I really wanted to love this l/s, but unfortunately, I felt like it washed me (NC30, brown hair and eyes) out. It probably would have been better for me if it wasn't quite so frosty.
If you are like me and prefer your l/s to be moderately bright or at least to tone your lips up rather than fade them down, then I'd suggest giving this one a miss.
On the other hand, if you veer more towards the smokey-eye, pale lip combination, then this is a beautiful bronzey-peach tone that would probably suit you!
Oh, I should probably mention that I only have tried the version that came in the cardboard casing. So, if the one in the metal tubing is darker, I'm definitely going to have to try it out! :)

A m/u artist at Sephora chose this color for me (along with a Lorac blush in Peach), applied both, and looked fabulous together. Now I normally don't wear coppery-colored anything (clothes included), but I really liked how this looked on me with my coppery-red hair, pale skin and blue/grey eyes (I wear Stila's 'Kitten' shadow) that really perkes up my complexion. A nice, creamy, slighty shimmery lipcolor that I can wear everyday. And like many of the reviwers here, I prefer the 'metal' tube to that crappy cardboard anyday!

Jane's a peachy pink lippie that's one of Stila's shimmers (if you've got their lippies in the aluminium tubes the shimmers are the ones with stars on the inner tube. The creams are plain and the sheers have a floral design). One of the reasons why I like this shade is that it is more glowy rather than shimmery. The effect is almost like wearing a lip gloss, but with better staying power. The colour itself is a great alternative to a nude lippie as it has a bit more depth of colour to it, so it really warms up my face, even in winter. A good option for teaming with a smoky eye if nude lip colours tend to wash you out.

This is a pretty natural color. Kinda peachy pink and its great for the summer. The only thing I don't like about this l/s is the frost. I always find Stila products to be too frosty. I usually put a light gloss (almost clear) on top and the frost somehow disappears so its not a problem anymore. But I won't rebuy due to the frost. I'm sure there is something out there with the same color sans frost.

A nice nude lipstick. A bit on the frosty side so I always have to make sure to blot it after applying. The packaging is cheap cardboard which would be fine if the product inside was cheap too but when paying this much I expect a little more.

This is just lovely! A beautiful, natural, warm, slightly bronzed pinkish-peachy shade. Complements my fair, warm-toned skin perfectly for a natural yet defined daytime look. My new favourite lippie!

I recieved Jane in a discounted Stila Kit, so I definetly can't complain about the price. The product itself is a pretty peachy nude on my medium pigmented lips, though quite drying. I have to be careful to apply with a light hand as well, or else it's a tad too dark to appear natural. It contains a bit of subtle shimmer and is pretty with a shiny gloss over it. I have been in the mood for more bright, peachy tones lately (NARS The Multiple in Portofino, anyone?) so Jane has gotten a little ignored. I will probably come back to it though and use up the tube, since it is pretty and compliments my medium beige skintone. I'd have to say I wouldn't buy again at this point, although that could change.

I thought this shade would be too brown or pale on me, but it shows up on my pale lips as a slightly frosty peach nude--just enough color not to look washed out. That said, I'd only buy it in summer, since it looks nice against my tan, but is not colorful enough for winter.

I can't say enough good things about this shade! I'm sorta obsessed right now with peachy-pink champagne-ish colors right now, which describes this to a T. Not exactly a nude or YLBB shade, but the subtlest pop of color for the times when my MAC Hug Me seems underdone, esp since its the dead of winter here in NE Ohio, and when you go outside EVERYTHING, including people, is a dull gray, and this, along with Stila Rose cheek pan, really puts some life back into my face. Try it with contour liner #1 with a tiny dab of Enchanting It Gloss!

Jane is a shimmery pink color. I wear it almost every day with gloss over it. I thought $16.50 was a very reasonable price, and the new aluminum tube is great. I would buy this again but in a different color, because this one is a little too light for me.

I swear the color of this has changed since they put it in the new packaging. My old one was, just as described below, similar to Clinique Bamboo Pink only lighter and peachier. It was like a light peachy nude shimmer. This one is darker and pinker, more of a pinky-peach-bronzy-nude. I no longer have my old one in the cardboard to compare, but I just swear I remember it going on much lighter than this. ANYWAY, I really like this lipstick either way. It's a great, soft, professional neutral color for my cool PPP complexion, and the lasting power is fabulous- will last me for 3-4 hours sitting at my desk constantly drinking soda. I would definitely repurchase this if I ever ran out, especially now that they've FINALLY caught on and changed the packaging of the lipsticks.

"Jane" is a shimmering (in that slightly frosty/pearly, wet-looking kinda way) light pink, neutral-to-cool-toned. I did not see any peach or bronze here, just a light petal pink with a touch of gold shimmer. It's pretty but didn't do much for me (LLL/AAB) except lighten my lip color a notch. I imagine it'd look perfectly ethereal on the right, fair blonde person. Texture is a wee bit too slippery and slick for me--it slides off very quickly and needs to be reapplied frequently. Fortunately, I have this in the newer metal tube so no complaints about the packaging really.

Unlike previous rewiers, I did detect a bit of a smell to this lisptick. It's not the usual "lipstick smell". It's something else, I can't quite put my finger on it. I received this brand new in a swap and I'm quite happy with it. This is a bronzy/peachy/pink shimmer color, not quite YLBB but it's not too light or drastically different from my natural lip color. I'm trading in my MAC Sandy B for this, I like the shade much better! Price is a little higher than MAC and other lines, but I really do like this shade. Looks great under NARS Orgasm gloss.

This is my first Stila l/s, I received it in a swap and really love it. Jane is a peach nude with a faint shimmer: I have very pigmented lips and nude l/s usually are too light and make me washed out, but this one suits me perfectly. It's also long lasting, which I appreciate. I take off one lippie because I don't like the cardboard packaging that much and I find this l/s to be a little too drying, but overall it's a lovely product.

turns out this lipstick is just a hair darker than my lips. I imagine this would be very pretty and natural for someone without pigmented lips though :) Love the texture and the new metal packaging. But back to the store it goes.

My feelings about this lipstick are similar to other reviewers. Jane is a pretty shade in the tube, but applied to my lips it really doesn't do much for me. It's a peachy nude shimmer, similar to Clinique's Bamboo Pink but lighter and peachier. Very pretty, but when worn alone it seems to wash me out. As someone below mentioned, it is definitely much prettier with Stila's No. 16 lip liner, which "pinks" it up a bit.

Very creamy-feeling lipstick--comfortable to wear. The color is a shimmery peachy-pink; I can wear it with either pinkish or peachish lipliners to tip the color to the right tone. A few reviews have noted the cheap cardboard tube, but Stila has switched to a metal (hard plastic? looks metal) tube.

before you read my review you should know that i'm biased, there are very few stila lipsticks & eyeshadows that i don't like. jane is such a pretty nude lipstick, long-lasting with no taste or smell. i don't detect any pink in the shade that another reviewer mentioned, it seems to be a very neutral brown/caramel shade. i didn't detect any orange in it either. i got this with the its in the can set from sephora in early dec. and didn't even use it until a few months ago. i love love love it, along with all the other stila lipsticks i own.

Jane lipstick looks like the perfect nude pink lipstick. I absolutely think it looks gorgeous in the tube. However on me, it kinda turns a peachy terracotta shade with orangey red undertones. Not at all like the tube looks. Its really disappointing too. Comes packaged in a cardboard silver tube that is cheap. No scent and the formula is really pigmented and slightly drying but not too bad. This color is ok on my NC30 light olive skin but not a favorite.

This color, imo, is dull and boring. It looks bronze in the tube, but on me it looks frosty, muddy and blah. It's also moderately dry. Because of the price and the reputation of Stila, I expected better.
