I could not survive a southern summer without this. I have oily, acne prone skin. My derm told me about this miracle product probably 10 years ago. In the colder months I use it maybe once a month, then in summer I usually increase it to every other day. This will dramatically help oily skin. Don't get crazy and use it too frequently or of course it will dry you out. And also always follow any cleansing with a good moistruizer, that will also keep oiliness at bay. I cannot recommend this product enough.

This cleanser really clears breakouts, but it made my skin so dry that it's not worth it. I tried dif. moisturizers afterwards and my skin would still get red and flaky. It also left a film which clogged my pores. I would sometimes use pc bha toner to remove the residue from the cleanser, and the cotton pad would come out dirty. So even though it clears breakouts, it doesn't exactly get your skin clean if that makes sense.

I have had awful, teenage hormonal acne. I have used the "best products" the ones that have been guaranteed to work, and had no luck. Even proactive, which ultimately made my skin worse and was adding a lot of oil on my shiny oily face, which ended up in zits. I read many reviews on PanOxyl and everyone seemed very pleased with it. This product is really a miracle in a bottle. My acne cleared up and this product by two weeks stopped all breakouts and prevented them from coming. This product does contain 10% benoxyl peroxide and if you are sensitive to that, I would suggest using this once a day instead of two just for the sake of you skin not drying out. Purchase an oil free lotion if your skin does dry out, because this product is definitely worth the results. I give it 2 thumbs up, and I'm so happy my skin is clear now!

My dermatologist recommended this a few years ago, but when I ran out one time I never made it back to buying it. Well, my acne returned and so I went in search of this again. I found it cheapest at wal-mart around $8.97 and i got a $2 off coupon on panoxyls website so $7! Other places were $13-14. Anyways, I LOVE this product. It hasnt been drying out my skin. I have fairly oily skin and am stressed out a lot due to school. Sometimes I use a spot treatment after this, but not usually. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I love this because it does not affect my birth control pills like other acne medicines do!

This is amazing but takes time to work. It takes about 1 week to work, so once you start using it, don't stop as spots will re appear!!

So in December I started breaking out like crazy. It was all over my chin and inner cheeks and some on my forhead. They ranged from nodules to whiteheads that got bigger and bigger every hour. I am still young so I was freaking out thag my acne was getting worst. So when I went to my doctor for a physical, I told her my acne bothered me and she reccomended PanOxyl to be used with a BufPuf and to use it once in the morning and once at night. So I got them and I am pretty impressed. So at night I use PanOxyl with the BufPuf then I use a toner, and then I out aloe vera (the plant, to get rid of scarring, redness, and inflamation) then I use emu oil for the same reason. Now a day, I don't get so many pimples. I get the occasional 2-3 whiteheads but they are small and easy to get rid of. I have not gotten a cyst or anything that large. I still get blackheads sometimes but that wasn't a big concern. I am so happy with the results I get. I feel confident now that I don't have volcanoea erupting from my face.
CON: I have always had oily skin. And I still do on my forehead and cheeks. But once I started using a BP spot treatment on my chin, it healed my acne but it left my skin flaky and dry. I stopped using it then shortly after started using PanOxyl. I have to wash with this only at night because 2 times a day is too harsh. I can't wash my face in the morning, because no lotion helps the dryness, and my emu oil looks too oily to be out in public. My chin gets very dry around 5 in the evening and it starts to flake. So does the area around my nose. It itches too. My chin now has hyperpigmentation to the dry areas, but I am not sure if that is also caused by the cold winter. So the only thing is is that it will dry you out and flake you no matter what skin type you have.

Let me tell you... I absolutely love Pan Oxyl! I have been struggling with Acne for over 5 years and I have tried many products from Olay to Nuetrogena to Clearasil to Prescription Acne medicine. Just everything! When I first started using Pan Oxyl, which was a week ago, the first two days were bad! Pan Oxyl was putting my bumps to surface and and cleaning everything out, so that's what made my bumps worse! After that, the third day that I used it, it was amazing. I had sooooo many bumps on my face, but I promise you, my face is almost clear now! You can barely see ANY bumps at all! This happened only a week after I have been using it. I use it day and night, twice a day! I love Pan Oxyl, and I will definately buy AGAIN! The Product was $11, almost $12 dollars! Good luck!

For starters. I have really nasty acne..not those little itsy bitsy things that some people freak out over. I get those big, RED, puss filled cysts that that stay on your face for more than a week...the ones that makeup will NEVER save you from. So if you have those, then maybe this cleanser is right for you. :)
I went through two tubes of this and I have to say, I LOVE IT! This plus my Clarisonic has really improved the amount of pimples I get during a breakout. I'd say it's reduced the numbers from 17-20 down to maybe 8 at the most (1-2 of them being big fat puss filled and the rest itsy bitsy ones). I also use this for my back acne and it works wonderfully! Although the product contains sodium lauryl sulfate, it's low on the ingredients list and I haven't had any problems.
I have to make one suggestion though. If you have extremely sensitive skin, do not use chemical exfoliants (AHA), or have naturally dry skin, than you might want to try the 4% version or steer clear from this.
Also, if you're using this for the first time, try using a small amount with water first and gradually add more daily or weekly, depending on how your skin reacts. It helps your skin get used to the product. I highly advise moisturizing with a serum and/or moisturizer after cleansing no matter what skin type you have.
If you want to extend the effectiveness of the product, decant a little into a bottle so that the chemical properties aren't compromised it high temperatures and humidity during showering.
Overall, I think it's a great product for acne.

I have had acne since I was 11 and I am now 25. Could you imagine going through product after product and never seeing results? Nothing natural, which I prefer, worked. I tried all of the name brand products available, as well as prescriptions and nothing seemed to work. I was shopping in Walgreen's one day this past summer for another acne product, once again, and I was devoted to finding a product that would work. I read the front and back of labels. Compared the ingredients of acne products of what I had used before to make sure I didnt end up with the same results. I started off being very consistent, washing my face with PanOxyl 10% Foaming Face Wash everyday. My oily face was fighting to continue being acne prone, but I was not giving up. Though my skin was oily I did see results immediately, it was just that my face would start to clear up and I would break out in a few days after. "Why me?" I thought. I kept going forward because of the quick results I was seeing. As I did I'll admit I tried to leave it on longer than 5 minutes and it would start to burn. I learned not to exceed 4-5 minutes and made sure I removed all of the residue. Left over residue will burn and dry out your skin causing it to peel. And guess what? I went from using it everyday to maybe 3-4 times a week. My face is clear, less oily and its only winter. It had also helped with the dark spots I had. Im very happy with this product.

I use this face wash when I'm in need of a deep clean or I get a few blemishes. It's too strong for daily use for my skin. Skin Type: Oily T-zone, sensitive skin on my cheeks, no major acne issues

I've only had this a few days but I need to write a review because it only has taken a few days for this product to help almost eliminate my resistant back acne! 6 months ago, I developed moderately severe back acne due to hormonal changes. I'd tried using prescription acne medication on it (tazorac), benzoyl peroxide, nothing helped at all. sometimes it would get a bit better, but ultimately would go back to being disgusting and bumpy. I purchased this after reading reviews on here. I've used it a few days, only at night because I've read that it can bleach clothing. I rub it onto my back and leave it for 5-10 mins, then wash it off. I tend to have very sensitive skin but so far this cleanser has neither irritated or dried out my skin. I'm even considering using it on my back. Anyway, my back is at least 70% better already, you notice the difference hours after using this. Try it out, I got it for $6.99 at stop n shop.

I use the benzoyl peroxide products only on my chest and back-too harsh for my face. I ususally use clean and clean which has 5% bp in it, but they were out of it when I went to get it and I saw this so I figured I would give it a try. It broke my chest out so bad I have not been wearing any low cut shirts because of it. I switched back to clean and clear and my chest is clearing up. This stuff is just too harsh.

I have struggled finding a product that will work on my sensitive, oily combo skin but, a few weeks ago I ordered this product from drugstore.com (it wasn't in stock at walgreens) and it came about 2-3 days later. I started using it on Wednesday night and have continued to use it every morning and night. The first night I used it I noticed in the morning that my skin didn't look any better. I have to admit I am a very impatient person when it comes to acne treatments. I've been using this for almost a week without seeing much improvement in my skin. I did see that the little bit of acne under my lip had started going away and the two pimples by my lip weren't as noticeable. The part I was really disappointed about was that the acne below my hairline was still as red as ever and I think another pimple appeared. I have to say, this product is extremely drying, so if you have sensitive skin like me, I recommend using the Simple Light Moisturizer (you can buy at Kroger). I use it after I wash my face. Simple also has another heavier moisturizer that you can use, but heavier moisturizers usually make me break out even more....I really want to give this Panoxyl product a chance, so I might write an update to tell you how it's working, maybe in two weeks!

This product has saved my skin! I was about to start accutane before I tried this product. This used with any 5% benzoyl peroxide treatment afterwards and your acne will be gone! Be sure to moisturizer after and use sunscreen. I recommend la mer or neutrogena soothing cream. Try eucerin sunscreen.
Five stars! Try this, it's a great price and amazing results.

I've been using this product for almost three years! It's just amazing. I had really bad acne before and I had tried so many products that I just gave up and decided to just cleanse with this twice a day and do nothing else to my skin. I'm not gonna lie, my skin was pretty dry at first, and I had some peeling, but your skin will get used to it. Also, it didn't clear up my skin immediately, but after about a month, the difference was amazing! I still got a couple tiny pimples around my time of the month but they were nothing like the deep scar-causing pimples I got before!! and then I got the clarisonic, and when I use them together, I never get pimples AT ALL anymore =)
I was wondering why this was different from the other benzoyl peroxide treatments I used before and so I looked at the ingredients - it has alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic and lactic) so that must be making the difference! so then I tried once a week, in the shower, smoothing it on and leaving it for about 10 minutes like a mask, and it gets pretty intense, but my skin is so smooth and the pores are soo small afterwards
I recommend this to everyone!!

I have been using this product for years. One of my friends gave it to be becasue she said her dermatologist recommended it. I had bad acne that came out of no where when I turned 20, and I couldn't get rid of it. Finally, after using this product for a week it began to clear. I should probably stop using such a harsh product but it has worked for me for years and I love it. I strongly recommend it for people with acne problems. Also, I only use it once a day, opting for dove soap at night. I also combine it with a regular moisturizer. Anyways, this product is wonderful and highly recommended for acne prone/ combination skin.

I was very skeptical about using this product. I expected the Dermatologist to give me a prescription. I have had serious scarring on my back and chest for years. I have tried all kinds of products (Clinique spot corrector is awesome but expensive to use on areas more than your face). I must say I am noticing improvements. I never really had bad breakouts, just scarring all over I never could get rid of. I must say this product is lightening the scars. I do get breakouts on occasion and even this last time while using this it was less and did not last a day. I have only been using it for 3 weeks so I expect to see vast results in the next few weeks. I have to give props to whom it is due, if you are looking for help with bacne, and chest acne, I recommend this.
**It is drying, I didn't notice at first but it is. I just make sure to put lotion on the areas that I use it on and I have not problems.

I used Panoxyl for 2 week it over dried my skin because of the BP. Then my dermatologist recommended Jeosoef Skin Care Sulfur Soap 10% with Sulfur as the active ingredient opposed to BP. Well let me tell you my skin reacted so well to the sulfur soap my acne has cleared on my face and body. The soap is quite effective, they tell you for best results to use warm water and work the soap into a rich lather allow
"60 SECONDS" before rinse. This soap has been used by dermatologists for 50 years treating Acne and dermatitis and more. I use the soap twice a day. Joesoef's sulfur soap 10% is available online at www.Joesoefskincare.com or from your local dermatologists. Hope this helps anyone who skin reacts badly to BP. Ask you dermatologists for sulfur soap 10% and be used for face and body

I have been using this face wash for 2.5 months now (the tube version, not the bar). I have to say, it is the best acne fighting product I have ever used. I have light to moderate acne, which isn't debilitating, but at the same time, I've never gotten my skin completely clear. Enter Panoxyl, and now I have near-perfect skin. It has completely annihilated the breakouts I had on my cheeks and chin. The only downside is that it is extremely drying. I read the reviews before purchasing, so I knew to gradually work up my BP tolerance. I started out using it every 3rd day, then worked up to now using it once or twice daily. I always follow with at least 3-4 pumps of Cerave PM moisturizer and my skin has never looked better. I also want to add that I've recently implemented Acne.org AHA+ lotion to my routine, which really helps counteract the flakiness and dryness that BP can generate (and also keeps breakouts at bay). Panoxyl 10% BP face wash is amazing. It is inexpensive and widely available. I highly recommend it!

Doesn't do anything miraculous for me but I continue to use it because it was prescribed by my dermatologist. Tastes horrible when it gets up your nose. When it's running low it's difficult to get the product out of the bottle. Wouldn't buy this off my own back.
