I've been using this stick foundation for years and just realised that I've been through about 3 or 4 of them! The great thing though is that they've each lasted for ages before I've needed to replace them, so I feel this product is pretty good value for money.

I typically have combination skin which can become quite dry in winter, but this foundation seems to work for me all year round. The creamy texture seems quite thick at first but it's really easy to blend over the face (after moisturising/priming of course). It provides really great coverage, so I generally use it for weekends/special events to get a flawless-looking complexion. It's also really good for layering concealer and powder on top, you just have to ensure you don't go too heavy! It definitely lasts for hours too.

Overall a simple, but pretty great foundation. I've tried a few other foundations in recent times and am always on the lookout for the "perfect" foundation, but can see myself repurchasing this again in the future!

im not fussed over any makeup item thats not lipstick eyeshadow so when it comes to foundation I keep things simple!! I dont have much to hide maybe a wee bit of uneveness but even if i did this would be great. got it as a gift when i was 14 (for ball makeup) and have been buying EVER SINCE one stick lasts me about 1.5-2 years no kidding, you just swipe a bit on your face and use a foundation brush (which i got from the supermarket for a few dollars) , doesnt come off, doesnt melt off and doesnt look greasy or dry. perfect for people that want something fast and simple. will keep re buying till the end of time

A little goes a long way with this! I've never had a foundation that gave so much coverage while using so little. Although it is a bit pricy at $40 for a stick, I heard that it lasts most people for at least 6 months. It's easy to apply and I love it! However, while I have blemished skin so I love the coverage, people who don't have as much to hide might find the coverage to be too much. But overall, highly recommended!

I have combination skin. I was on the search for a foundation that blended well with my skin and not change colors once it oxidized. This was a GOD send!

I'd never tried a stick foundation before and was very skeptical. The MUA at Nordstrom assured me that this would satisfy all of my concerns....and it did.

I swipe the stick all over my face, then blend it with my Mary Kay (paddle) foundation brush. My look is flawless!

I learned that it doesn't matter how light or heavy you apply it, you'll still have a natural look with a matte finish. I couldn't be more happier!

I was color matched to Look 5B and I also purchased the Mineral Primer (powder) over it. It's a yellow based powder and it doesn't give that white/gray cast in pictures. For now, I will definitely repurchase. In our brutal Texas summer months, I'll just lightly apply for basic coverage and use a powder foundation to set it. We have 100+ degree temps here.

I forgot to mention this Foundation Stick also does double duty as a concealer, too. Thumbs up!

I really wanted to like this and I love the idea of stick foundation, but ultimately I ended up returning this to Ulta. The color range is a little limited and I ended up with look 3 and there was just a smidge too much yellow undertone to it. I am a bit more light tan olive. Anyways, the formula is beautiful and does give excellent coverage, but for me it was like almost too much coverage. The only thing I can think of is it's full on glamour shot makeup. Lol. I really couldnt see myself applying this everyday because it really does cover and is quite opaque even when applied with a light hand. Plus the other problem is again, the limited color range. The formula without the sunscreen would definitely photograph beautifully and give you an airbrushed look. For me, thats just not what I want for my everyday look. Also, I realized it was breaking me out. Not entirely sure but I think it is the nylon-12. Those ingredients are in may powder foundations which all broke me out too. It does have beeswax and aloe which is hydrating and good for sensitive skin, so if you arent sensitive to the other ingredients and want full, full coverage then definitely check this out.

Best foundation I've ever used. Covers very well. Looks natural. Does best (for me) when combined with a non-greasy face lotion (like Purpose). Great for photographs because it has no sunscreen in it.

I bought this in look 1 back in december and loved it!! It has great coverage and depending on what you use to apply it you can go lighter or fuller on the amount of coverage you are getting. I use a thick foundation brush to put it on and I get great coverage!! Full! It makes your face a nice flawless look and blends great! The colors offered are very similar. I have been tanning so I went in to Ulta to pick up the next shade up (look 2) but it did not really help me out. I took it back and got look 3 yesterday so hopefully it will be better. I do use Physicians Formula Illuminating Powder duo over this for a nice glow. It also soaks up any shine on my nose that may develops from the NP stick (it has alot of oil in it). I have gotten many compliments on my makeup and thats a great feeling!

I just purchased this product yesterday. Although my skin is naturaly oily, its been very dry and sensative thanks to Proactive. The Ulta consultant suggested another product to help my skin. This foundation was suggested due to the on going dark acne spots, current acne issues, and dark circles under my eyes. With the weather being unusually hot and humid, this make up is holding up well. I applied a light amount all over my face with a foundation brush and used it as a concelor for the smaller areas too. I finished it with a lighter dusting of Bareminerals Vail.

I'm really like this product.

Wow. That is all I can say about this product!
First of all I am a foundation freak. That is the most important thing in my routine as I love a flawless base; and this foundation stick gives me that.

This foundation on my skin is full coverage. I apply this with their 'Artist Foundation Brush Sable 19b' (my favourite foundation brush besides Sigma's 180) mixed with a little bit of primer. The texture is creamy and the application is smooth. It is super quick to achieve a full face, but this looks natural yet still 'dolled up'. My partner always compliments me when I wear this :)

Only down fall is the staying power. You have to make sure you have a GOOD setting powder. The first day I wore this it melted away in patches after 6.5 hours of wearing it (which is still great!). So the next day I wore my setting powder and when I first applied it my makeup looked amazing....after a long day at work (I work at Sydney's International Airport so I do A LOT of running around) it was still fresh and flawless!

I would recommend this to everyone!

Remember....

IT'S ALL IN THE SKIN PREP AND APPLICATION :)

I bought this when I got my makeup done for my formal along with their primer. This foundation works really well on my skin and definitely covers everything up, but looks natural. It is a bit on the heavy side, so I don't apply it all over my face. It is best used with a primer, for smoother application. I also like the portability of it, so you could take it with you to a party or the gym. I wouldn't buy it again based on the price. I only bought it because I had $80 to spend.

This is near HG foundation for me, giving sheer to medium to full coverage, depending on how i apply it, with a fairly natural looking finish. Of 8 colors + a bronzer available in Napoleon Perdis Stick Foundation, 3 have SPF 8: B2 (porcelain); 2 (medium-light); B3 (light to medium).
.
My somewhat dry skin is pale neutral, but i have dark patches on both sides of my jaw and rosacea pink cheeks, so i am really multi-colored :-) I have been searching for a medium to full coverage foundation, with a finish not so matte it looks like drought ravaged my face. I tested dozens of very nice foundations, most fairly high end to very high end, that felt good and had a nice finish, but were not my color - many warm toned bases were too yellow, while most cool bases were too pink.
.
My color in NP stick, Look B2, described as porcelain. While B2 appears light neutral, once on me it looks a tad too pink. But after blending out it is not strikingly off-tone. It evens out my skin tone, although it doesn't hide everything. But i can build the coverage to almost completely hide the discolorations without feeling like it is suffocating my skin. For performances i sometimes top this with a dusting of powder, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in Light Plus, or Light Sunshine Beauty Powder. But this isn't really necessary for normal wear, as it dries to a creamy-powdery finish without accenting every wrinkle.
.
The creamy stick is easy to use, and nicely portable, unlike so many powders and liquid bottles. I just swipe it on my face in a few places and blend out with my fingers, although the box says to use a brush. It doesn't feel greasy - a problem with old-style stick foundations - and, although it does contain beeswax, it doesn't feel waxy, either. This is *way* better than some other foundations i have tried that set so dry i looked like a mummy, even with moisturizer and primer (MAC Studio Sculpt, i'm lookin' at you). I haven't tried this with primer yet, but so far, unless it is terribly hot and humid, it lasts for hours. And being portable, it's easy to touch up.
.
Some here have complained that it is thick, greasy, and hard to blend, but i suspect they have just applied way too much. I get medium coverage of my whole face with just a few short light swipes: on each cheek, on my cheek bones, each jaw near the ear, chin, and center forehead; then easily blend out with my fingers - i haven't tried with a brush yet, but i guess i'm kind of old-school. Once blended, i may then give a second swipe over the dark discolorations on my jaws & cheeks.
.
My package/box differs from that pictured, being black, but the scrolly floral pattern is similar. The shiny black plastic tube that holds the foundation picks up finger prints, but, enh (shrug), so what. (i only mention this because so many others here remark how their dirty fingerprints show up on various makeup cases). It is a bit expensive, but a little goes a long way, and it will be quite a while before i use this one up.
.
I have been pleasantly surprised because people have been commenting on how nice my skin looks when i'm wearing this. I am *very* happy with it and don't feel any need to consider looking at another brand until i use this one up.
.
EDIT: I am now using Lancome Renergie Lift liquid foundation, which is light, soothing and moisturizing. I still use this stick as a concealer. First i apply the Lancome foundation, blend it out well. Then over dark spots that show through i swipe on this stick and blend.

So I went to Ulta over the weekend on the hunt for a heavy coverage concealer and this in "Look 2" fit the bill. I like that the coverage is buildable and is heavy. Hides my dark circles perfectly. I wouldn't use this on my whol face as I don't like full face makeup, but as a concealer, its a dream.

This foundation has an extreeeeeamly heavy coverage, so it wouldnt be the foundation to wear every day. It's soo thick and It broke me out really bad, i'd recommend this foundation to wear to special occasions or like if you're perfoming on a stage, it's also really expensive and i don't think its worth it.

I have this in the lightest shade (Look 1), but it still isn't light enough for my pale skin. I find that I have to use powder over the top to avoid it looking unnatural. In terms of coverage, it's pretty good at covering any blemishes, though I'm fairly certain it's not doing any favours for the congestion on my chin - it's a very heavy foundation and every time I use it, my skin seems to look worse the next day. So far I haven't been too impressed with the Napoleon products I've tried, I think they're overpriced and overhyped!

Worst foundation ever!
Thing is... my older sister uses this foundation & it looks absolutly gorgeous on her, so i though i might go buy this foundation.... biggest mistake of my life!
it may look good on her (she has flawless skin without makeup) but on me it looks terrible, i don't know why.
we both apply it the same way & wear the same amount.
It is oily & cakey! i absolutly dispise this particular foundation.
i advise do NOT buy it!
It also makes me look ill & extremely white.
it does NOT look natural at all!
I'm only 16 & this foundation makes me look like i have wrinkles and it also caused me to have a really bad breakout.
i only bought it the other day.
It is not worth the money!
i say Revlon & Maybelline are fantastic (=
i am most definitely NOT going near this foundation again.

A couple months ago I converted from mineral makeup back to a brand I know and trust. This is largely due to my highly sensitive skin and mineral makeup brands breaking me out and causing weird skin irritations.

Buying and using this foundation has been a revelation on what a good non-powder foundation can do! My skin has improved vastly (along with other changes to my skincare) and my getting-ready time has decreased significantly which is FANTASTIC!

Application: I use a foundation brush moistened with a small amount of primer to apply the foundation. This achieves an amazing air-brushed effect and has eliminated the need to use a concealer as well.

I find that this method is much more effective than applying the stick to your face as doing that can result in a patchy and greasy caked on effect.

It is expensive but I would definitely buy it again, that is unless I can be swayed by another product when I go to the USA.

Used this for bridal make up it was good lasted all day. A professional make up artist did it for me. She applied Dermablend powder over it.
I went to a napoleon kiosk to buy it. I got a trial, it looked terrible! Looked cakey and mask like. It started to go orange during the day!
The next day, I had a zit attack!
I don't know if it was the bacteria on the brushes or the make up artist was bad... it was not a good experience!

i am an avid hater of stick foundations but i was suggested to try this one out by my manager.
i normally use a mac studio sculpt nc42 for every day, and i ended up getting look 4. when people say that this looks better with brush application, they are right. this is a must.
the coverage is great; i am more than happy because i have acne scarring on my cheek and forehead. the smell is abit ofputting but i dont mind it anyway.
i dont have a problem with the durabiliy of the foundation; i set it with parasella powder in a look 6 which is quite dark.
the only thing that i preferred about the mac as oposed to this is the underlying tone; this is slightly pink and i am a yellow tone. however saying this i knew when i bought it.

i heard it was hypoallergenic which is why i went for it in the first place; i ws breaking out and getting alot of little white heads and i just thought to try a new foundation.

the price is definately expensive but i dont mind at all because i am pretty happy all around!

This isn't my everyday foundation as I dare say it would probably do some damage if it were, the formula is quite thick and heavy, however the coverage is excellent so it is my bad skin day foundation, also good for going out because I know it will last!

You absolutely positively need a good brush for this one though because of the texture, a brush gives the best application NOT YOUR FINGERS!
