Quite like this one for shadow on the lid. Hangs on well to powder shadow, gets it where I want to go in a nice opaque layer. Soft. Has held up for over a year with periodic deep cleanings (cone-free shampoo and conditioner) and regular wiping off with baby wipes.
If I had more expensive brushes I would feel like I had to baby them, which I don;t mind fo a powder or blush brush but is less convenient when I have 3 or 4 shadow brushes sticking out of a jar to grab in a hurry. So, I have contemplated replacing these with something (maybe) higher quality, but I decided against it.

I have three of these because I use this brush so often. . .
Great for really getting a good wash of shadow on your lid and the bristles are super soft and don't shed. Not as ideal for blending, although with repeated use the brush bristles get more flexible. Perfect shadow application every time with this one, and it really saves me some time in the morning.
Great price and nice sleek look, coupled with the effectiveness makes this a win for me. Highly recommended.

I really like this brush! It's amazing for packing color on the lid, not the best for blending though. I use it every day for about two months now and it does its work perfectly and doesn't shed at all.
This is one of the E.L.F brushes I really recommend!

This is a great shading brush for applying shadow as a contour colour. It picks up the shadow very well so I tap any excess before applying.
I've used it a couple of times so I can't tell how well it will hold up but so far, no shedding. The hair is very soft and not scratchy.
E.L.F. has great brushes at bargain prices. This is one worth getting.

This is my favorite out of my 5 ELF brushes! I like to use it to apply eyeshadow and also blend it. It definitely did a better job than ELF's Blending Brush. The Eyeshadow "C" Brush applies eyeshadow perfectly, no shedding, comfortable on the eyes. You're going to fall in love with this!

I've had this brush for about a month now. I like this a lot. It's perfect for applying shadow on the lid. I also use it for blending although I don't think its ideal. I also sometimes use it to blend my concealer. It's not shedding at all despite it being so cheap. I got it at one of their 50% off sales for only 1.50. It being synthetic, it picks up powders really well. I don't use for liquid stuff though.

Not a fan. I prefer my eye shadow brushes from MAC by far. This one seems cheaply made (duh) but also does not give me an even wash of color. A toss.

Another A+ from E.L.F! Its crazy to to think that these brushes are only $3. It's such a steal, almost seems wrong that they are so cheap :) Anything this brush in particular is amazing. So amazing that I ran about and bought a back up. For me and the shape of my eyes, it is best for all over wahses of color on the lid, or highlighting the brow bone. To do more precise placemnt of colors on the eyelid this brush is too big for me. I have used both high end and low end brushes. In all honesty, E.L.F. studio line of brushes; this one included is on par with the higher end brushes that I have used.

I mostly use this to set my under eye concealer with powder. A few times I have used it to buff/feather out harsh lines of eyeshadow. I guess I just have so many eye brushes, I dont really need this for shadow. The only complaint I have with this is when I wash it, no matter how little soap I use or how well I rinse it, soap like never wants to leave this brush.

I'm with the last reviewer who stated that she bought multiples of this brush; I just bought my second one so I can use them over and over. It's soft as a feather and the bristles are packed densely but not too tightly, allowing it to pick up just the right amount of shadow. There are some shadows that just give you fallout no matter what, but this has definitely given me more control over those glittery ones. I love this brush so much I just can't stand that people are paying so much for brushes when this one's $3.00!

I’m starting to think that you really shouldn’t pay more than $3 for a makeup brush. This brush is freaking wonderful guys. Small but not too small, dense but not rough, soft on the eyes and picks up the perfect amount of product.
It doesn’t even look cheap and weird with bright colors or patterns. It’s simple and sleek.
It’s so cheap that I plan to buy at least 2-3 more so I can always make sure I have a clean one to use. There’s really nothing more to say about this fantastic product so go pick one up. I’d be surprised if you don’t like it :>

I say it again... ELF brushes are as good as any MUFE brushes, and cheaper too! It gets the shadow in my crease, highlights, adds pops of colour to the corners of my eyes, and is great for putting powder under the eyes, either to cover circles or to soften harsh liner, and feels great t first touch!

I had this brush for a long time, and hardly ever used it, because I found it too dense to apply powder shadows. Recently I've been getting into cream shadows, and this brush is PERFECT for applying them! It picks up the perfect amount of shadow. You can use one side to place the shadow on your lid, then flip the brush over to blend the edges. Voila, perfectly applied cream shadow! Love this brush now!

Considering I am a broke college student, I didn't want to drop too much money on a brush and not have it work. I was pleasantly surprised! The brush picks up a good amount of pigment and I have noticed minimal to no shedding. Overall it is a great value for its price. I should be getting my second one in the mail soon so I don't have to wash brushes so often.
Disclaimer: I have not used any high end brushes, so I haven't been spoiled :P

Ugh, this is a no for me. Wanted to love it though. One of the first brushes I picked up when starting out. I apply ES wet and everytime I use this brush it gets too wet and the fibers clump together. Idk what it is but every time I use it, it ends up where my base ends up showing through the shadow and the end result looks all spotty, not cute at all. Maybe just not meant to be used wet...???. Great price though, will not repurchase.

Fantastic brush!! It picks up and applies the product extremely well. It is so soft... It can honestly be compared to MAC brushes which is incredible for the price it costs.
The actual brush looks really professional and the size is perfect.
Love it! A must have

I am in love with this brush, as with most of the Elf Studio brush.. now my review may be biased considering i am poor & on a tight budget so i only use affordable/cheap brushes but really i dont feel like i need to spend a fortune bc my brushes work & this one is a MUST HAVE!
~~PRICE/AVAILABILITY~~
The Elf Studio single brushes or sets can be found on the eyeslipsface website as well as some Target, Kmart, Sears Grand stores. The availability will vary depending on your location. The price is amazing on the brushes, each brush is only $3 or even less if you wait to get a good sale on the elf site or use retailmenot website for coupon codes. Either way, these brushes are well worth the $3 price tag. They are def better quality then the Elf $1 brushes.
~~PERFORMANCE/USES~~
The Elf Studio line Eyeshadow C Brush according to the Elf site: "This anti bacterial, synthetic haired Taklon brush is softer and more absorbent and can be used with wet or dry products. Be a professional makeup artist and create a flawless look with this e.l.f. Studio brush!
Creates the perfect smokey eye
The medium size brush gives more control for more specific blending needs
Use with any powder eyeshadow product for color blending."
This brush is your standard shader but a bit more dense & fuller. This brush can be used for so many things so id suggests picking up two since i use it daily & like to wash & alternate. This brush can apply, pack and blend out shadows amazing! It resembles the $1 eyeshadow brush thats amazing but this one is more fuller & a tad less flexible. The sturdiness allows packing & good blending. If you use the very tip, you can def smoke out any shadow. or use the base side, it will pack on shadows while blending out the edges! its truly an amazing brush. I didnt know if it was worth it since i love the $1 brush but they serve different purposes. This brush is well worth it & its synthetic so it also can place & blend out cream or liquid products with ease.
~~PACKAGING/UPKEEP~~
The Elf Studio brushes are very simple but sleek and pretty. They def look better than the $1 brushes. But id rather a brush perform better than look better. But all the Elf Studio brushes are a matte black handle & ferrule as well as black synthetic bristles. The Elf logo as well as brush name is located on the handle in white stamping/paint. It makes it nice to see which brush is which. (if you dont want the letters to fade over time, applying a thin layer of a clear nail polish over it will help store it longer but its up to you) The bristles on all of these brushes are synthetic but nice & soft. Very soft & perform very well. This makes it nice since you can use wet or dry products on brush w/out fears of ruining them. I have not had a single bristle shed on any of my brushes thus far & ive owned these all for at least 2 years with at least once a month deep cleaning plus daily cleansing. The ferrule has came loose on one of my brushes but nothing super glue wouldnt fix. Its fine with me. It was probably from washing when it become loose. These wash very easily as well as dry time is not super long as say natural hair brushes would be. I like that i can wash them today & by tomorrow i can use them. The bristles have not changed since washing my brushes & have remained intact & shaped since day one. I think its amazing that a $3 brush has had help up better than one that i spent at least 3x as much for.
Overall, the Eyeshadow C brush is an amazing brush & id highly suggests to everyone. I have two of these & plan on picking up one more for cream shadows. They apply and blend eyeshadows with ease & have made looks so easy and look professional- when im far from it! Theyre a valuable brush and def would repurchase over & over if i had to!

This brush is spectacular! It packs on an extreme amount of product, but not too much that you get fallout or too much on your lid. You could cover your entire lid with one or two sweeps with this brush. It's the perfect size and shape for covering entirely underneath your crease; it's just the perfect brush. I love that it's dirt cheap (only 3!), the design is sleek and visually-satisfying (the handle is a pretty matte black), the bristles are densely packed, the bristles are soft but not flimsy by any means (literally perfect), and that it picks up a great amount of product. I'm going to go buy two more just because I truly think this is a staple brush for any makeup artist. Go buy one (or five) now!
