Love this shampoo (& conditioner)!
• Price:
Very reasonable (I got it on sale but the regular price wasn't too bad either.)
• Packaging:
Not bad, not great. I do like that I can very clearly see how much product is left because of the clear bottle.
• Product:
Note: My hair is coarse, dense, tightly coily (4a/mini-corkscrew curls), high elasticity, and **loooow porosity**
The fact my hair is low-po (resists absorbing/releasing water) makes a *lot* of typical curly "wisdom" not apply to me (e.g. co-washing isn't so hot for me & acidic products in particular = bad news). Shampoos are a-okay for me as I need to avoid build-up (as long as the ingredient list isn't just a bunch of sulfates and practically no moisture)!
This shampoo seems to have an excellent blend of the right polymers/silicones (copolymer; polyquaternium) and natural moisturizers/softeners (shea butter; hydrolyzed algae extract) for me at least. The sulfates & citric acid appear to be very gentle, as scrubbing my scalp with this product and rinsing it through my hair simply leaves my hair feeling clean, healthy, and *moisturized* (!!!) in its "natural" state. It primes my hair really well for any conditioner really, though I haven't yet found one better than its partner.
YMMV people (know your hair type!!!) but I will hazard the suggestion that the ingredient list looks great for *most* of us. Other reviews seem to bear this out. ^_^

I was probably too busy looking at the swirls on this shampoo because I didn't read that it has sodium lauryl sulfate, I can stand laureth but lauryl is really bad for my hair and it also has als, so, I washed and the roots were quite squeaky clean and dry, my hair has a lot of shine right now due to all those power cleaning sulfates but other than that feels pretty dry, used the argan mask afterwards and had a lot of tangles even with it.

I love this shampoo! I have very thick hair that is cut in layers, and therefore it's REALLY poofy and frizzy. I've been flat ironing it at least four times a week, and I was starting to worry that this was damaging my hair. I was browsing the isles at Wal-Mart one day, and decided to give this a try. I'm glad I did! It's thick, and I feel like it really conditions my hair. I use Herbal Essence's "Hello Hydration" conditioner after using this, and I love how soft my hair feels afterwards.
Definitely recommended!

Cleans my hair well without feeling dry or still dirty. I also use the matching conditioner which doesn't weigh my fine hair down. Together they provided needed moisture and leave my hair smooth, soft, and shiny. Also, they smell amazing!

I like this. My relaxed hair needs lots of moisture. This cleans it and doesnt strip it of moisture. It also smells really good.

This product does nothing special for my hair. The shampoo cleans, the conditioner gets rid of tangles, but it definitely does not live up to the name of "Hydralicious." I'll finish using what I have, but won't repurchase.

OMG! this is seriously the bbeesssttt shamppo i have ever bought!! i know your're supposed to use the conditioner with it, but i use Aussie moist conditioner instead, because i prefer that one even though i haven't used the hyrdalicious conditioner. ANYWAYS, i loovee this product because it leaves my hair with so much volume and nooo frizz at all. i don't use heat on my hair at all, (maybe once a month) but i still use this pro. ) it gives me smooth, silky, voluminous hair that i don;t regret att all!! even if it is a little thick, and i do recommend adding water to it before applying this to your hair, i still would definitively buy this prooduct like there is noo tommrow!! I LOvEE iT!! :)

This shampoo is AMAZING!! I bought this shampoo thinking it wouldn't do anything special, but It really changed how my hair feels, and looks! My hair is so silky smooth, for such a low price! I have tried a $30 shampoo that still wasn't as good as this Herbal Essences shampoo! I'm almost done with my first bottle, and I am NEVER going back!

It's very thick so you have to mix it with water or otherwise it's just going to stick to your head. It works just like any other shampoo but it left my hair reasonably soft in the shower. After drying my hair and brushing it, my hair looks good and has less frizz. I can't go wrong with Herbal Essence shampoos and conditioners; they just work really well on my hair. The smell is mild--I don't even remember the scent.

So far, so good! I haven't been using this duo for very long, but for the time that I have been using them, they have made my hair very soft and manageable. I have extremely course and thick hair that's curly, with a lot of frizz and no natural softness/shine. I typically look for a shampoo and conditioner that will add softness to my hair, while removing frizz and providing manageable, all while not weighing it down. Those are pretty heavy claims for a shampoo and conditioner, so as you can imagine I don't usually have the best of luck finding good ones. So far, this duo has really done a good job of taking away my hair's fuzziness, and has made it really soft. I am able to run my fingers through my hair and it will actually move, my hair's texture doesn't usually allow that. Not to mention this stuff smells fantastic, it's a very fruity scent with hints of vanilla and berry. Not only that, but the packaging is very cute and colorful, not something to get bored of easily. I only took one lippie off because I haven't been using it for more than a few days, therefore I can't tell how it'll affect my hair in the long run, but overall I've really been liking this stuff!
*I wouldn't recommend this stuff for thin/fine hair. The consistency is extremely thick, both the shampoo and conditioner, so this may weigh fine hair down.

This shampoo is currently my favorite shampoo. I have dry-ish hair that tends to get oily if I use a moisturizing shampoo too often, but super dry and frizzy otherwise. This shampoo makes my hair feel clean as well as soft. I like it a lot. There are only a few downsides for me: 1) the shampoo is so thick, i accidentally use too much, and so I go through the bottle very quickly, 2) it also can leave residue in the bathtub because it is so thick, 3) some of my hair falls out when i use it (but that's totally ok, because my hair is crazy thick) and 4) OK. I HATE THE SMELL. It just smells fake to me. Like some odd kind of Jello. The smell is terribly strong in the shower...thank God it fades away after awhile. Altogether, though, this is a really good shampoo and I will repurchase.

This shampoo is super thick, which I LOVE. I'm a big fan of thick shampoos and conditioners. This shampoo never seems to dry out my hair and the smell isn't bad, it's kind of a berry smell to me. I have really thick, curly hair that I shampoo daily. This always leaves it feeling soft and shiny without weighing it down. I'm not such a fan of the packaging, I wish that it was like all the other Herbal Essences shampoos. The product kinda builds up around the cap. Other than that, for about $2.50 it's a great shampoo.

This has got to be the thickest shampoo I've ever used. It's so thick I actually have to put a glob in my hand and mix it with water before putting it in my hair. If I don't do that, it clumps up and sticks like glue even with excessive washing.
It still works more or less. Not my favourite shampoo at all (least favourite out of the hydralicious series)

It's okay I guess. Makes your hair smooth and shiny and helps with protecting against damage, but it feels a little TOO rich sometimes. Not very lightweight to me. Smells nice. The packaging is terrible. The lid causes the shampoo to build up and turn into a sort of silly putty around the opening.

I've only used this once, and I'm already disappointed. I made the mistake of not checking reviews before purchasing, but Target had a set of the shampoo and conditioner for $5 and I had a $1 coupon, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I liked Long Term Relationship, but this is horrible. The shampoo is really, really thick, almost thicker than the conditioner. It lathers well, rinses easily, but even while my hair was still wet it felt weighed down but dried out. With most shampoos and conditioners, I can easily run a brush through my hair while it's still wet, but after using this my hair was snagging and pulling. Trying to blow dry it was difficult because my hair kept getting tangled while trying to run a brush through it, and when I was done, my hair looked and felt terrible. My ends looked and felt dry, and my hair wasn't nearly as smooth and soft as it usually is. I definitely won't be repurchasing HE again.

Having bought this item when it was on sale @ Rite Aid for $2.50, I was pleasantly surprised by its effectiveness. This shampoo is very moisturizing, but neither weighs my hair down nor makes it look greasy. The scent is nice, though it can sometimes have a saccharine quality. Packaging could be better . . . Overall, I really like this!

This is actually my first review, but I can say for a fact that I would recommend this to anyone who undergoes damage with their hair. I know a lot of girls, like myself, who straighten their hair either a lot at one point then stop or just all the time. With this shampoo ( and conditioner. ), you can almost feel your hair getting the strength back that it needs and has takena way from it while you're washing.
Me, myself, my hair is natural and it takes a lot for me to get moisture in my hair without using a lot of extreme chemicals. This shampoo and conditioner duo is a really really good one, as are a lot of Herbal Essence products.
I actually bought it in Ulta, because I saw it on the shelves and it was a two for five dollars deal, which I obviously could not pass up for a second.
All in All, I've got to say that these products work great for dry, even brittle hair to help bring life back into it.

I will repurchase..not sure that I will go back to my old shampoo after trying this....it works perfect along with the same type of conditioner!

It was okay, did what it was supposed to, and left my hair soft and shiny. Overall, it was pretty average. I would consider buying it again, but it's not the best shampoo I've ever used.
