Few LUSH products have made me gag like Ginger.

The scent is matronly at best, and (to me) feels like bathing in my spice cabinet. No, no, no!

I love this so much, dang LUSH for discontinuing it! I love the scent, almost floral-like, but with a spicy kick. I love the creamy lather, though I wish it would last longer. I wish it was cheaper, and I wish that the packaging was better.

I hated this. It smells so grandmotherly. I tried it despite how it smelled in the store, and thought it smelled worse in the shower. I do however love the Gingerman. He's the only Ginger product I can stand to use

This is my favorite soap from LUSH, with its fresh floral/spice scent that smells so clean and feminine. I even like the color of the bar, a deep pink. If I could, I'd go to their site and order the powder and stock up on the soap. And the bath bombs, and maybe some perfume, LOL.

Unfortunately, I am late to the Ginger party, as all of the products with its lovely scent are discontinued.

I like the soap itself for being moisturizing and having a nice lather, but the scent is far from my favorite. It smells nothing like ginger - more like old lady to me.

One of the most decadent, sensual soaps I have ever used. I was instantly addicted! It's all about the fragrance- if you love the scent, you will love the soap because LUSH does not skimp on fragrance. It is very soft, not at all waxy. Careful leaving it uncovered when you're not using it because it melts easily. The pre-cut blocks of Ginger at my local LUSH were $22, ouch, but it is a wonderful thing to treat yourself to once in a while.

I really dislike this soap. It's pricey and smells like moldy flowers. I first got it as a sample and loved it, so i ordered a huge chunk only to receive something that smelled rancid. I thought it was a bad batch, so i took it back, but it all smelled the same. Gross

I am not really sure where I stand on this soap. It is pink, cute and looks good in the shower. I found that leaving it out on a wire rack minimises melting. The soap itself smells like a cross between a stem of ginger, dusting powder, and a field of flowers. Im not really sure if I like it. Its a strange earthy- meets- floral scent. I lasts and lingers on my skin, and the afterscent was mild and a lot more attractive to me! My Dad loves it, and he has tried a lot of LUSH soaps. However the price is expensive, and although the quality is great, it isn't something I can justify spending that amount on when I'm not even sure I like it.

It is an ordinary soap. Smells good to me, but nothing special at all. The smell doesn't linger, not moisturizing. Again, just a soap!

This soap is ideally scented. However, the price is outrageous!! However, I totally appreciate LUSH not skimping on quality...so, I can't complain, but that means its an occassional splurge purchase. I'm not a fan of soap that is open to the air...to me, it just melts faster, gets grubby, and makes me want to use it less...I am also not a fan of the bathtub ring that this, and all LUSH's products leave behind. Regardless, the scent keeps me coming back for more, and I will buy and buy again...only leaving me to scrub my bathtub and work harder at work. HA.

This is by far one of my favorite of all soaps that I have ever tried. The scent is very floral and yet it is spicy at the same time- I feel as if I were shopping at a spice bazaar in Morocco while in the midst of hundreds of roses. It lathers beautifully and just makes me feel sexy and sultry and refreshed all at once. A must buy!

It is unfortunate that Lush was considering discontinuing this soap but according to fuzzybunny above they are not! hooray :o) I love love this scent! I will agree with a prior review that it's a spicy, deep, thick, complex, earthy floral. It does indeed smell quite decadent, like something royalty would bathe in. It is anything but cutesy, it's a strong, confident, womanly scent. Amazing! :o) and I love how it scents up the whole bathroom yummmm.

I really love this soap, and its pretty pink appearance. I won't try to describe the scent properly, but all I can say is that it smells quite floral and spicy (couldn't smell the ginger in it), and there seems to be a pleasant hint of something musky in it. It's like a jeweled vintage dress found in a dusty leather trunk in the attic. I agree that this is a love it or hate it scent, and that the soap is pretty pricey. But I don't have a LUSH store in Brussels anyway, so this is just a rare treat for me really. One curious thing I have found is that the LUSH soaps seem to wear down much quicker than regular drugstore soaps - probably because of their softer consistency. ( To anyone buying a LUSH soap - I reccomend that you go to a store and smell them. They all sound heavenly on the website, but many smell pretty putrid and artificial in the store.) I may repurchase this soap if I get to a LUSH store again, but I think these are probably soaps you can try out once, then forget about.

Lush's Ginger fragrance in a creamy pink soap. This doesn't actually smell anything like spicy ginger, rather, it smells of a floral mix- a very strong floral mix. I like this soap, but it's so expensive...I cut little bits off and use them as hand soap, but can't bring myself to use the whole bar in the shower. If this was a bit cheaper I'd buy more, but at this price, probably not, even though I like it.

Not a soap I like.. got it as a sample in one of my past orders. It's very musty/old lady smelling.. I tried using it but had to end up throwing it away. Yuck!

I think Ginger is another one of LUSH's love/hate scents, and I fall firmly in the hate camp on this one. It's a very pretty pink soap, and gives great lather, but all I can smell is perfume mixed with a wet ashtray. Yuck. My nose just does not agree with this scent.

Do not be fooled by its pink color, this is not your typical ginger scent. It has very strong true ginger scent, earthy (like freshly dug dirt) as well as spicy, almost masculine in nature. If you are looking for a soft ginger note mingled with a little sweet floral a la Origins’ Ginger Essence, don’t waste your money on this especially since it costs more than the other soaps. The quality of the soap otherwise, like any other LUSH soaps, is excellent.

I adore this scent so much. I think it is a love or hate scent for many but to me it is like a scent from the 50s. It has that smell that is like sitting at Grandmothers beauty table and slathering on her old time creams and perfumes. It is kind of flowery and "smokey" at the same time. I can not describe this scent because it is so unique. I do know that it brings back pleasant memories for me and that is probably why I like it so much. I am however not crazy about the price. It is around $8 for a bar of this soap, which happens to melt too quickly in the shower. It is one of those "I will treat myself" type scents but not one I could afford to purchase for every day use.
