Love the smell of this product and the exfoliating beeds. It's like a mud masks. However, it doesn't work for acne prone skin, it makes it worse. Would be great if you don't have acne cause it cleanses nicely and keeps your skin fresh looking.

It might work well for some people, but for me it turned my already oily skin into a complete oil slick. After just a few days of use, my make-up would end up sliding off my face after only a few hours. While I will admit that my skin may have looked a bit brighter, I was starting to get little pimples where I don't usually get them. I am also not willing to live with a slimy, sticky face.

This product was hard for me to find, but I finally found it at Ulta. I decided to try it because I have HUGE pores and have always had issues with blackheads in my T-Zone. I read that this cleanser works really well for that exact issue. For the first 2 weeks, I thought it was working great. What I didn't realize was that it was not deep cleaning my pores at all. After 4 weeks of using this, I'm starting to notice that my pores are REALLY congested. Even pores up high on my cheeks where I don't usually get black heads. As well, my skin is really starting to get rough, I assume due to the twice daily exfoliating from this product, which is probably way too much for anyone's face!
I also find that it really doesn't foam or lather at all, making it much more of a cream cleanser than a foaming one.
Throw another one on the bone pile. :(

I was not impressed with this cleanser. The cleanser lathers well on the face, but its texture is too creamy and thick for my taste. Also, the product has tiny beads for exfoliating benefits. This immediately turned me off the product, as it is not good to exfoliate the face every day. Exfoliating too frequently can be harsh on the skin. So, I do not approve this product as an everyday cleanser.

Possibly one of the worst cleansers I've used. My skin is dry though, so this might be why - choosing the wrong cleanser for my skin type. I'm sick of the smell, and I hate to throw it away, but I just can't use it anymore. It did absolutely nothing for my face.

I really liked this cleanser it smelled great, clean well and loved the micro-beads, unfortunately I continued to have my monthly breakouts. I have recently found something that did work for me (Nadinola Cleansing Skin Cream) it just wasn't this product.
With facial care ranging person to person it's nice that you can get this product at your local grocery or drugstore to try it out. Both places have it on sale a few times a year and there is always a coupon in the Sunday paper. I would recommend this product, it's just not for me.

Love love love!!
Best cleanser I have ever used (and like many women, I've tried my share....$ and $$$)
I have a combination skin, and sensitive. I scrub one or two times a week depending on the season. I don't have acne anymore.
This cleanser is GREAT. Removes all the makeup, leave the skin smooth, pores are invisible after 3 uses, skin is glowing.
Will never never change. Please l'Oreal do not stop making those or I'll go to France and bang on the factory's door.

I'm suprised to see that there are only 7 reviews for this product, but not surprised at the high rating! I waited until I was on my third tube of this awesome cleanser to review it - I wanted to be sure I liked it. And I really like it! I wanted something "creamy" for the winter months, but my break-out prone skin generally needs something "foamy" to feel clean, and I sometimes find that the cream cleasers leave a residue feeling on my skin. This is the perfect combination of foamy and creamy - plus the added bonus of a little exfoliation! The fragrance is light - I hardly notice it. Just a little dime-sized dab will spread out nicely over your face, gently rub it in, and enjoy the creamy foaminess. As others have said, if you are washing over the sink, you may have to rinse an extra time or so to get it all off (the clay in this cleanser can cling!) but it does rinse completely off and I don't mind an extra splash or two of water. In the shower it doesn't matter. Sometimes I swipe a cotton ball with toner on after I wash my face, and there is never any make-up on the cotton ball - this stuff gets everything off! I have been using this since last November, every day - morning and night - and I've it didn't cause breakouts, my skin is calm, clear, and happy. It doesn't leave my skin feeling dry and tight if I don't moisturize right away, which I think is a good sign - especially in these harsh winter months! I will use this year-round. I have stashed a few back up tubes of this in case it's discontinued - I hope not! Try this cleanser!

I used this product months ago and and discontinued using it. Now I can't wait to go back to this cleanser. When I was using it, I noticed that my skin was much brighter, and smoother. I was afraid of having breakouts but thank God that this product didn't aggrivate my skin. It really cleaned my pores and did not dry out my face. I will go back to this product, as soon as I finish my St. Ives Aricot cleanser (which I also love).

Smells great and I loved it after i used it the first time. My pores appeared smaller and my skin was super smooth! but by day 2 of using it, I started breaking out with 3 big painful zits along my chin area... I have somewhat acne prone skin but with gentle enough cleansers, i have clear skin. So unfortunately, this was not a good match for my skin.

Before I actually used this, I was really impressed.
However, upon use, like the gel cleanser, it's WAY drying. It just works too good... DEEP purifying is right (and if you want even deeper try the gel cleanser). Left my face feeling stripped after I rinsed it off. It does an ok job of exfoliating, but not that deep. I'll take walnut powder based products over this. The menthol and fragrance were not needed either. Though I do really like how it smells.

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. After looking at the reviews on MUA, I decided to give this cleanser a try since Cetaphil and other gentle facial cleanser for sensitive skin didn't help my acne much. I've tried using products made specifically for acne, but my face couldn't handle the harsh chemicals. Anyway, I use this every other day or once a day and it helps. :) I don't use anything else except toner sometimes and lotion.

Ok, I sort of love this product. It's been exactly a week that I've had this now and my skin looks great! I actually think the smell is nice, I don't find it too strong at all. I have ezcema - although my face is less sensitive than my body - and I haven't had any irritation issues. AND it's been a very very cold week, and my skin doesn't feel drier at all from using this, which is actually sort of odd since it has the clay in it.
In any case...This cleanser makes my skin feel wonderful, and I can visibly see the difference - it looks smoother and has that youthful glow you always see in the ads (where they use an 18 year old to promote a product that promises youthful results - go figure). I know that at 27 and a nonsmoker/avid sunscreen user, I should have fairly radiant skin anyway, and for the most part it's not too bad...but I really notice I've got that 'lit from within' thing going on ever since I have been using this product. It really does reveal 'fresher' skin, as it states!
The actually physical scrub component is very very gentle, IMO, but just enough to feel like it's not useless. I don't find the wash stings or tingles at all when I use it, and it rinses away well. I use Cetaphil over my entire face first just to essentially remove my makeup, before using this (avoiding the eye area). Rinse, et voila! Clear, soft, smooth skin! I had planned on buying the Microdelivery wash that Philosophy has, but this is MUCH cheaper and I'm sure works every bit as well! Definitely a repurchase, and in terms of skincare, that's saying something, because I'm always off hunting for something better :)

I really wanted this product to work for me based on the success others on MUA have had with it. It was on sale at CVS for 4 bux so I bought it. I like how the scrub feels. Compared to other scrubs like St. Ives and Clinique Exfoliator, this cream cleanser has just enough scrubbie action. The kaolin clay in it is great for those with oily skin. I actually think my skin would have tollerated this cleanser if it weren't for the OVERWHELMING fragrance and the addition of menthol. It smells like cheap perfume. I have sensitive skin and whenever I used this my face burned and turned red. I suggest sensitive skin gals stay away from this product. It has sulfates, as well. May be better for use in the summer, as it was a little drying for me.

I'm looking at my skin in the mirror about an hour after I used this product. It is seems a little more glowy and smooth, yes but also slightly and my acne does not feel too good. I realize now that my sensitive acne-prone skin does not deal with scrubs well, no matter how small the granules may be. It's probably also my fault for using it again so soon. On the other hand, my pores felt clearer, but this is just too irritating to use probably more than once a week. I initially bought this to deal with some congested pores on my cheeks that made my skin look chicken skin on my cheeks and I feel that it may help with that. Not a complete loss.
Formula has microbeads, clay and BHA to clean skin. I had to be extra gentle because the scrubs felt a little harsh on my skin, It's hard to wash off too (I used mine in the shower) and doesn't foam well, would not recommend for makeup removal, just treatment although the directions say to use daily

My HG cleanser! I am so, so, so glad I found this product! I was in Wal-Mart two weeks ago exactly and was looking for a new cleanser, so I busted out the iPhone and went straight to MUA lol. I saw this product setting on the shelf and decided to look up the reviews on it and I am so glad I did! At first I was a little worried about even buying it because of the "polishing micro beads" that are in it, I figured that it would be way too harsh on my very dry, sensitive skin even though the product says that it is for all skin types. Because as alot of you probably know, most dermatologists don't really recommend exfoliators for dry skin. However, I decided "what the heck...why not, I'll give it a try just for the heck of it" (it was on sale lol) and very surprisingly to me, this cleanser did not dry my skin out in the SLIGHTEST. I mean, not even a *little* bit! And my skin is really, really dry and sensitive. I love the smell, I love the packaging, I love the price, but most importantly I love the RESULTS! My skin feel soo soft after I was my face. It feels clean and polished and does not have that awful "tight" feeling afterwards. I have noticed a HUGE difference in my pore size...they are much, much smaller than they were two weeks ago when I first started using this product. Also, my skin is unbelievably more smooth than it was two weeks ago. For some reason I had these little bumps on my skin...not pimples...I actually have no idea what they were...but they were just there and they never went away. My skin just wasn't smooth in some places. Thankfully, this cleanser has taken care of that and now all the bumps are practically gone and the ones that are still there are DRAMATICALLY smaller and I'm sure that they will disappear in time too! I just can't say enough good about this product...I absolutely love it! And I honest to goodness cannot see myself using any other cleanser besides this one for as long as they make it, which I hope is forever! Let me add in that I did just recently try the gel version of this and I was not pleased AT ALL. It dried out my skin and made my moisturizer burn my skin pretty badly (weird, I know)...but for more information on that you can read my actual review for the gel version of this. Anyway, this is BY FAR my HG cleanser and I don't see myself switching for a very long time...maybe never! Why mess with a good thing, right? :) I love it and I truly do recommend it for ALL skin types...and yes, even dry, sensitive skin like mine...just try it! :)

Yes, it is great. Some may find it a bit drying, I have combination skin and it feels pretty tight after using this, but so far so good. I use this on bare skin, and I use the L'Oreal Pore Minimizing gel cleanser when I have makeup on, or want to gently cleanse. I was so impressed with these two cleansers I branched out to more products in the Skin Genesis line and am really happy with everything so far. No breakouts, and my skin seems oddly happy.

I've been using Avene, but I wanted to switch to something cheaper that would cleanse my skin even deeper, but still not irritate my skin.
After spending a LOT of time browsing through MUA, I decided to buy this cleanser.
It.is.fantastic. FANTASTIC.
I have dry skin on my forehead, the largest pores you've ever seen on my nose and cheeks, and big bumps on my chin area with the occasional huge whitehead. Oh, and lots of blackheads sprinkled all over.
From the very first wash (which was an absolute pleasure), this cleanser removed a LOT of the gunk I had in my pores, so after 4 washes they look almost invisible, I swear.
I make it a point to NEVER touch my skin, but it leaves it soooooo soft that I sometimes can't help it, and neither can my boyfriend.
I detest scrubs for the most part (I only use apricot scrub for my knees and elbows), but the microbeads are so small and soft that I actually appreciate them.
Finally, the smell is just to die for, so faint and delightful.
I bought it for 8 dollars, I'll never spend $25 on a cleanser again. EVER.
Thanks for the recommendation, ladies. You just saved me a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$!

I like this a lot. Like others, I wasn't quite sure when I first started using it, but now I'm hooked. I work for a major high-end skin care company (marketing), and I have an arsenal of cleansers from just about every skincare/cosmetics company on the planet. I'm a junkie when it comes to skincare products, and I can't keep my credit card to myself when I walk into a salon, spa, department store, or even Target. I got sucked in by the packaging. It's a pretty metallic pink tube, and from the research I had done, the Skin Genesis line seemed to be a match for my skin type, but so is the RevitaLift line. My skin is combination, oily in the t-zone, and dry on cheeks, and I am now starting to show signs of aging. I'm often mistaken for late 20's or early 30's, but I have been using Retin-A for almost 30 years (It was for acne back then, and I just never cared to find out how my skin would behave without it!) This cleanser has clay in it, so it has the feel and texture of a clay mask (think Queen Helene mint julip mask when you first buy it, and before it goes dry), and not so much a cream cleanser. I have hard water, so it doesn't really foam much for me, and I use a Clarisonic, too. The kind of water you have makes a difference in the kind of lather you will get from a cleanser, so it will probably lather well if you have soft water. I do get a little sting when I put it on my face, but I like that, and I do use Retin-A, so I expect it, but it's nothing that makes me reach for a washcloth to get it off my face. It has BHA and the dreaded micro-polishing beads, that many people hate. I really wish they would call it an exfoliating cleanser rather than a cream cleanser, because it's not creamy, and I expect a cream cleanser to be creamy, and I expect an exfoliating cleanser to be exactly like this, a bit gritty. It is in no way scary/painful gritty like an apricot scrub. I have been using this for about 6 weeks, and I expect this tube should last another 2 weeks, before I repurchase, and I will be repurchasing this cleanser. It rinses easily, and doesn't leave a film behind, and that is important to me when dealing with cleansers. I hate 'the film'. This is an excellent daily cleanser for normal to oily/acne prone skin, but I wouldn't recommend it to those with dry or sensitive skin, because I would believe that it could be too much, even though the product states 'for all skin types'. L'Oreal did a good job with this product. It's department store quality, without the department store price tag. You can pick it up for around $5.00 if you download a coupon from the L'Oreal website, and that makes it cheaper than buying one of their lipsticks. EDIT 1/29/10-I get a creepy feeling that L'Oreal is about to discontinue this cleanser. I'm having a difficult time finding it, and I live in a major U.S. city. I was wondering why everyone had it on sale, for a while there. L'Oreal just came out with a new line of cleansers that have a little rubber scrubbie, and I hope that isn't what they want me to buy now! Why would I want a little rubber scrubbie when I have a Clarisonic? I went and scored me 4 tubes of this from drugstore.com, where it was on sale, as well. I really hope they don't discontinue this product.
