I love this palette! To me the colours looks even better in person. My first impression when I got the palette was 'packaging is nice but looked better in pictures', then 'whoa - the shadows are beautiful!' So far my favourite colour is that rose colour. It flashes hints of gold and is a great subtle wash over my eye area. I blend the teal over the crease and it creates a purplish shadow.
The palette does not have a highlighter shade, however, I just recently got Fleur de Terre, which was 75% highlighter shadows on me, so I don't really need another.
The cream works well as a liner although it doesn't have the best consistency. Surprisingly, I really like that brush liner as it draws the thinnest line of any liner brush I have.
Edit: After collecting more palettes, I realize I prefer quads over 8 colours.... and the fact that there is no highlighter colours makes this a little harder to blend. This is a good palette if you want monocoloured lids without definition.

i bought this not for the packaging. one of the selling points of this palette is it's packaging. i rather have a palette that looks either really cute or really classy - this is neither i find it to be quite tacky for this price.
apart from that, the eyeshadows are amazing. i couldn't afford to buy 3 so i made my pick and chose this as they aren't colours that i have. Got them for AUD79. has 7 eye shadows and 1 liner for you to play with.
as with any shu uemura eye shadows, they are pigmented. quite smooth texture and blends quite well. the great thing about the colours are that although they seem to be grouped in two the colours work well with each other across the board. i'm bad at describing colours but you have a lot of variety with this one.

I love the colors in this palatte. There are many different combinations and looks that can be made. The teal color is by far my favorite and i love to mix it with the black cream liner in the set to make a dark teal liner. Will repurchase if i can get my hands on another one.

i bought Midnight Sakura the moment it was launched in Malaysia.
I swatched all colours, and they are all very pigmented, and the texture is silky smooth!
For the price I paid (RM195), it's pretty pricey, but for the quality, it beats a lot of other brands :)
Packaging wise, I only like Midnight Sakura, not so much on Marguerite or Rose. They look a bit tacky to me. But I will be getting Secret Luscious Rose, it's too pretty!
Marguerite's colour is a little too bold for my taste, so I'll be skipping that.

I went crazy and bought all three of shu uemura's holiday palettes- what was I thinking? I don't have any regrets thus far because the shades in this palette are magnificent...the price kills, but the quality and color combination are stunning. I don't normally invest in shu e/s unless they are on sale or are in a palette because I don't like the packaging. This palette is a great buy not only for the quality of shadows, but the packaging as well. I don't think I'll need a backup since I doubt I'll be able to get through all the colors in my lifetime!

Pretty pretty! This metal palette contains 7 eyeshadows: Yellow-gold, taupey brown, peachy orange, khaki green, blackened teal, peacock blue and metallic cool pink. Also comes with a blackened violet cream eyeshadow/liner. The powders are pigmented and soft. The cream shadow doesn't quite show up well as a liner though. Overall this is a good quality palette that gives a variety of looks. Comes with a dual ended brush.
