I purchased my body butter at a mall in Anchorage,Alaska while I was in town. I decided to use the lotion after a shower so that I would smell good for my flight home and when my fiance picked me up at the airport. I was in a rush to get ready and slathered the lotion on before I took a smell of it...big mistake.
I noticed throughout the day as I waited on my plane people would sniff and then look my way. When my fiance picked me up at the airport he asked if I had been drinking and said I smelled like old, stale cheap beer! I was going to post on the Body Shops website, but I don't see this item listed anymore.

I got this from one of those sales... $5 for a small tub. I think I may have bought an expired tub because mine honestly smells... Sour. Like it doesn't smell good at all. Sour and plasticy. I love all TBS scents (in love with papaya and lychee for the scent and moisture but mostly coconut and shea butter for moisture after a shower).
I need to find time to smell what the raspberry scent is "supposed" to smell like but then as per previous reviews, they don't make this scent as a staple anymore?
I use it on my feet at night.. Sour plasticy feet...luckily the scent fades after while

To my personal opinion this is a great body butter. This is the first body butter I bought from the body shop and by far I think it is the best I have. It has a really nice texture. It is really soft and it smells really good and feels like a yoghurt. Definitely worth the money!

I have tried a ton of TBS's body butters and this is by far my favorite!! I'm so sad they don't have it as a regular anymore- but as many have said.. you can find at TJ Maxx, or I have also scored tubs at their semi-annual sales. As one reviewer described, it smells and feels like yogurt. So yummy! I typically like the body butters for "normal" skin since body butter is so rich to begin with-- these tend to absorb faster and do not leave behind a greasy feeling that I sometimes get with the ones made for "very dry" skin.

I bought this at T.J. Maxx for something like k$6, which is much cheaper then I have paid for the other tubs I have from the store. I love this scent so much, it smells like real raspberries. I put it on and people were sniffing me and even I wanted to eat myself. It is a very good moisturizer too, all of the body butters are. I really like the strawberry one but the raspberry is just so delicious it is hard to decide which I like better. Too bad they don't still have this at the store, maybe I should have bought another one.

well what can i say about this amazing butter! it smells exactly like yogurt and moistures great on my arms and legs because they don't get dry. but i do prefer a more moisturing butter on my knees and elbows such as moringa, blueberry or mango! still a great buy go for it if in doubt!

I mainly bought this because it was part of a promotion and I immediately regretted it. The smell was disgusting and left my skin feeling slimy rather than smooth. I didn't use it for a week and opened it up to find it nearly liquefied even though I left it in a cool room. Safe to say, this went in the garbage quickly.

I loooove this body butter! It smells soo good and it is very moisturizing. It keeps me soft for a very long time. I put it on at night after my bath and in the morning when I take a shower, I can still feel it and smell it. It is just wonderful! I love the strawberry and wild cherry ones as well! : ))

Scent: It's not sickeningly sweet or artificial, and it does smell like raspberries (they use raspberry seed oil). But once you put it on your skin and it's somewhat absorbed, it smells more like a baked raspberry good (like when I made raspberry white chocolate cookies) than fruity, very seedy actually. It makes your clothes smell for a few days, I don't mind it on my pajamas. I smelled it on my sister from meters away, even after a few hours since she put it on.
Texture: It's very light and thin. It says it's made for normal skin but it's very oily and takes a while to absorb. I have dry skin and it was still too oily for me. One time I rubbed it on too vigoriously because I was in a rush and the butter pilled/balled up on my hands while they were still very oily. It wasn't dry skin that came off, because it was pinkish.
I would not buy it again because the smell is not that great and it's way to oily and takes too long to absorb.
This butter is not a mainstay at TBS(in North America at least), they bring it about once a year out during a body butter sale. I got mine in a 2 for 20 along with the blueberry one that is also not a mainstay.

Love love love the scent! Raspberry is one of my favorite scents from TBS; I also like mango and coconut. This is smooth and soft just like a body "butter" should be. I love that it's for normal skin. I don't know how it is for dryer skin cause I don't have that problem. It absorbs nicely and leaves behind a faint raspberry scent. Not heavy or oily at all. Hope it will never be discontinued!

This body butter is a lot lighter than some other TBS butters. It gets absorbed quite well. I love the texture. It smells like raspberry candy (not exactly like actual raspberries) and its quite pleasant. I recommend this butter if your skin is not extremely dry.

Smells divine like pure real raspberry and sinks in so quickly! It's the only thing from TBS that I'll definitely repurchase.

This product smells amazing, it is my favourite body butter scents. I sometimes find when things claim to be fruit scented but they smell overly sweet and it feels very artificial but this is not the case of the the raspberry body butter. I love using this product with the raspberry body scrub, I think they work really well together and they both smell amazing. Its attended for 'normal' skin so it probably won't be the most moisturizing of the body butters.
I will definitely be repurchasing the raspberry body butter but it is annoying that I can only purchase this online. The tub lasts about 3-4 months so I think it is worth the £12 price tag. I bought 3 tubs of this in the January sales so hopefully they will last me until next time they are on sale.

I own and use many of the body butters (satsuma, moringa, wild cherry, coconut, almond and mango) including raspberry, and this is by far my least favorite. The scent is fruity and resembles raspberries, but it does not smell natural to me.
It's not as moisturizing as the other body butters, and it does leave a slightly funny feeling on my skin. I bought this and the raspberry scrub at the end of the year sale. I bought two body butters and I am going to try to take one back. I will continue to buy TBS body butters, just not this scent...

Check out my notepad to read a more detailed explanation of my body skin type!
What it Claims:
"Indulge in a deliciously rich cream that moisturizes and softens your skin for up to 24 hours with an unbelievable sweet berry scent."
Claims - True or False?
1) Moisturizes and softens skin: True. It left my skin feeling very hydrated, yet it also made it greasy. On average, it took about 30 minutes for the product to actually sink into my skin.
2) Moisturizes for up to 24 hours: False. Sure it's hydrating, but not for that long. At most, I'd say half the day.
Packaging:
I love the deep raspberry colour of the packaging. Simple, easy to use. Because it is so runny, I'd prefer a squeeze-tube.
Smell:
Very strong smell. I remember when I had it on, people in my math class could smell it from across the room. However, I adore the smell. It's fruity, sweet, and just so summery.
Consistency:
SO runny. It feels quite oily as well, and refuses to properly sink in. However, this consistency makes it wonderful for my normal-dry skin when using on freshly washed skin, or using at night. I love using it on legs and arms when I'm going out, as it adds a glow to the skin and still has a slightly oily feel to the skin - something that I like for arms and legs. Not so much for hands, especially when you get an itch on your face.
Ease of Use:
Easy to use, as are most creams. Smooths over the skin very easily because it is so thin compared to the others, but requires a lot of rubbing in.
Bang for your Buck:
Normally, the large ones are around 20 dollars. Simple solution? Get one of their cards. With it, I pay around $13.00 Canadian for the 200mL tub. Depending on how often you use it, it will last anywhere from a 3-6 months. Because they are on the smaller side, I advise buying something cheaper (as many cheap brands are just as effective) to use on a regular basis, such as before bed and after bathing, and keep the body butters from TBS for use on specific areas like hands, elbows and knees.
Final Consensus:
Hydrating, but not excessive. On dry skin, it may not be hydrating enough, but for normal to slightly dry skin, it will be great. I love the smell, it's a fun indulgence, and it lasts a good while with regular use. Will buy again if I can find it (It was not listed on the American or Canadian TBS shop site, and last time I was at a physical TBS location, I did not see it - is it discontinued?).
Overall Rating: 4/5
Price: 3/5
Packaging Quality: 4/5
Would you buy this product again: Yes.

I have to say that this is the least favorite of all the body butters that I have tried (moringa, olive, coconut, mango, grapefruit). The smell is really fruity and quite pleasing. The texture, though, is not thick enough compared to the other body butters and consequently the moisture it provides is much less. I will finish my tube but I would not repurchase.
