sized brush.

This is my favorite blush brush. I reach for this every day. I use it to apply both pressed and mineral blushes and it's just dense enough to work with both kinds. Easy to blend with too. Staple in my brush collection.

I do like this brush and use it daily for applying blush and bronzer. I love the size and it's absolutely beautiful to look at! My only problem is that it's a little scratchy to me. Not horrible but not silky, either. I have this problem with the Chisel Powder Brush, too, but all other IB products are wonderful and soft! So these two were a bit disappointing.

As I said, I use it every day. I do like the size and so I keep using it. But I will keep looking and will not repurchase. (Unless maybe they have a spectacular sale and I decide to give it another chance - I cannot help but think maybe I got these two and they'd been handled roughly when packaged or something - all of my other Italian Badger Coastal Scents brushes are so soft!)

This brush is my HG blush brush! i absolutely adore this brush for blush, bronzer, contouring. i only use it for blush, though, and im thinking about getting another for bronzer. its incredibly well made from the hair to the handle! it smelled like chemicals when i first got it but i kind of like chemical smells and it didnt bother me. i used it once before washing it, and i smelled it before i washed it and the smell had already gone away, imagine that. this brush is soooo soft too. i dont think anything will happen to this where id have to buy it again because its well made and i take care of my brushes, but if anything were to happen to this id definitely repurchase.

Love, love, love this brush! This brush is soft and is perfect for contouring and blending. It also doesn't shed and it doesn't lose it shape after washing it over and over again. The best part is that it is so inexpensive and you really get a quality brush! I am so glad I convinced myself to buy this brush...it has been worth every penny!

There wasn't a single bad (or even not-so-good) review for this and so i bought it , as well as for other reasons: cheap !
However, just can't get over the smell, it is so bad ... I tried Enkore's deodorizing method 2 times already, with my own modified portions of vinegar and soda...but it still stinks like hell... With that said it also sheds a lot... other than that, I haven't had this brush for long yet, but i will update in a little while to see if anything improves.
UPDATE: ok, so i think i mostly got the smell out, or at least it doesn't bother me once the brush is dry after i wash it, even though i think i should deodorize it a couple more times in the near future. I'm adding one lippie because the brush is fairly good, but it really took a lot mixing and waiting and washing, so that's too much extra work just to get rid of the horrible smell, and i just find that i don't really use it that much afterall...

I really like this brush for contouring and even for blush. It works great! It does everything that an angled face brush is suppose to do! The only thing is that it is kinda scratchy for me and so I hate blending w/ this brush. It's not so bad with up-down motions but circular motions isn't great. I do like it and find that it picks up so color and distribute a good deal of color on my face.

This is a GREAT brush for the money! I use it for contouring. I had purchased one from Sephora (MUFE) and it was FIVE TIMES THE PRICE - but the angled head was a little too large for any real contouring (nose, smaller areas, etc.) and after one use the head on one side fell off (NOT OK @ THAT PRICE). So I ordered this one when I ordered the MUFE-like Silica Powder and have not been dissapointed with either. I DO, however, love the MUFE Contouring Powder Kit that I use this brush with - they are a perfect combination!

My favorite blush brush ever. It picks up and deposits just the right amount of color in one sweep. Nice and soft, but not too soft. Very sturdy, washes well, doesn't shed. Unbelievably inexpensive, but don't let the price fool you... this is a TOP quality brush. As good, if not better than my coveted Shu U.

Oh, and they just shave the badgers, to answer the first reviewers Q, lol.
