omg I can't believe I forgot about this.

It was one of my essential products.

I have been having a real problem with red sore sensitive skin around the creases of my nose which I got as a result of using Ren glycolactic radiance renewal mask.

I had been trying stuff without success when I suddenly remembered this. I cleansed and toned then applied this all over my face with a generous amount on the irritated area before going to bed. My skin felt instantly soothed and I was really taken aback when all the redness had gone the next morning. I'm nervous and don't want the sensitivity to come back so I am using this every night for the next while. Decleor recommend using this as a treatment for a week or 2 each month.

I'm so happy to be getting my skin back to its usual self. It is also having dramatic results on the little bumps you get on your forehead. It really is an amazing skin healer purifier. The only downside is the price. It's very expensive at 55 pounds for 30ml. But I will definitely repurchase as a treatment because a little goes a long way.

The texture is unique. It is a concentrated balm containing 100 % natural oils and essential oils. It is designed to be used as a night treatment.

Thank you Decleor :)

This product is quite expensive, but as it lasts for ages it is worth it. ( You only need a tiny amount for your whole face.) Over to what it actually does for my skin. This is one of my favorites! I have combination skin, dehydrated with acne and quite sensitive, too. I use this balm every night and it really makes my skin look much better. It calms red spots from my acne, dehydrates my thirsty skin and calms down my whole face after a stessfull day. Although I have reacted on other products from Decleor, my sensitive skin loves this. Some people might react on this product, so I would recommand you to try a sample first, as I said it is quite expensive so it would be wasted money if you react on it.

I have gone through a couple of these over the years. I love how calm it feels on my skin. It smells a lot, quite nice actually, but I'd prefere it not to have such a strong scent. I use it at night, and sometimes if I'm really sore or dry I use it at daytime, however you can not use it under make-up because it's way to greasy. This is one of the few skin products that I can feel actually working on my skin, so I probably will buy it again. However, it is really expensive and it does not last very long, and I don't like the packaging and the lid on this product.

It did not work for me. Made me break out SO bad, I have never had cystic acne on my face before trying this product. I have stopped it for a month and am still getting occasional breakouts. However, my new Lancome Genefique serum is helping with that. I think if your skin is more mature, it'll work better for you. I have given mine to my mother and she seems to like it. My skin is combination, oily around t-zone and dry else where. I usually only ever get chin and forehead breakouts - and that was seldom.

My HG for night treatment. I wake up and my skin looks perfect and glowing and flawless. Smells wonderful and love the balmy texture that soaks right in by rubbing it between my palms until it warms and I pat in (instead of massaging it in like package says) and voila, it is heaven. Only use 1x/week during summer alone, nothing else with it; every other night during winter rotating with an anti-aging wrinkle cream or targeted skin treatment.

I adore this product! I already owned the Ylang Ylang night balm (for oily skin) but after reading the reviews on MUA (and finding it at a vastly discounted price on Strawberrynet) I couldn't resist.

I have quite oily skin (which fortunately doesn't break out very often) - before discovering the Decleor range, I'd have an oil-slick for a face by 10am.

I apply the tiniest amount and find that by morning it's sunk right in, leaving me with beautiful, matte, glowy skin. Because I own both, I alternate the Essentiel balm with the Ylang Ylang and my skin seems to work really well with this combination (although I do notice on the nights I use the Essentiel, my skin looks better in the morning).

It's expensive, but I totally recommend buying it in the 100ml jar. One jar will seriously last a couple of years - I've used it every night for 4 months and I've barely scraped the top off it.

Will definately buy again once I (eventually) run out!

This is the best night care product I've used on my face. I have skin that is prone to breakouts from oily products but this really provides perfect balance. The smell is definitely an acquired taste but once it sinks into the skin I hardly notice it. I feel that this product has cleared my pores out and made my skin feel smoother... I'd definitely recommend it to people with normal/combination skin like mine.

I apply it using a tiny bit, rubbing it between my palms rapidly until its warm and then massaging it into my face. It feels weird but calming. Great product, I'm so glad I tried it.

EDIT: Ok, I don't like the smell, so I stopped using it for a while. Funnily enough, I started getting a lot more pimples again, which I'd forgotten I got so badly since it's been so long since I haven't used this. Definitely a keeper :) a few days later, the redness has calmed down and no new pimples are forming.

I bought this product after hearing raves about this product. I have acne prone skin and its dry. The first time I used it i thought it was good but then couple of days later i broke out. then i used it again and broke out further. not sure its great for acne prone skin and i would recommend getting a sample of possible due to the high price. I think its a great product if it works on your skin sadly not for sensitive acne prone.

I love this product! It does not burn on my skin, and it calmes down my red cheeks and hydrates my dehydrated skin. It is really expensive where I live, but I will definetly repurchase over and over again, couse it is the most amazing thing ever. Would have preferred it in a tube though... Totally lovable product, does not break me out either. I have sensitive skin, and my skin does not in any way get irritated by this. Looooove!

My skin tends more towards the dry/dehydrated with the occasional blemish. I find this amazing product really helps. It is a waxy texture inside quite a deceptively small pot. You only need to use a tiny bit which you take out with the small spatula included. The colour is like a pale yellow with a strong scent of neroli, the scent of essential oils is very apparent and one that I am still getting used to.
I purchased this product on the recommendation of a friend and she bought me a Decleor gift set for Christmas, I had just gotten over a very nasty bout of flu and my skin as you can imagine looked appalling and pasty and dry. I really noticed an improvement over the next week and it really helped to give my skin back a healthy look and it made it feel very soft and smooth.
This product really plumps and rehydrates the skin, gives it a healthy looking glow, it seems to protect the skin, it provides a barrier between your skin and the environmental toxins and stresses that the skin is exposed to. Although the pot is tiny it should last a good six months because you only need a very small amount Although quite expensive, this is an investment product and one that my skin definitely appreciates. I will definitely buy it again.

I am now completely in love with decleor, love their scents and the result. the balm is one of the best products. I have been using it for 1 week only but can already say how great it is. The texture is wax-like and you should either warm it between your fingers or in the palm of your hand and only then apply onto your face, and you need a really small amount of the balm. the skin feels more supple and as I've started using it in winter can say that it greatly protects my skin from the cold (considering that I live in Russia where winters are very severe)

I love love this product. I was searching for a night cream, that gives me just enough moisturize, and finally I find the essential balm.
It brights up my face, as well as balance my skin (no more oily T-zone) in the morning.

I love decleor products and this is one of hte best.

You need such a small amount almost the size of a grain of rice - rub yuor plams together and gently press onto the skin. You shouldnt be seeing a oil slick on your face - if you do you are using way too much.

A 15ml pot looks small but should last about 6 months if you finish any earlier than this you are using too much. Also this is our night cream so you dont use a night cream on top of this.

Expect some break outs when you first use it but then you will get radiant skin.

To the reviewer who said they use this and have oily/sensitive skin & using rose oil - YOU ARE USING THE WRONG OIL FOR YOUR SKIN - you are using something for dry skin 0 try using the ylang ylang or neroli oil

This is now known as Aromessence Neroli Essential Night Balm (I guess to fall in line with the Neroli Aromessence oil?). It is to help purify, balance and brighten the complexion and although touted as suitable for all skin stypes, I have oily skin and want to address clogged/blocked pores and spots (headless, red lumpy ones and those nasty pus filled ones).

The first time I used this I thought it made everything look so much worse, my skin was just as oily first thing the next morning and spots looked redder, the clogged pores worse and I was seriously disheartened. My cheeks looked irritated and the headless spots were tender. I thought is this a purging (does that even happen?) so I stuck with it. On day 4 in the morning a few spots on my apples of my cheeks had literally gone, not a trace - the lumps and redness had actually vanished - not reduced or lessened but GONE. There were no new clogs (like I find every morning) and it just looked so much more improved. I would not go so far as to claim any radiance or a rested look and I have a long way to go before this becomes a must have item but the outlook is promising. I will update after another week. It sinks right into my skin (no greasy appearance, no residue) and my skin feels comfortable.

EDIT TO ADD - I have found this works better for me if I use only on the most congested areas and not all over my face. I also use it in conjunction with the Ylang Ylang balm and so far (a week before my TOTM) my cheeks are clearing up and less red, the clogs are easy to extract and not as severe/lumpy. Fingers crossed this continues to show improvements. It also shrank a nasty headless spot lump on my forehead!! However I cannot use this too often, it seems my skin is happiest when I do not use anything on it overnight :(

I currently use Dr Hauschka Lavender Bath, Cleansing Cream, Moisturising Day Cream, Normalising Day Oil and Decleor's Matifying Lotion and once a week: Origins Modern Friction.

My skin is quite sensitive, oily at times, but with dry patches. I have a tendency to getting cystic pimple specially when stressed out. Over the years through the use of AHA, glycolic acids, coupled with birth control pills my skin has stabilized, but I am not satisfied with the texture, it just doesn't feel supple, plump and soft, though having no pimples was a big victory for me. Thanks for MUA, and to my courage for trying out this balm--I am wary of anything with oil because I know my skin condition. Now, my skin has that healthy glow and is soft. But in my case though, I think i went through a purging process on existing whiteheads, they became softer and i was able to squeeze them out easily. At least now they are gone. I am using this product 3 times a week, like a deep conditioner, since I am using their rose facial oil everyday. My instincts tell me not to use too much though.

Update: Though I still love this product, I can't use it everyday. My skin has a lot of issues and I need a skin care routine that's more of a 'treatment' for my condition, this product is more of a treat--it's a real pleasure to use-- so I just use this occasionally.

I had a facial and the esthetician used this balm on my skin. She actually put a little in a jar for me to take home as I had a few blemishes on my chin that I had picked at and was left with some dry skin and redness. This stuff is absolutely amazing. It does not feel greasy even though it adds a layer of dewy moisture on your skin. A tiny bit covers your whole face...just massage it onto dry clean skin and then proceed with your regular skin care regime. It is by far one of the best products I have ever tried on my skin. I ran out of the sample that I had and ordered a large salon size jar on the Internet that I am anxiously awaiting delivery of. The dry, red patches on my chin are completely gone and my skin has never looked so good. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for women in their 40's (and older) who are starting to experience dryness and small lines.

I have nothing to add, girls with positive reviews have said everything about this product. So,I got few samples of this as a gift from lady where I buy my other Decleor products.Yes,this is very pleasent balm to my nose,face..everything.My regular Decleor balm is one for oily face with ylang-ylang,but I was replacing this one with that one from time to time.I must admit, maybe this version of balm is even better than the other one with ylang-ylang,because this has better nourishing properties + it didn't broke me out at all, what I was expecting. But I will stick with ylang-ylang balm, because I don't wanna take any possible risk of getting pimples, plus ylang-ylang balm is more suitable for oily skin like mine.So I stay with other version of this balm.
I will probably buy this balm in my 30 years of age, when it will be more suitable for my skin than it's actually now.Miracle stuff, worth every single penny.

I first used this when I had to fly to North Dakota last winter. Normally, I apply a heavy moisturizer when I fly to ensure my skin doesn't dry out, especially on long haul flights. Well, I was not prepare for the harsh winter weather and my skin was just peeling off and red. I remembered I had this in my bag and applied it. There was no stinging upon application and it made my skin very nice and soft. Yes, it is weird to work with such a solid waxy product but once you get used to scooping out the required product with the spatula and warming it between your hands, it isn't a bother at all. Personally, I love the smell but others might not. I now keep some of this around all the time in case my skin gets extra rough. It is truly a skin saver when faced with really dry, harsh, cold conditions. I don't know if I would use it every day though.
