Long, oily roots, dry ends color treated hair type. This does give me the volume I need. Even better than Redken's body full weightlifter I have been using off and on for the past few years. Despite the directions saying to use it on dry hair, I find it works best on damp hair before blow drying. To ensure I get no clumps of goo, I spray it onto my hands and rub them together. I massage the gel into my scalp/root area, or I scrunch it in there. I do this in different sections, until I no longer feel the product on my hands or hair. I dont even have to blow dry upside down when i use this product, its like instant thickening at the roots and volume. The spray nozzle works really fast, and a lot of product comes out. If you try to spray this directly on your roots, sometimes too much comes out or in one spot if you dont move your hands fast enough. This is more than a "mist" its squirts a stream of product out as well as mist of product. So either use it in your hands, or spray it in a line quickly moving your hand while the product comes out. I have used this on dry hair and it does work, but for my thinnish hair texture it seems to weight it down when I use it on dry hair. Like someone else said you can scrunch it to activate it through out the day. So you can have limp free hair all day. This smells like a clean perfume, I really like it. I like the red and black packaging. The pump is not faulty and you dont have to push down hard for it to work. I got this for $1 at a pro beauty place, I would pay full price. Im more into mousse's and such but this gel mist works great, and unlike mousses, you can re activate it so I think its worth trying. Would recommend, and just play around with applications, because it does give volume. I dont have to round brush my hair or anything when I use this, so ya it works on its own.

Based on the fab reviews, I'm wondering if I just didn't use this product correctly. I didn't like it at all! When I spritz it into my dry hair, I tend to end up with an icky mess. Yes, my hair gets more volume, but it's sticky and a looks messy. If I brush it out to make it less messy, I lose the volume. What gives? I'm going to try it again, but try diluting it with water, maybe it'll work better. Who knows?

I have very fine, flat hair normally. A bob suits my hair perfectly, but in recent years I have been experimenting with ways to have big hair & some waves since it looks better with my long, thin face and makes me look younger. B&B Surf Spray and Kusco-Murphy Beach Hair have helped a lot with this transformation, but something was still missing. I think I've found it with So Pumped. It helps to texturize my hair so that it has some grip, even when it's freshly washed. I like to go three days without washing my hair and I have to be careful not to use too much of this or it'll feel pretty icky by day three. Otherwise, it's about perfect:-) I love that you can fluff up your hair with your fingers anytime during the day and it revives the volume without having to use more product.

This did NOTHING to my hair. Nothing at all. I'm really disappointed as this was pretty expensive. Will not buy again.

I bought this product last week...I'm still not sure about it. It definately adds volume, but I feel like the volume doesn't last? Also not as much volume as I'd like, but as I hate the crunchy greasy sticky volumed hair, I am definatelly happy with this. Overall I do like this product, and I will repurchase, just not a huge difference that I can see.

Oh my gosh, I absolutely love this product. I'm very hesitate when it comes to liquid sprays, usually they don't spray well and just leaves wet spots in your hair but this stuff is amazing. It definitely volumizes which is the surprising when it comes to a liquid form.I love to carry it around-the travel size-in my purse just in case i need a little oomf when i'm out.

My stylist uses this on me all the time. I bought a bottle and used it up to the last drop--something I rarely do with a cupboard full of products in my bathroom. Just bought my second bottle today. I love this stuff because it really does help give my fine hair more volume and it doesn't weigh it down or make it stiff or crunchy. My stylist uses it while my hair is wet as a prep spray, and that is how I use it, too. I do use it dry from time to time but usually more as a styling product after shampooing. It is pricey but sometimes you can get BOGO at some salons or find it at TJ Maxx. Love it!

i just got back from the beauty supply store (professional only) and i originally went in for some manicuring equipment (cuticle remover, cuticle oil, orangewood sticks, cotton..etc.) and i decided to look at what Big Sexy Hair products they had that i didnt own yet lol and i came across this. it is a small/medium sized red pump spray bottle with a big black cap. you are supposed to use this on dry hair to add volume, without it feeling hard. so of course, i had to have it. as soon as i got home i sprayed this all over my hair (with my head upside down and then straight up) and sprayed extra at the roots and then with my hands, i lifted (kinda scrunched) up my roots and BAMM-instant volume!! i love it. my hair is still soft, not hard or sticky and the bottle is small enough to fit in my purse so i can use it where ever when i need to perk up my hair!
