This product isn't the best lip balm I have used, however considering the natural ingredients, anti-animal testing and the delicious smell, I will only gave this a resonable score of 2 lippies. I bought a couple of different flavour version of TBS Born Lippy in Pink Guava, Strawberry and Watermelon. At first from looking at the balm, I thought it would give a slight tint, but it gives more of a glossy/balmy lipgloss finish like most lipbalms. However, for the moisturizing factor, this lip balm does not live to its claim, in fact the lip balm absorb into my lips very quick and doesn't even leave a little bit of moisture on my lip. Worst of all, this product dries out my lips, making it more thristy for more.
Scent:
The scent of the lip balm smells divine, however, if you are expecting a genuine, true scent of the fruit, then I'm sorry.
Packaging:
To be honest, I wish TBS made this lip balms in stick form a bit more earlier, maybe then, I would give a bit more higher rating for this lip balm. It comes in an adorable, plastic tube with a scew lid, each tub holds 10ml of the product. Even though I never even finished at least a quarter of the tube, I think this tube could possibly last me for at least a year or half.
Ingredients:
Ricinus communis (Castor Oil), Lanolin, Polyglyceryl-3 Beeswax, Aroma, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Hydrogenated Castor Oil), Silica, Benzyl Benzoate, Citrullus vulgaris (Citrullus Vulgaris (Watermelon) Seed Oil), Tocopheryl Acetate, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Benzyl Alcohol, Tocopherol, Methyl 2-Octynoate, CI 77891, CI 19140, CI 15850
Price: AUS$7.95
Repurchase: I don't think so, sorry even though my nose likes you, but my lips don't.
Happy Shopping, hope you find this helpful.

I got a few of these as a birthday gift from a friend.
I'm not a fan of the case, because you have to use your fingers and it could gather germs. And the lip balm itself doesn't do much for moisturizing or protecting your lips.
However, it's just a really fun lip balm! It smells and tastes amazing, very fruity, and adds a decent shine to your lips. All the boys in the classes used to start sniffing the air around them when I get this out to reapply during class. Then it became a tradition for them to just pass my lip balm around and smell it, and get lip-balm-high ( This popular lip balm is the Mango Peach, by the way )

Super fruity. The scent reminds me of starburst sweets. I actually sometimes just get a craving to smell this lip balm for how juicy it is. I have Pink Guava. There can hardly be a girl in the UK who hasn't had one of these lip balms at some point in their life. I remember them being super popular when I was at school.
Pink Guava is pretty much transparent with the lightest pink tint.
I actually really like the consistency of this product and I do find it hydrating as well. It's sort of gloopy but no where near as tacky as some products. It doesn't do that awful gloop thing where you can see the product sticking to itself on the lips when they open/close.
I know some people are reporting a sensitivity to it- it contains lanolin which some people can't tolerate and also the heavy fragrance probably doesn't agree with a lot of people. But for me, it's great! Using it overnight leaves my lips soft and in great condition.
It's only £2, which is hardly anything these days. Vaseline costs as much.
Oh I should also add that I actually find the viscosity of this balm just right to be a great 'mixer' for other lip products. Revlon's Nude Attitude matte lipstick (which is notorious for showing up dry spots, looking dodgy) actually goes so well with this balm for a gorgeous nude lip.

I have the strawberry one and it smells AAAAAAAHHHHHMAZING, but that's it. For a lip balm its performance was mediocre if not below average, and for the scent and the price I could totally deal with that. BUT it gave me a terrible allergic reaction with peeling and bumps and it was just a nightmare. I do have sensitive lips that peel like crazy when I encounter crappy lipsticks, but I have never had such a serious reaction to any lip balm I have tried (from chapstick to high end).
Don't get it at all (not like it's a good lip balm anyway), especially the ladies with sensitive lips.

I found this little thingy tucked in a drawer, collecting dust and being all depressing.
So, I popped the cap and smoothed on a layer of the watermelon flavor, a sheer, pinky gloss. It was surprising thick, not sticky, but thick, and smooth like butter.
The smell was pleasant enough, like watermelon-flavored gum, but it wasn't long before my lips began to peel and get dryer and dryer with every application.
I've had this stuff when I was a kid, pretty cray, right?
And, yes, it does give you a delectable, tasty shine, but it makes your lips soooo dry! It'd only good for playing with when you're a little kiddy, not to become a staple or must-have of any other woman's makeup bag.

I bought this lippy when i was 10, and i got the strawberry one. It does moisturising but slowly fades after 30 minutes or so. It gives me a hint of reddish pink color that looks transparent on your lips, and of course a bit glossy effect. I adore the scent, but when i accidentally licked the balm, the taste is 'oh-so-terrible'. Now i have been using a half jar of it and never touched it again, since i tend to lick my lips everytime.

So I have two of these in the pot form. Raspberry and watermelon.
I really love the smell of both, almost like ring pop candy flavors. They are quite sweet but not too overpowering which I really like. I'm really happy with the effectiveness of these. They last long on my lips and they are super creamy and smooth. In the summer I use them on their own but in the winter I usually wear something stronger underneath them. I don't really love the pot but I always have sanitizer for my hands with me so its not that big of a deal. I f you ever have any problems with flaking lips however, I suggest a soft tooth brush with a bit of lipbalm on your lips and brushing them softly for a few minutes. Home made lip scrubs also work well.

I want to love it but every time i use it my lips start to chap. It dry out my lips a lot, I purchased 3 variant but all of them do that same thing, it's non sticky and quiet moisturizing, smells great, has beautiful color, sadly maybe this isn't a product for me :( the packaging is not that nice, you must use your finger to get into the product, a lil bit unhygienic but I personally love the design, really cute :)

one of my most favorite lip balms! :) it smells so nice and sweet that i cannot stop using it! i smells like really really sugary and matured strawberry that it drives me nuts. the only downside of this product is that it can get quite dirty with germs from my fingers because i have to DIP my finger into the balm to get it on my fingers. other than that, the packaging is quite ok! i love this lip balm and i have used up 3 already, and about to get my 4th born lippy lip balm!

It's annoying that you have to apply from the container with your finger, so bacteria and germs get into the container. I love the scents, but I keep it at home and don't use it on the run, since it's not very hygienic. It did moisturize my lips but i felt, like it didn't absorb. But, because of the ah-mazing scent, I would buy it again. If you have chapped lips, this won't help very much.

I had bought the raspberry one which smells great n it is really nice. They moisturise the lips properly, stays for long. Its teeny tiny bit more on the wallet but it lasts like super long so totally worth it. I would like to use the tube ones now.

I do like the smell of these. It applies smooth and gives a nice shine.
It doesn't last very long though, and is not very moisturising - it doesn't help much at all if I have chapped lips.

I've got these in Strawberry, Satsuma Shimmer and Raspberry (which is my fave). I really like the fragrance and the fact that it gives a nice tinted sheen to my lips (not the satsuma one though). They soften my lips and don't dry them out. TBS also has some of these in a lipstick-like tube and I like those more than the pots.

I got a raspberry lip balm last year when it was on sale. i was going through my makeup the other day and i found it sitting there in a drawer and i started using it because it wanted to get some use out of it before it expired! i guess i forgot how terrible this lipbalm was. i piled on a thick layer before i went to bed and i loved the way it smelled and the gloss and tint it gave off. i woke up with chapped lips! i didnt believe it was this lip balm doing all these horrible things to my lips so i put some more on 20 minutes ago and it just totally disappeared and my lips are dry again. i will not repurchase this product ever again. it regularly costs 7-8 dollars, it is definitely a waste of money :/

This lip balm is nothing special. The smell is nice, but it is very sticky and it dries out my lips. Also dont like little pots for lip products, prefer the stick form.
Nothing I would like to use on a regular basis.

Ive used this product for years and years. It is truly amazing. I honestly can't say one bad thing about it. It isn't sticky at all, almost the consistency of vaseline. It tastes delicious, moisturizes my lips amazingly, and is the only lip gloss I've ever used that is my perfect color. Ive purchased this many many many many times... probably about 12, and I will purchase it until my dying day!

I probably would repurchase this for the smell and the taste. One pot will last you quite a long time. They provide a fair amount of moisture, but there are better lip balms out there. My favourite would be mango followed by raspberry (which smells and tastes like red licorice).

I would never buy any more lipbalms from the body shop. they all tend to make my lips chapped, leaving them feeling a bit flaky for the entire day. But the body lotions and shower gels are of exception. They're great :)
