DS Coronation really surprised me for its covering power and holographic effect, once on my nails. I don't like, usually, light-shaded polish, but this one is surely an ecception, because of its very clean and classy looking, also on my skin tone. The lasting is also remarkable, even improved (and so shiness!) by using a good top coat.
I thought it was useful for layering on a plain color, but it is amazing also by itself, because the diamond micro-shimmers suspended in its clear base are very dense and so it makes possible reachieng a full opacity only with 2 coats. I even suggest to use, as base, OPI Ridge Filler, because the nude-milky layer it forms, once dried, (faster than you think!) is a perfect base to enhance the silver, holographic, color that you expect from the first glance to the bottle of this polish.
I'd surely re-purchase it!

I love it. I feel like there are ten mirrors for Snow White's evil step mother to ask questions into. Plus the sparkle distracts me when I'm typing in a way that makes my day better :)

Intense, tiny tiny holo glitter, looks gray-silver and is gorgeous. What I like about this particular color is you can make it as opaque as you want, depending on the number of coats applied. I love this polish! I also love the name -Coronation-. I actually got it in honor of QEII, not kidding. Long Live the Queen! (BTW, I'm American but have always been an Anglophile:)
This is definitely one of OPI's prettiest polishes, especially within the DS range.

This is a color which you can call as so so color.
yeah it's not smashing color, but eye catching enough if you wear it for office look.
It's just more like nude glittery color for me if you swatch 1 coat.
If you want to wear it a bit thicker, then 2-3 coats will do.
And the hologram effect only works in direct sunlight (guess will do on beach).
If it's only lamp light, it just looks like a glittery color.
But I just notice, that micro-glitter has a purple effect.
As some friends told me it was very pale purple on my nail.
Yeah, it has hint of purple light.

I bought this nail polish because I looked at some swatches online and it seemed to be a good, thick glitter polish, but when I got it in and put it on my nails it was very sheer and did not look anything like the other pictures people posted. I dont know if it was just mine or what, but if you're looking for a real solid silver glitter polish, this one is not it. Its very sheer.

I reallly wanted to love this polish. Um, you have to do 3 coats to make it look decent. It goes on smooth. However, the sparkle doesn't wow me like I want it to. I actually like it in nondaylight better than I do in daylight. In daylight the glitter looks kind of cheap to me. It chips really easily too. I still want to try more of the DS polishes. From what I've read on here some of the others are better.

I'm obsessed with holos, but this one disappoints. It's only holo in certain lighting, and even then, I've seen way better. In many other types of lighting, it looks like a dull, drab grayish color. I bought this online after seeing pics on mua. If I had seen it in person beforehand, I would have passed.

First up, would only NOT buy again because nail polish lasts forever as I usually only do my toenails and I get over something before it runs out.
I bought this for something a bit bling and Christmassy. It looks good, but not smashing. Agree, the holographic is pretty cool (even for an oldie like me) but it only really shows in sunlight so I was a little disappointed that it just looked silver at evening functions.
Stays on well, no chipping, need 3 coats for full coverage (like most).

I got this in a swap and I must say I love it!!!! I am a big nail polish fan. I must get me another bottle my HG! Its not like any other glitter like polishes. It reminds me of those bubble like stickers we use to get in the 80's. lol....Now If I can just find the gold polish like this!

Gorgeous shimmery silver n/p that shines like brilliant diamonds. It looks best in direct daylight. The formula is good, but goes on a bit uneven and goopy so you need at least 2 coats. After that, you're good to go. I use this mainly as an accent color but it goes well on it's own. It's a cool tone color that looks good on all skintones.

was so happy to finally get my hands on a holo polish, this one is gorgeous but needs atleast 3 coats to be opaque. cant stop staring at my nails, best shown in sunlight. the light silver tone of the polish i would say, would suit people with a pale skin tone as it is definitely a cool tone. have worn it for 3 days now with a top coat (seche) and havnt had a chip yet. when it was applied it was quite runny, but spread easily, need to give this a little extra time to dry so it doesnt smudge, but the end result is worth it =)

Lovin' this polish! I haven't been able to find any of the DS Series anywhere, but I happened upon some yesterday - pretty much whatever was left of their stock as I assume these are limited edition shades - and grabbed this one as the others just weren't really for me. I was nervous after the first coat that this was just going to look like glittery junk, and silver is a really hard shade for me to pull off on my caramel-olive complexion, but this look fab!!! I did four coats as I wanted the holo to be really dense, and it looks amazing, I genuinely can't stop staring at my nails. I thought initially that I would only wear it for certain occasions, but it's not so out there that I felt strange about wearing it to work. My particular bottle applied like a dream, and it doesn't leave that gritty feeling on your nails like some sparkly polishes can. I feel like going back to buy more, since I know they'll be all gone soon enough!

Of the DS polishes that I have (four of them so far!) this is my least favourite. It might work for you, but it wasn't great for me. Something about the tone of the silver looks like grey fingers of death with my (very cool and pale) skin tone. I'm NW20, if that helps. I'm still giving it a 4 out of 5, because it is a nice polish and would probably work fine for other people - I just don't happen to like it on me.
The base colour is a light silver/metallic steel grey. The holographic shimmer is silver on silver. It isn't really as multicoloured as I expected a holographic polish to be. It looks more like regular silver glitter. The coverage is OK. Three coats required for bottle colour on the nail. The wear is great, as with all OPI polishes. The texture is lovely and smooth, no glitter particles in it, which also makes it easy to remove. I hate trying to scrub off the glitter bits in my usual glitter polishes, but this is a breeze!
Buy again - not for me. I'm going to try to track down all the other Designer Series colours though - shame they are so hard to find! Kind of expensive, but mostly worth the price!

I like DS Coronation because of the large holo particles. The color reflects a lot of light, and looks heavenly outside! The first coat went on smoothly, but I experienced dragging when I layed the second coat on. This was the first time I've experienced dragging with a DS polish, so I was a little bummed out.

My first OPI Designer Series polish, and my favourite. It's just so bling! It's a holographic silver that adds pizazz to any celebratory occasion (hence its name, I would suppose). It applies like a dream, thanks to the pro-wide brush, and dries almost instantly. Two coats would make it shiny, but three coats is amazing. Doesn't even need a top coat, it's so shiny!

I love silver polishes and glitter so I had to try this one.
Like the one review below me, it went on well, smooth consistency and was opaque in 2-3 coats. (Many silver glitters are more top coats with sparse glitter.) This polish is gorgeous and the glitter is small enough that it's a no lump holographic.
The only disadvantage I can see is price. Being an OPI Designer polish, the price is higher than the regular OPI polishes (although nowhere the high prices of Chanel or NARS polishes.)

i look like i have diamonds on my fingertips. =D
this polish is awesome! the formula is great, perfect consistancy, like all my other OPI's.
i used two coats and it was alreay opaque. i didn't have the problems the last reviewer had. maybe it was the batch? so sorry to hear hers was watery and sucked cuz my bottle is a good one.
the color is a dusty silver hologram with tons of blue, green and yellow microglitter throughout. =D
if you own a ton of holo's already and don't have this then u need it in your collection. but if you've never bought a holographic color, this will be a cool and "safe" holo to get since it's silver and who doesn't love silver? =)

I was really looking forward to this, because I have several of the DS polishes and all are really pretty and sparkly. However, this one sucks! It's so watery, and even 3 coats were not opaque! Plus it smudged. It's very similar to ChG's Visit Me in Prism. I'll just order more of that next time.
