I saw these at my grocery store for a $1 and I couldn't resist the colors so I thought I give them a try what the heck they are only a dollar! I actually like them! I think the green and the gold are pretty and wearing them with primer makes them stand out more and definately wears better. I am going to admit they didnt last all day they did fade a little throughout the day but the colors are still really nice and vibrant. I think it's the best dollar purchase I've made in a while. :)

I used to have a lot of these added to my order with E.L.F. for free! I personally don't quad for this eyeshadow quad. I didn't care for the mix of colors in this quad (especially the green ones) at all. I ended up throwing away each freebie they sent me!

I dont use the light green and the dark green. I do use the brownish shade and the light olive shade. They have just the right amount of shimmer and pigmentation. However, I wouldnt buy it again.

The quad as a whole is nothing amazing for me, its pretty average, most of the colors didn't "wow" me. BUT on the top right corner of this quad, there is this cool-toned matte taupe shade that is just so lovely! I LOVE it for daytime. I apply this on my lid, then put a dark matte brown shade in my outer V and tada! Perfect day time smokey eye. I wish ELF would sell that color in a single or something, but I love the color so much I think I will order 10 of those teeny palette's just for that shade.
The greens are OK, not amazing. The gold right underneath the taupe is nice too. But that taupe is just awesome! It's like a matte version of the lid color in the WnW trio called "Silent Treatment".
If you have this palette, definitely try that taupe over a white base (I like the Maybelline 24 hour cream shadow in "too cool")

I got this product free with my e.l.f. Order. I wouldn't have probably bought this product myself as I never use green shadows. What a surprise though...
I have only used the two colors on the left and they are amazing!! They create a suttle smokey eye for day time - I used them with MAC Shroom as a highlighter.
I can't believe that the cost of these eye shadows is under three euro... If they put them in MAC packaging you would be paying 10 times the price.
They are very well pigmented and the catch the light unbelievably well. I found myself catching a sight o my eyes in my car mirror and repeating how amazing the colours are... And for the price...

This is an average product but still one of the better e.l.f. quads. The mint green shade is ok but it doesn't show up well on my NW15 skin, the forest green is nicely pigmented but it looks muddy on me, the two colors on the right are better, the olive green is a bit underpigmented but the brownish one is decent. I got this for free with my e.l.f. order so I am quite happy with it because it contains unusual shades but I wouldn't be too happy if I paid for it. Maybe it ends up looking better on darker skin, on me it looks like a muddy mess.

One of my favourite quads, all four colours are well pigmented and fairly easy to blend.

Ivy - Is an earth toned quad containing a light mint green, a forest green, an olive, and a golden brown. All shades are well pigmented, particularly the olive shade. This quad leans a little warm and is good for creating natural looks with a little color.

Personally, I'm in love with this quad. In fact, I'm in love with all things e.l.f these days. Anyhow, I used this quad to duplicate a look I saw on MUG and it was a perfect dupe to the Tarte shadows that were used in the original look. I used Revlon Colorstay's creme shadow underneath to give the green and goldish/brown shades some pop and WOW....I'm going to do the look again tonight...

AH- another true gem from Elf!! i know either people Love or Hate these quads and personally, I LOVE these and Ivy is gorgeous!!! it has four amazing colors so ill go onto my review:
~~PRICE/AVAILABILITY~~
The Elf Brightening Eye Color quads can be found in all shades on the eyeslipsface website. I have seen various quads available in Target, Kmart and Sears Grand. I wish more drugstores would pick up the Elf Range bc i hate paying for shipping. So the availability will vary depending on your location but price, unbelievable- these are $1!! yes everyone, $1 quad!
~~SHADE/FORMULA/PERFORMANCE~~
The Elf $1 quads are a nice little quad of four corresponding colors. Ivy is a great earthtone green quad with 4 amazing and beautiful shadows. These colors are great for everyone who likes neutrals and those who like some color.
From left to right:
1st shadow- this is a nice sheer lime golden green. There is a tad bit of fine shimmer but shows up mostly matte on the eye. This color is great for transiting browns or greens. also great for the inner corner to lighten up a dark look.
2nd shadow- a dark hunter forest green that is more matte. This shadow is great for adding definition into outer v area or using as a liner. this green is gorgeous & unique.
3rd shadow- yet another unique shadow hard to describe..its a metallic olive bronze. very pretty all over the lid or even in the crease.
4th shadow- lastly, this is a nice gray purple brown taupe shadow. im obsessed w/ taupes esp since they are universally flattering. this is great all over lid, in the crease, to blend.. love it!
The shadows are pressed well- i know w/ any shadow esp cheaper shadows, you will see a little bit of loose excess powder but these shadows are pretty great. They hold par with any drugstore shadows. These are soft enough that they apply & blend well. Ive not had any problems with these. They're pigmented and show up well on the skin. Even without a primer but paired w/ a primer, these will show up great! I do have normal lids so if you have oily lids id def suggests priming. Everyone should have an eye primer whether its a homemade primer or id also suggests pairing these quads w/ the Elf Eyelid Primer thats also $1 and works great! I also wear a base or cream shadow that will give these shadows something to hold and cling to. Shadows work & look differently on everyone so.. with that being said- ive tried these alone, they stay put for at least 5-6 hrs before i saw fading but w/ primer and/or base, these stay put until i use my makeup wipes to get everything off. I love these! i use these all the time even over my more expensive (not highend) shadows...
~~PACKAGING~~
The Brightening Eye Color Quads come in a plastic compact that fits in the palm of my hand. Theyre small & compact, cute & can slip in any bag or pocket. I love that they're small & i can carry a few w/ me if needed. The top lid is see thru that snaps open/shut w/ Elf logo & product name in silver metallic writing. The backing is white with a tiny sticker where shade name is located. Inside there are four triangular pans of shadow. There is a decent amount of each shadow (ive put Butternut on Project X pan & its taking forever to get through any of the shadows) The corners do make it rather difficult for a shader brush to fit into but a brush will fit in the middle but you will have to maneuver your brush to get into the corners. But i dont mind. These are cute, compact and I like them. They could be a little better bc if you are rough w/ these the lid may snap off or crack but i havent had that problem yet & hope i wont.
Overall, Ivy is an amazing quad and the colors are gorgeous and I reach for the quad alot! I LOVE all four shadows and this can be worn alone or paired w/ your other favorite shadows. These quads offers some great greens and browns & a taupe. I will most def repurchase and recommend to anyone looking for affordable, cruelty free makeup!

Not one of the good ELF quads. The 2 brown colors on the right have the most pigment (like all the ELF quads), but they turn muddy and don't show up as well on my dark brown eyes. Butternut is a better color for me and has a dark brown that works as a liner. None of the shades here are dark enough for a liner.Might work better on lighter eyes though.

I consider this quad basically a duo, because I never use the two green shades, but only the two shimmery brownish colors. I bought it after seeing a review, with the guru wearing a makeup done with this palette so I thought I would give it a try.The colors looked beautiful on her!!! I would also love to give it a 2 1/2 vote, because this product works only for half :) I mean, considering the price, even just the two small eyeshadows which are better in quality are still worth, but seriously you cannot rely on the other two. this is so weird! anyway, with a good primer the colors lasts all day and these specific two shades look really good on me, especially for neutral day looks. the packaging is a bit too much on the "toy makeup" kind, but still nice to put in a purse when I travel. I would not repurchase it.

I have never tested e.l.f e/s before and was tempted to purchase their whole set of Beauty Encyclopedia. Granted, the book is only $5 each but before taking the plunge I wanted to see the quality. So, I went out to purchase the e/s quad in Ivy, Luxe and Neutral. I am glad I did a test run because these e/s are truly *worth* just a dollar.
I am reviewing all the quad that I bought since they all have the same quality, irregardless of which quad it is.
To begin, the shadows have a very dusty fallout, a dip of your brush and pigments started flinging left and right. I got so much pigments from all four colors in the quad onto each other the first time trying them out.
You may think the color payoff is good because once the brush touches your skin to deposit the colors, they look super pigmented. But when you blend them further, they all washed each other out. The colors, well, the just magically fade out.
Needless to say, they do not last long as well. FYI, I do use UDPP (Primer) on my lids prior to applying them. Heck, I even have foundation, concealer and powder on my lids on top of that. Still, they just won't show, won't last, won't do a thing.
Very disappointed with the quad e/s. I am not sure if the quality is the same across the line but this is almost enough to assure me to stay away from e.l.f e/s. Which is really uncool because I so wanted to collect their beauty encyclopedia. I might just go ahead and purchase one book and give elf a second chance though. It's not like I am going to break the bank! ^.~

I loved this quad! I mean for $1 its pretty great. They arn't the best shadows in the world by any means but for a friggin $1?! I thought these were all very pigmented except for the light green and I used painterly paint pot from mac as a base and these lasted all day long on me. Good for the price I think especially if you are just starting out with makeup.

This is eh. I purchased this about 7 months ago when I was first getting into makeup and it worked like a charm. It was cheap and it worked OK. I really hated the dark green, it had almost no pigmentation as well as the bronze color. I didn't use the light green often just because I got soooo much fall out from it. However, the dark brown was great! I still use it for the crease or outer corner in a cinch. It lasted the longest while the others tended to just fade away, primer or no primer. I wish I could give this a 2 1/2, haha. I would not spend my money on this again but it was great to start out with.

The irritating thing about this ELF quad (and a few of the other ones I have) is that the quality of the shadow varies WITHIN the quad. On this one, the two on the right are very pigmented and smooth, and I like the colors. The two on the left, on the other hand, are horribly pigmented. I'm irritated that I can't throw half of this product away.

When I first got this product I didn't expect very much from it. This quad is only $1.00US and came with a small sponge applicator and a "mirror". Don't get your hopes up for the mirror. I can't even see my whole eye in that. To start, my skin tone is an olive going towards a medium tan. So, I am a fair shade darker. This quad might work pretty well on fairer skin, but on me it wasn't showing up so well. The color payoff is decent, but I dislike the whole set up of the quad and how much I have to really pack on to make the color show up. Not the most impressive product from E.L.F. I have seen them do so so so much better. I would avoid this quad if possible and try some of their other products instead.

I actually swapped for this quad (not in Ivy, but in the Neutrals one) and it was horrible! It has a terrible chalky texture and it barely lasts at all, before sinking into my skin. Also, the e/s is always flaking off and getting in your eyes, even with my shadow insurance. I will never buy this product.
