Holy Moly! I underated this product i was in my local CCO and came across this, lets just say i basically bought it for the packaging! Guilty! But i was looking through my stash for an alternative to my every day Barry M 100 and MAC lipglass in Naked Frost and came across this. Smells beautiful (as all mac lip stuff does!) and the colour is a beautiful coral pink wash, ADORE this! Going to be gutted when it runs out! :(

Splendid is a light pinky color color. Its not too intense, and can be pulled off as a nude with a bit of a punch. The gloss is smooth, and the color is buildable. Love how MACs glosses smell.
Love the packaging, so cute!

Pretty color! Great coverage! And a nice alternative to a nude lip! Love the smell of Mac's glosses! I highly recommend trying this shade out of all the Mac Edna's collection as it is the most wearable in my opinion.

This is so gorgeous on me, even though I am tan. I wore this in the winter, I thought was an "ok" color. But now it's spring, I wore it recently and realized how more beautiful it is in the spring light. It's med. pigmented on my very pigmented lips. I love this color<3

This is a nice colour, very opaque corally pink. However I'm not a fan of the frosty lip look (You know, all shimmery and what not) and this does seem to do that. I like the colour, it's just I don't see myself wearing it often.

Very unique shade. A bright, slightly orange tinted coral.
Have used with both a lip primer [Guerlain Kiss Kiss Lip Lift, for anyone who cares/is interested], and with just balm [Carmex] last night.
I found with primer it went on as a bright, almost neon orange-coral shade. On my naturally pigmented deep peach with coral overtones. That said, it isn't a shade I'd pair with out-there, dramatic eye looks [unless you have a ton of guts.], but it's definately a nice, wearable shade when I'm looking to make my mouth/lips/smile the focus. [N3 skin, warm undertones.]
Shine seemed about average. It isn't as glossy as Possum Nose Pink, the other l/g I've used from the Dame Edna line. No opinion on Hot Frost. That said, the staying power was better with Splendid than with PNP. The packaging [cheap stickers?] is terrible.

This was the only item that I purchased from the Dame Edna collection. As other reviewers have mentioned, the sticker with glitter sunglasses doesn't last and will probably fall off with regular use/handling of this lipgloss.
As for the color, it is a peachy-coral color with pearl and shimmer. When I first tried it on, it actually reminded me a bit of a lipglass that I used to have, Tartlette. The only thing is, it is lighter than Tartlette and probably more flattering to us pale gals.
The texture is sticky/tacky like other lipglasses, and has a slightly thick consistency, which also helps it be long-lasting on the lips.
I think the color is quite versatile and would work well with a nude, glowy face or with smokier eyes. Overall, if I used it up, and it weren't LE, I'd probably repurchase.

I am completely in love with this lipgloss! When I looked at the Dame Edna collection, my first impulse was to buy Hot Frost lipgloss, as the sparkly pink lip color looked a little more suited to my coloring (NW20) and preferences. However, I took a closer look at Splendid and decided that I didn't have anything like it, and decided to buy it.
Splendid is a lovely peachy-coral. It's not sheer and it is quite bright, but it's not over-the-top bright. It has a bit of frost, sure, but I think it works well with the overall look of the gloss. Splendid really brightens up my face so well and it's very interesting to look at-I tend to buy the same kind of pinky or peachy nudes, but Splendid is a lot different. It will definitely be great for summer.
The only thing I'm not exactly thrilled about is the packaging. I love the bright lavender cap, but the sparkly glasses on it are just a sticker, and the sticker was coming off as soon as I pulled the tube out of the box. I'm tempted to just pull it off myself, because it will be very ugly-looking when half the sticker is there and the other half is gone. It's not a matter of will the sticker come off, it's more of a matter of when it will come off. And I hate that.

This is a great gloss! The only think from Dame Edna that I ordered. It's a nice peach color, more on the coral side of peach rather than pink. It's very pigmented for a lipglass! It goes on almost like a lipstick. The only thing I don't like is the sticker, which I'll probably be taking off very soon if it doesn't fall off on it's own. This gloss is worth getting for sure!

I like this coral gloss. It's a lot darker than the other coral gloss that I have Chanel Coral Reef. It definitely doesn't have as much glitter in it as the other glosses in this collection, and it's definitely more pigmented. It's more pearly shiny, not glittery shiny. It's a pretty unique color, but I'd rather stick with my Coral Reef. Probably won't buy this one again.

When I saw that a coral l/g would come out w/ Dame Edna I knew I had to go check it out. As it turns out, this is the stand out of the collection in my opinion. I also purchased Spectacle highlight powder which I'm returning and the pink l/g which I like but not as much as this one. Splendid is the perfect coral! It's a tiny bit frosty but more shimmery I think. It's really gorgeous. I almost want to get a backup. It kind of reminds me of the popular Lollipop Lovin' l/s but without the greenish sheen. I love the packaging except for the glasses sticker. The l/g has been in my purse for one day and already the sticker is coming off. Other than that Splendid is a winner in my book.
