I don't know why it took me so long to write a review on this! I am not sure exactly when i aquired this palatte but I got it for my birthday maybe 2 or 3 years ago when I was 17 or 16... maybe 15. It was literally the only high end thing I owned back then and I was super excited to get it. I LOVED the packaging, the design was so unique and cool with the graffiti and doodles over the bamboo. The swivel lid is downright annoying though and there is no other way to put it. Overall this eyeshadow palette and the quality of the eyeshadows are such a let down. Trust me I have been trying for years to make these eyeshadows work. They are just soo pretty in the pan. They are also really pretty swatched. The only bad thing is that they do not transfer well to the lids whatsoever!!! Also I found even the neutral colours (like the golds or browns) didn't suit my skin tone or just looked strange when I wore them. Half Baked just looks yellow and strange on me, but beautiful when swatched. I really wish it has the same effect as amber lights by MAC but it doesn't seem to make anything pop at all. Even so it is still one of the most pigmented ones as well as Twice Baked. Twice Baked is a deep glittery brown, which is almost useless. Due to the glitter it is sorta useless as a crease colour and there are not many occasions where I would wear a dark brown on my lid! (it doesn't really suit me either). YDK is very pretty but I feel like it is just a tad too dark to be a lid colour but obviously not dark enough to be a crease colour. I feel a bit bleh about it. Midnight Cowboy is soo so gorgeous in the pan but all you can see on the lid is some chunky gold glitter. I think its supposed to be used over the other shades but it still doesn't work well like that. Grifter, Kiddie Pool, Flash and Flipside are the "out there" shades of the palatte. Again imagine these colours on the lid and then blended out with a darker shadow... beautiful. But in reality all you get is a sheer wash. Swatched on the hand: beautiful vibrant colour. I don't get it!! I have tried these wet, over a base, over cream eyeshadow and I still never get the payoff I want. Uzi is such a useless shadow as others have said. You expect it to be a silver/grey with beautiful glitter but all you actually get is a bunch of glitter that gets all over your face. Oil Slick is ok. Overall this palette has been such a disappointment and I conclude that I really don't like the texture of urban decay shadows. Even the shadows without glitter like ydk still manage to look chunky and rough on the lid compared to MAC e/s that go on like butter and look smooth. I know they have reformulated but its still going to take a lot to get me to try their e/s again...

It was my first Urban Decay purchase at Sephora, and it came with a mini sized eye primer (which I loved!). Colors are gorgeous, especially half baked, which is the golden color I have used the most out of this palette. I've used the black color a lot to line my eyes, and its perfectly pigmented! Downside of these eyeshadows are Uzi, Grifter, and Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. They are kind of chalky, and the glitters are super huge, the fall out while applying them will be inevitable!!!
Another downside: the packaging. I thought it was really cute, but after months of use it broke, so I had to attach it with wires, so yeah, it's really cheap. Besides that, I think it's a good product with lots of fun colors!!!

First off, I love Urban Decay! I love how most of the colors have a touch of glitter in them! I tend to buy more bright colors, so I am not a huge fan on the black, but it does have really pretty glitter in it!

I like this palette! I like how different it looks, and the colors that come in it. it comes with an odd brush but it works, and it came with a mini UDPP. A lot of the shadows from UD have a lot of fallout, but they come in such variety, and in cute palettes to customize looks! the fallout problem is fixable!
I will continue to buy palettes from UD!

i love these eye shadows!
the selection doesn't really match but i enjoy mitch-matching them with other shades from different pallets
theirs a wide range of colors from neutral, to glitter, to shimmer
from light to bright shades i absolutely love it
there was not one color that didn't pick up on my eye shadow brushes or blend well
the only complaint i have is the packaging! for that price, the top shouldnt just fall off a month after buying it

I LOVE Urban Decay, but this shadow box kind of let me down. I'm half and half on this one. I like some of the colors like YDK, Twice Baked, Flash, Oil Slick, and Half Baked, but the other colors just didn't work for me. Flipside (green color) didn't show up on me and didn't transfer well on my brush. Grifter, Uzi, Midnight Cowboy Rides Again, and Kiddie pool just left chunks of glitter on my face and didn't show up as well as I thought they would. It isn't terrible, but it isn't amazing like other palettes they have come up with. The packaging is really cute though and is what drew me into the palette in the first place. I haven't had any problems with the twisty top. Overall the shadows I do like are great and work really well, but I probably wouldn't purchase this again.

I like this palette! this was my first UD palette. I got it on a trip to AZ.. we didnt have a sephora or an ulta yet in my town, and I went when we went to PHX... and this is a good palette.... The packaging is ok... i like the turn top, but it comes loose quickly. and the brush was not my fav! it is a good one with good colors, but they are VERY glittery!! a bit of fallout, but just put tape on ur cheeks when done, that will pick up the extra!

Got this in my christmas stocking, very pleased with the funky colours (with interesting names as well!). Lasting eyeshadow.
Just the packaging sucks! I mean, at first I really liked the wooden bamboo effect, plus it hasn't fallen apart yet after a few months of using it. However, because it's a swivel cover, I can't help feeling the product keeps getting rubbed off. And it actually has, there's glitter and smears all over the palette... Loss of product = *sadface*
Because of the quality of the eyeshadow, I will probably purchase other urban decay eyeshadow products, but NOT this palette. Still, I did get this as a present which I'm really happy with! ^_^

first product i bought from urban decay. i love the color selection but their glitters are so annoying. it fell anywhere in my face. midnight coboy rides again being the worst.
i love ydk, half baked, twice baked, flash and kiddie pool. i don't really find the packaging is horrible or hard to use. instead i found it cute to have a twisted opening like that.
this one is ridiculously expensive for a high-school student like me.

I do like the quality of Urban Decay's shadows. I feel like they are on par with MAC's. Some do have tons of glitter fall out so you need to take steps to remedy that. YDK and Twice Baked are my faves. They are silky smooth and last all day over UDPP.
However, the packaging on this palette SUCKS. Just like everyone else who has reveiwed it, it did not last long. It fell apart after maybe about 5-6 uses. I would not re-purchase this palette, nor would I recommend anyone buy it. Stick with another palette or buy their cute single shadows by themselves. They dropped the ball on this one.

I hated this. The packaging was HOOOORRRRIBLE. It fell apart after I had owned it for a week and half after christmas! I can't believe it! On top of that I only like 4/10 of the colors (YDK, half baked, flash and kiddie pool) which is not a good ratio. A lot of the eyeshadows had meteor sized pieces of glitter in it that made me feel like a disco ball. My eyelids are already heavy looking and this just made them look so heavy it was like they were going to slide right down my face! The only thing I loved from this set was the brush. It's a really great brush.

This isn't a very good shadow box, actually one of the worst I have ever gotten! The eye shadows are beautiful, but it is the twist able lid! Its so stupid, sometimes the screw will fall out or the tip of the corners will scrape the eye shadow and leave a big line in them! My favourite eye shadow out of the whole shadow box would have to be YDK it is such a nice colour.
I have to say I am not very pleased with this eye shadow box from Urban Decay.

this is the WORST palette i ever bought from Urban Decay!! the design of the palette is nice and eco friendly, But overall, it is so stupid to twist off the top cover because the screw would sometimes get loose and the top cover fall off. Most of the shadows are glittery and shimmery which is hard to pull off a look using only this palette. there is no there are no matte shadow and no high light for the brow bone. Not worth buying.

These are my first Urban Decay eye shadows, I was really looking forward to trying them out after hearing all the rave reviews about them. I regret buying this palette though and wish I had done more research beforehand because the palette is generally very glittery. Grifter, Uzi an Midnight Cowboy are colours which I would never use. I was also disappointed with the quality, they are pigmented and blend well but not as good as Stila eye shadows although Stila is more pricier so I guess the UD quality is good for the price.
Packaging wise I like the bamboo and the pretty picture on the lid, I don't like the way the lid swivels though and the screw came loose on my palette after a few weeks. The mirror is too small and useless and the brush is awful. Another reason I wanted to get this palette was for the primer potion, I wanted to test it out without having to buy the full size one. I'm glad that I didn't get a full size one because contrary to the reviews on here I don't find it works at all... didn't prevent any eyeshadow creasing.
I like the way they have organise the colours in the palette, the eyeshadow on the top goes with the eyeshadow on the bottom (I heard this from another reviewer on youtube but can't remember her name). I like the colours YDK, twice baked, half baked and kiddie pool, these are colours that are available in other UD palettes and I wouldn't recommend this particular palette.

Overall, I adore this palette. Oil slick is my go-to color for eyeliner. I just apply it with a small angled brush on my upper lashline and it stays on all day. I use Flipside, Flash, Kiddie Pool and Half-Baked for a pop of color under my eyes. I always use YDK as my lid color. The only three shadows that can be a little tricky and bothersome are Uzi, Grifter and Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. You have to apply Uzi and Grifter carefully to avoid a lot of fallout. If you're going to use MCRD, don't put your foundation on first as you'll probably have to do it again from trying to get off all of the glitter. :)

I love this palette. Really like ydk, twice baked, oil slick, half baked, flash, uzi. Yes, I like uzi but I use it for glitter applied over an eye look with a fluffy brush or as use it as eyeliner with a wet eyeliner brush.

This was my very first purchase ever from UD and I was BEYOND satisfied! I felt like a "pretend" makeup artist LOL - The shades are fantastic and I found myself frequently using YDK, Twice Baked andHalf Baked - Awesome lid shades IMO. When I'm being adventurous, I used Flipside and Flash; haven't really used Kiddie Pool and Grifter. However, I could've done without Uzi and 'The Cowboy Who Shall Not Be Named'. Massive fallout with those two, which would've been great shades without the clunk glitter. Don't get me wrong, I'm a glitter gal, but those just weren't doing it for me. The quality and texture of the shadows were great, I had no trouble with "attempting" to blend lol. All in all, for my first UD buy this was fabulous indeed.

This is the Urban Decay product I've ever own and so far it's ok. I was debating on either getting this palette or the Vegan one. When I asked the sales person, at Macy's, which one I should get, she told me this one since there's more colors. So I listened to her and tried the colors and the colors were pigmented (which I like) and very shimmery. I used half baked, twice baked, YDK, and midnight cowboy rides again to get the "natural" look for my eyes and it ended looking shimmery and glittery. I didn't like midnight cowboy rides again because all the glitter ended up all over my face and I tried to wipe them off, but couldn't.
Overall, this palette is ok to have especially if your new to Urban Decay. The potion it came with is good. I might actually buy the regular size later. I won't get this palette again since I'm planning to buy their other palettes.

So shaved a point off cause the swivel part of the case broke so i have to use a rubber band to keep it closed securly..other than that..i love this palette.its one of my most used palettes compared to my ud ammo one..everyshadow in it is gorgeous..even the infamous UZI shade..with to me takes some patience to work with.and layers..i use it in the inner corners of my eyes for a night time look..my faves from this palette are YDK,FLIPSIDE AND GRIFTER. They are all gorgeous but those are my faves. This is a nice variety palette in my opinion.probably wouldnt repurchase since i have enough makeup to last a lifetime lol.

rating: this shadow pallette was pretty nice! i was so in love wiht it when i saw it at ulta and i just had to get it! it has 10 really nice colors:
YDK (shimmery bronze)
Flipside (teal shimmery)
grifter (pink with glitter)
VZI ( white with chunky glitter)
twice baked( very dark brown and shimmery)
midnight cowboy rides again ( chunky - glittered gold)
flash (shimmery almost-matte purple)
oil slick( shimmery black)
kiddie pool( shimmery light blue)
half baked (shimmery bright gold)
and it comes with a pretty nice quality brush (it is a little small)
it also has a really earthy design on the cover
and it has a mirrior.
the only thing that was holding me back was the price. it was i think 36 dollars and that just seemed like too much for a pallette this small.
well, i learned to love it. i ended up buying it and i am very happy with this product.
tha packaging quality is not- so - great compared to some of thier other palettes out there.
1) they dont have a normal cover, not like the ones that you just lift it up. these have a brad type thing to keap the "cover" in place and it swivels around when you want to use it.
2) because of this, they had to raise the cover so it wouldnt touch the eyeshadows when you open it. this can cause way more bacteria because it can go in your eyeshadow 24/7, now.
3) the swivel cover will just take up alot of space.
and thats all :)
i wouldnt buy this again just because i will pprobably not use my whole palette! (well, maybe)
