A very flattering shade, a good mix of coral and pink, which nevertheless looks quite natural. It also feels nice on the lips.

A very nice and wearable red, good for everyday wear at the office, mall, or outdoors. It gives a nice, healthy color to plain lips, without being too loud or too understated. Just right for me, an NC20, with slightly pigmented lips. It goes on smoothly, lasts long with minimal retouch. I will buy again, this is my go to when I want red for regular days.

I'm medium olive toned (about NC35 in MAtC). I bought this lipstick after seeing it look beautiful on many people of my or similar skintone. In the tube it looks like the perfect blend of coral and pink like a mlbb color for pigmented lips. When i got home and out it on though, it just looked hot pink. I was very disappointed with the color. After trying to take it off, I realized that although the color didn't work for me the staying powder was pretty awesome! The lipstick itself is also very pigmented!

LOVE this!!!! On me, it's a beautiful strawberry medium pinkish red. It's a little bit bright. It is easy to overlook amongst all the other pinks, but this one is a gem. I am NC15/NW20 with light blonde hair but I'll bet this would look even better on someone with similar coloring and red hair! Gorgeous!!

I have very pigmented lips (a MAC MA said that there is a lot of blue in my lips, but I think it is more like deep rose with hint of purple), and my skintone is now NC30. This lipstick showed up as a bright watermelon rose pink on me. I find it quite hard to pull off this color, so I only wear this when I got more or less a neutral look going, this lipstick gives that pop of color to my face. I do like the formula but it is not quite long lasting as the Amplied/Satin/Matte formulas from MAC. I also use this as a top coat when I wear Ruby Woo (another MAC lippie) to give my lips more moisture and glam up the look a bit more. If I ever finish this, I don't think I would rebuy it since this is not really a color I reach out for often.

This color looks watermelon-rose-pink on my lips but maybe because the tone of my lips. I tend to only wear this color in the summer because it's brighter and looks great with a tan, I apply chapstick or lipbalm before applying since I find it somewhat drying. Overall a nice color and would repurchase.

Okay, so this is my first "red" lipstick. and I have to say that I LOVE it =)
I never give Mac lippies full marks because the logo scratches off and it's the most annoying thing ¬¬
But the lipstick itself is amazing!
I've been wearing this for over 6 hours now and that only includes a tiny touch up (just the inner lip, I ate my tea and had coffee)
You can eat with this on, you can drink, it's amazing!!
The colour is a very gorgeous red that it super pigmented yet manages to remain a super wearble colour!!
It matches any look and any skintone amazingly, it's a raspberry-ish lipstick!!
The part I had to touch up faded into a pinkish red that was also a GORGEOUS colour, meaning that if I was to apply this lightly, I would get a gorgeous deep berry pink colour =)
This lipstick is MAJORLY underrated!!
It's like a more pigmented Viva Glam Cyndi!!!
Cremesheens are super moisturizing and pigmented and last for a long time on the lips.
This lipstick does not bleed and applies evenly and smooth.
I really love this and I would for sure get this again!
LOVELY <3

This is my first MAC lipstick and it's also my first warm red.
It is reasonably priced, the packaging looks good and the colour is lovely. But... I am not very fond of the formula. The Chanel RA I finished just before I bought this one might have spoiled me but I do think that there are cheaper drugstore lipsticks that have better formulas (Maybelline or Bourjois have nice lipsticks). My main issue is that it feels sticky (maybe they use some waxes inside?). I have never experienced this with lipsticks and it is the main reason I don't buy glosses. It is also a but drying so I have to use a lipbalm which also fights the stickiness. Might not be a problem for some but I was expecting something else from a "cremesheen" just because it has creme in the name of the formula
Overall, I think that this is a lipstick for the summer because it does look better with tanned skin and my lips are not that dry. I will not repurchase and I hope our relationship warms as the weather does :)
Edit: It's warmer outside, it feels less sticky and I appreciate the staying power and the colour but I still need to apply lip balm. Still not going to repurchase.

1) If you've seen the discontinued 'Gailey' in the MAC slim shines -> I got 'On Hold' to replace that. Its not as peachy as 'Gailey' but pretty close when doing a swatch on your hand. This however has more staying power than the Gailey SlimShine, thank goodness.
2) As you read through the reviews here you will see that the colour described for 'On Hold' is all over the map. Reddish, Pink, Raspberry, Watermelon, Pinky-Peach, Berry, Pinky-Magenta, Dusty Rose. If I were to try to describe it: "watermelon dusty-rose pink". What you should take from this is that this lovely colour will look different on different people, and can be very versatile given the lip liner you choose to pair it with. So you could play up the undertones easily using alternate colours of lip liners: plum, berry, dusty rose, frosty pink. I found Nars Rosebud lip liner brings out the watermelon/peach tones and Sephora Pinup Pink lip liner brings out the pink tones. 'Also note: this is not a matte lipstick. There is a sheen/shine to it.
3) This seems to be a great colour for any skin tone, but I would like to especially mention that I find this is a jewel-pink that girls with a tan (or natural olive look) can wear and look luscious in. I tend to find most pinks on me look like i'm trying to hard, these are the ones with a blue (or cold) undertone. Or other pinks have too much of a brownish (warm) undertone that looks ruddy on me. This pink is more jewel - toned and as such is an asset to tanned and olive skin colours.
4) It will be interesting to see its lasting power. I don't have much faith because its so moisturizing. We'll see and then I'll update my review.
Took of one lippie because I only rate something perfect if it truly is a HG product.

Love the moisturizing creamsheen formula but this product comes off as far too fuschia pink on my lips. Looked like it would suit in the tube but the application was more raspberry than I expected - a pretty color but not on me.
Definitely going to try other colors in the same line. I WILL FIND A WEARABLE RED. I WILL FIND A WEARABLE RED.

Though I don't wear lipstick often, this is one I can handle. It's moisturizing enough to go on my very chapped lips without drying them out. The lasting power is also pretty good and I like the sheen it gives. Definitely my favorite l/s formula though I probably wouldn't buy again since I don't use l/s often and the color is a bit hard for me to pull off.

I just bought this lipstick and am in love with it. I am tanned right now and it looks great. Its not over kill, just gives a pop of color for summer. I think this color is definately for warm toned girls and looks best with a tan.

This lipstick is the EXACT shade of my lips. Forget MLBB, this shade and my natural lip shade are exactly the same. So to be honest, this lipstick doesn't do much for me, except add a little bit of shine thanks to the Cremesheen formulation. However, it is useful to have a lipstick in my collection that I can count on as being a true neutral- not leaning pink, or red, or peach or anything, but will match the color of any outfit or makeup look. This is a lipstick for days when I don't want to LOOK like I'm wearing lipstick, but I still want the girly thrill of putting it on. So it gets full points for practicality and versatility, but minus one lippie for uniqueness.

I got this for free from Mac's recycling program. I got all 3 creamsheen colors at the same time (Modesty, Fanfare, and On Hold), plus satin Captive. I liked On Hold especially when I tried it at the Mac counter. It looked so warm on my complexion. But I use the other 3 colors more than I use this. The color is a warm pink with a bit of red and orange. Kinda hard to describe..I wouldn't consider it light or dark. I just wouldn't use it everyday. I like the color, but I don't love it.

I wear this color when I want something a little brighter and bolder. It's a watermelon tone with a slight amount of red/rose. It's a little bright on it's own so I usually line and fill in my lips with a very nude lipliner and add this to top. It neutralizes the color a little and looks so very pretty. Everytime I wear it, many compliments. I believe it is more for warm toned girls. Gorgeous for Spring and Summer only. Cremesheens are the only MAC lipsticks I use now.

This shade is not particularly my favorite , but its my first Cremesheen Mac lipstick and I love the coverage. I have fairly pigmented lips and everything I wear gets altered. I am a big MAC lipstick fan and I always love their lustre selections but somehow I just don't think they have enough coverage for my lips. I usually have to layer it with a gloss. I don't know I didn't think to try Cremesheen but now that I did, I am loving it! Glaze is also a favorite of mine but I can only pull off wearing Hot Tahiti. I am going to try other shades when I finished this one. I am trying to not buy until I need to buy.

at first i expect more for these l/s, this is my first mac lippies. but i was lil bit dissapointed the feel and the colour on my lip. i hope it will be as creamy as nyx lip smacking. base on it's name. i found it little bit dry on my lips. i use just one swatch , to make it look sheer just the way iwant my lipstick look.
i combine it with my mac lip glass which i loooove so much...so ithink i'm gonna keep it, but definetely buy another lustre lippies...

On me this is a bright rose, not a red, with very subtle gold shimmer. It's a pretty shade for warm-toned PPPs, but it does seem to bleed a little more than the other Cremesheens.

A great reddish pink. On me it looks more red/magentaish than pink, which I like on occasion. It is a classic color and I guess because of that it has a tendency to make me look older which is why this color takes a back seat in my arsenal of lippies and mostly bust it out at family functions

Ever since I began working at this ultra conservative place (makes the IRS look like a disco), AND I developed an allergic reaction around my eyes, I've had to re-think my makeup look. Gone were the days of defined eyes and larger than life lashes with muted, glossy lips. Now, I wear my faux-tortoise shell glasses, powder, blush and lipstick. This means I need more color on my lips. I would like more color on my lips.
On Hold is the perfect amount of color, creaminess and boldness without making me look like a plastic hussy. I am NC30, blue-black hair, black eyes, and practically no lashes. On Hold is more reddish than the swatch online. I can wear it while wearing only powder. It's the perfect hang-over makeup fix.
