Warm, dark, lush. I love vanilla, but most vanilla scents out there are too foody or remind me of high school. This is vanilla all grown up and all woman. It's a shame this has been continued - it's my go-to scent.

Smoky type of vanilla, great for cool weather. I got this in the EDT form and got the mist as a gift. This is definitely more sophisticated than Warm Vanilla Sugar, and is far less foody than Vanilla Bean Noel. Thick, sophisticated, sexy, slightly masculine but still a great addition to any gourmand fragrance lover's collection. Definitely one of BBW's more sophisticated fragrances. Sadly, this was already discontinued.

I got the body splash for this one. What I like about this product is that it's not a typical sweet and gourmand vanilla smell. It's warm and comforting and different from the other vanilla scents available in the market. Even my sister, who's very sensitive about scents, complemented me that it smells good. I do however get a synthetic smell upon first spritz, but after a while, it just smells good.

This is my stuff! I love it soooo much! A very sexy scent and it's actual vanilla. There's other vanilla products but they smell nowhere near as warm and vanilla-y as this. I'm sad that it's seasonal, according to an employee there. They were having a sale and I bought 6 bottles for around 8 bucks. I'm so happy. I hope they don't discontinue this amazing spray!

LOVE this scent!! Every company out there who makes body lotions/shower gels has their version of a vanilla scent.. but BBW's vanilla noir is the best. It is a unique scent of vanilla.. it stands out above any other vanilla scent I have ever smelt. It is also long wearing.. when I use the vanilla noir lotion/body spray I can smell it on myself for hours.. it almost has the potency of a perfume! I never get tired of this scent.. it is ultra feminine, sweet, and warm. Definately a BBW favorite of mine

Deep, dark, sexy vanilla! Quite a nice and sophisticated fragrance for BBW. Such a shame they have discontinued this one. You can still order from their website thankfully. Definitely recommend wearing this one during fall winter.....yummy dark vanilla!! I think the person below me described it perfectly : )

Yesterday, I went to Bath and Body Works to sample Dark Kiss and look around for some fall and winter fragrances. I sprayed Vanilla Noir on a spraying card, and it smelled nice, but didn't grab my attention. I kept the card with me just in case though. I ended up walking out with Black Raspberry Vanilla (which is a wonderful winter fragrance, by the way.) When I got home, I sniffed the card again out of curiosity, and I KNEW this was the fragrance I've been searching for. It just hit me like a sack of rocks! I knew I couldn't judge it based solely off the card (after all, scents develop differently on different chemistries), but I just couldn't resist driving all the way back today and picking up the body splash.
On me, it smells even better than it did on the card. Yes, there is a hint of tobacco, like some mentioned before, but it's not one that will have people asking if you're chewing tobacco. It's covered nicely by the dark vanilla, which isn't a headachey teenybopper scent. It's sweet and rich and deep. The effect is like a blanket that you've had since you were little- warm, safe, and comforting.
This scent just smells like it's meant to be worn with burgundy sweaters and scarves, with a dark lip and boots. It's the epitome of a fall scent. When I wear it, I can just picture the changing leaves and the bonfires and the darkened wood of the trees. Right now though, it's way too hot to wear this often, the effect would be suffocating. I can't wait for the cooler weather to hit so I can begin wearing this on a daily basis!

I expected it to be cloyingly sweet, but was pleasantly surprised! This EdT is a beautifully blended, creamy, woody, vanilla. It reminds me of the vanilla and sandalwood in Chanel Allure but it works better with my body chemistry. Allure HATES me, lol. It also smells remarkably like the first The Body Shop vanilla perfume oil. Same color, too. Vanilla Noir is warm, non-cloying, straight-up vanilla that stays close to the skin. It's not as dark as the name implies, but it is a very good non-chemical, vanilla. The bottle is solid and elegant. The best part is the price! I see they are phasing this one out. Too bad.

Very nice vanilla--not pure--but not sweet and cloying. I like it in all of it's phases. At first a little deep & spicy, but still vanilla, and by the end a pure vanilla. It is not very strong scent, which I would like better, but everyone around me probably wouldn't!

Pleasantly soapy vanilla fragrance. I really do like this. It's clean and warm and not too cloying and it wears more like a body mist than an edp, which seems fair considering the dirt cheap price I paid for this on sale. Very mixable, too.

Smelled it in the store, it's just DIVINE. I bought the body cream but sadly they didn't have the body mist. I thought the EDT was too expensive to buy.. so hope they will have the mist back some time soon cos.. I wan't to use it along with the cream!

two words for this scent. YUCK and CIGAR. I swear this smellls like a vanilla dipped cigar or ciggarette Maybe people who really enjoy a tobacco type scent will like this, but I was thinking it would smell more like a spicy vanilla akin to gingerbread vanilla. I will def be skipping this scent and washing my hand to get rid of it as fast as i can..warm vanilla sugar is a zillion times better then this one.

I was surprised by VANILLA -NOIR in a good way. I was expecting a nice, girlie, sweet fragrance, but instead I found an incredibly well-blended fragrance, that is quite 'dark' and seductive.
VANILLA NOIR opens with juicy plum notes, which is kept as only a slight hint of sweetness as it's combined with rather tart berry notes.
The spicy notes of cinnamon rises up quickly, and is enhanced by the carnation. I'm not sure how best to describe it; it's just so deep and sexy. I can't get enough of this combination. The vanilla notes follow hot on the heels of the cinnamon, but it's strictly here as a support act.
By combining the light fruits and vanilla with the spice we get a warm, comforting sweetness, with a slightly masculine sharpness, preventing the sweet notes from becoming sickly.
Scent notes: Black plum, dark berries, bergamot, gardenia, carnation, vanilla orchid, tuberose, vanilla beans, vanilla extract, toffee, cinnamon sticks, cashmeran, sandalwood and musk.

This is a beautiful, sexy, warm vanilla scent. I mostly like this scent for the cooler months or at night. I am not a fan of warm vanilla sugar anymore, as it is too sweet for me, but this has a creaminess to it that makes it cozy and sexy. Definitely a good scent for a date night. I just love it! I find it very sophisticated and not your average teenybopper vanilla scent.

Vanilla Noir is my best vanilla based scent from BBW. I also like Warm Vanilla Sugar BUT I disagree that they smell the same. Vanilla Noir is not edible smelling, its a sexy dark vanilla scent! I would repurchase this and I hope BBW will keep producing it. It's lovely and highly recommended!!!

this is 1 of the few bath & body works scents that i love. it's similar to warm vanilla sugar, but darker. i think this is perfect for daytime and evening wear.
EDIT:
i hate the bitter note in this. won't repurchase.

This review is for the EDT. This scent reminds me of a long ago line that B&BW carried called Vanilla Delights. One of the scents in this line was called Vanilla Musk. Vanilla Noir reminds me of this, it's almost exactly the same EXCEPT it's not as thick smelling. I'm sure this is due to the fact that Vanilla Noir is not loaded with musk. Instead, Vanilla Noir dries down to a medium sandalwood/vanilla scent. I do have to complain about the staying power of the EDT. It sucks. I sprayed it on me @ 5pm and couldn't smell it anymore at 8pm. That is really horrible. I should have bought the Body Splash/Mist, which I will do b/c I do like this scent a lot.
If you sniff this out of the bottle, at first you may think it smells like Warm Vanilla Sugar or Fresh Vanilla. If you actually spray it on you, you will quickly realize this scent is not at all like the two mentioned. It does stand alone in its own fragrance zone.

This review is for the Eau de Toilette. It's a very sophisticated vanilla, not at all foody, sharp or overly sweet. It's a rich, dark vanilla with many other notes blended in, which I will list further into this review. There is no burnt caramel note here, which would be an automatic turn-off for me. This is a great Fall and Winter fragrance, one which lasts and smells great sprayed on a scarf. I wish they made a body butter, but they do not, so I will make do with the body cream. Here are the notes according to the Bath & Body Works website:
Fragrance Top Notes: Living Black Plum, Exotic Dark Berries, Bergamot
Fragrance Mid Notes: Silky Gardenia, Purple Carnation, Vanilla Orchid, Tuberose Mist
Fragrance Base Notes: Living Vanilla Bean, Vanilla Extract, Whipped Toffee, Cinnamon Stick, Cashmeran, Sandalwood, Sensual Musks
I just found out that Bath & Body Works is discontinuing this scent and it's on sale for 50% off right now, so grab it while you can! The EdT packaging is very classy, and now, especially at 50% off (roughly $13.25+tax) it's a real bargain for a 2.5 ounce bottle of EdT.

This smells exactly like warm vanilla sugar or fresh vanilla. I do like both of those scents, but this is to similar to make me want to own all three collections. Its is just not unique enough in my book.

I received the purse spray from a generous MUA swapper, and I love it! Great every day fragrance. Not foody, it's deepened with musk and "dark" notes. Definitely not as spicy or deep as MV3 or Kat Von D's Sinner, but a great spritz! Would love to have bubble bath, EDT, etc!
