I love this product. My hand are soft like baby hands when I use it. The more I use it, the better (softer, paler, younger) my hands are. I love the smell. It is quite strong, but not intoxicating. I prefer a 500ml bottle because it has a pump and it makes the use hygienic.

Will I buy it again? I already purchased 2 x 500ml bottles:)

The scent on this hand balm is so refreshing (mandarin ring, rosemary leaf, and cedarwood atlas). It's very different from other hand creams/balms in the market since it doesn't strike you as being overtly feminine or masculine in nature.

Best part of this is that it's absorbed really quickly and doesn't leave as much of an oily feeling like all the other hand creams I've tried. At the same time, it manages to moisturise my skin more than other creams I've tried. (I've had a dry patch of skin on the back of my hand for a while, and other hand creams didn't really do much for it. This one does.)

My only quibble would be that for the price, I would have expected slightly better packaging. It comes in a metal tube which is really sturdy, but if you've been keeping it for a while, sometimes the bent corners of the tube start to crack and the hand balm leaks out. It's a fairly large tube (75ml), so it also takes up space in my bag. It would have been nice if Aesop made smaller tubes of these...

I love the citrus scent of this hand cream (main reason why I bought it). I also love that it's non greasy, even though it doesn't moisturize that well. I don't mind re-applying it throughout the day.

I also found that the 75ml tube is a bit big to carry around, so I've decanted some into a small container.

Will definitely repurchase!

I bought my mum and myself a 75ml tube each and we both love it! Although the scent in strong, it really does 'resurrect' your hands, absorb quickly and doesn't leave your hands greasy. I also love the packaging- it really brings back that old school medicinal feel and at the bottom of my hand balm, they have a quote from T.S Eliot... I thought it was nice, quirky touch :)

Product comes in 3 sizes (as shown on their website): 75, 120, and 500mL tubes/jars. As many have said, it is expensive but don't be put off by the prices, you really are paying for quality and a product that works.

Plus, it's always good to spoil yourself once in a while ^_^

First came across this product while on holiday in Melbourne.
I was in a friends house and she handed me this large jar of this hand creme, and from the moment I smelt it, I was hooked.
It's not just the smell, it's how nourishing it is too. But the smell is divine; uplifting, and very aromatic. It's made of many natural ingredients which I love but my favourite is the mandarin- you get it straight away it's gorgeous!

Uber expensive though, thats my problem. But if you want a bit of luxury in a creme, get it. It lasts a while.

This is a beautiful, hydrating, wonderful smelling and non-greasy hand moisturiser.
I love the scent, and find it completely uplifting and therapeutic.

Very beautiful product and I would definately pruchase again.

I have fallen in love with this hand cream. I love the scent even though I don't usually like aromatherapy scents. I find myself re-applying it during the day just so that I can enjoy the lovely mandarin rind, rosemary and cedarwood scent.

I like that this cream is non-greasy and even if I wash my hands later, I can't feel that oily feeling that other hand creams sometimes leave. Instead I'm left with a nice 'clean' feeling to my hands and my hands feel more supple. My hands look better already!

I would describe it as a 'light' hand cream for every day use. I'm not sure that this would have much effect on really dry, cracked or chapped hands but for every day moisturising, you can't beat this product. I bought the tube. If you buy the tube, I think you have to be careful that the product doesn't get squashed in your handbag and leak out as the cream is quite light and runny.

I would definitely buy again.

Love the scent!
Like the fact that it does not leave a greasy feeling but then it doesn't do much to moisturise my hands either. Have to keep reapplying the lotion. I prefer Burt's Bees Hand Salve which leaves my hands feeling silky soft and better moisturised.
Hate the packaging. Bought the 120ml in a glass bottle form which is horribly inconvenient to carry around.
If you want different smells and feel on different days, you can consider purchasing this. Otherwise, don't bother.

I received a 2 ml sample sachet of this hand-cream during my last visit to the mall, when in a whirl of frenzied last-minute Christmas shopping I careened into the salesgirl at the Aesop counter. After mutual apologies were exchanged, she gave me a sample of the Resurrection Aromatique (oooh fancy name!) hand-cream in a bid to make me purchase one of the handcare gift-sets available. Though I didn't actually end up buying anything that day, I was glad for the little gift of this hand-cream because I ended up with very raw hands courtesy of lugging shopping bags up and down an extremely crowded mall.
Trying this cream on before bed, I was immediately struck by how lush and herbal the product smelled. Not in a bad way as the scents of mandarin and lavender were extremely soothing after a hard day battling ruthless Christmas shoppers. I was also pleasantly surprised by the greaseless moisture...my hands literally soaked up this stuff! I was slightly wary that the large number of essential oils contained in this product would make my hands feel like an oil-slick. What's more, the texture was thick but emollient, spreading easily to cocoon my hands in a blanket of nourishing protection. This cream contains key ingredients of mandarin rind, rosemary leaf and cedarwood atlas for intensive moisturizing benefits, as well as essential oils of lavender and orange for soothing, aromatherapeutic effect.
While quite pleasant, I don't think I'd purchase the full-size because for one, I'm not a fan of the jar in which this hand-cream is packaged. I much prefer tubes for more hygienic, travel-friendly application. The scent, while lovely, is a tad too strong for me and I can see how this might contribute to the odd migraine or two when I'm simply not in the right mood for aromatherapy. That said, this would be a lovely investment for a little before-bed pampering. What better treat really, than to wake up to baby-soft, delicately-fragranced hands.
I'll continue to look elsewhere for my perfect handcream. In terms of price and scent, Aesop is just not for me.

I LOVE this handcream! I'm currently on my third jar of it and that says a lot because one jar lasts forever!!! It absorbs quickly, leaving you with moisturised but non-greasy hands. You only need a little bit and it makes all the difference. Admittedly, I wasn't a fan of the fragrance to begin with but I've gotten used to it and now I love the scent. I seriously cannot live without this stuff!

Aesop's Hand Balm is one of the first hand creams where I've actually finished an entire tube. Despite the fragrance being a little strong and not really to my liking, it's still proven to be a great hand cream overall. It has a creamy but slightly gel-like consistency, it distributes nicely and is well absorbed without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. BUT - I find that if I rub my hands too much, the oils in the cream separate out & leave a greasy sheen on my hands. So I find it's better to rub my hands only to distribute the cream, and then pat my hands together for the cream to be absorbed. This way, I get a matte, non-greasy finish to my hands, and they feel very soft and smooth. On the flip side - if you don't distribute the cream well enough over your hands and rub together, the cream does not absorb very well & you just end up with this white layer of cream on the top of your hands.

The only other issue I have with this cream, as previously mentioned, is the strong citrus herbal smell. It kind of grew on me, but I still don't love it - I wish it was a bit more subtle, but then I guess the word 'Aromatique' wouldn't really apply!! First, you can definitely smell the orange/mandarin, followed by the lavender & then a 'herbally' scent - I think it's the rosemary. The lavender is nice and calming though. Also, I'm not too keen on the metal tube (makes getting all the cream out difficult), but I think it's more convenient than the jar. The pump looks great - wish it came in a smaller size though!

Overall, I think it's one of the best handcreams I've used, but as long as I apply it without over-working it into my hands, it remains a nice non-greasy handcream that's great for all year round use.

I admit that I love the scent of it, but it really doesnt hydrate my hand, the cream doesnt feel sink into my skin, not sure why though. Not going to buy it, still find Clinique's water therapy is a lot better ..

Love love love this hand cream, i have been given a lot of handcreams over the years as presents (seems like an easy thing to get people and relatively cheap i guess) and never found one i really like except Aveda's hand relief.

well my hand relief finished and i decided to try something else, and there is this Aesop store near work so i decided to give it a go as i purchased things from my mother in law there before and she seems to like the brand very much. I tried on the hand cream and i just love the smell.

some people might find the smell quite strong but rest assure it goes away fairly quickly, it absorbs well and doesnt feel greasey at all. I love this hand cream, but no more or less than Aveda's hand relief because its just as good, but i love how aesop's glides and rubbed in very easily and as i said, i just love the smell.

hate the packaging though, i am not a big fan of those metal painting tubes, i would much prefer if its just your normal plastic tube, but hey, the product is fantastic. A little bit more expensive than your normal hand cream, but at $24.95 AUD i cannot complain because it cost just as much for a tube of Aveda hand relief and it will last for quite some time.

I LOVE THE SCENT! It just fills the room and makes me really happy and relaxed. I like to use my hand creams on my lower arms and lower legs but this is way too expensive to do that. The price has increased yet again!

This hand balm from Australian cult favorite, Aesop, will heal the skin on your overworked hands. It absorbs quickly and and leaves a non-oily protective film around your hands to bring back moisture, supple-ness and softness to rough skin that have seen better days, It smells great too; light citrus with a hit of freshness. Be sure to reapply after each wash of your hands.

I am a sucker for packaging and I like how this looks. It reminds me of those squeeze-tube paints I used to use in art class. The handy black tube will fit into any day bag and the sleek packaging is great for those who don't want random strangers to know they carry around a tube of hand balm. You can use this on your body too!

love this hand cream!!! its the best i've ever used (not that i've tried any other expensive creams lol, but i've tried all the cheaper drug store ones and they're crap). i've been using this since i was 12, my whole family uses it, and we often get complimented that our hands are soft, yay lol. it softens any hard skin especially if you focus on rubbing the cuticles. it may be a little greasy, but for the benefits its very worth it. i like the smell of this, not artificial smelling. will buy this again (although it may be expensive, but i find buying the large pump bottle works out to be cheaper, and will last you ages since you don't need alot every time you use it.)

Smells great. soften when its used. Cuticles are gone!! Although, when on I love the product, but it doesnt last. Everytime you wash your hand, reapplication is neccessary. Skin goes back to it dry self everytime without use...

This stuff is fantastic, I have the big pump bottle I keep by my bedside, and carry a tube in my handbag all the time. Best hand cream I have ever used, have repurchased many times. I get really dry hands due to my work and this stuff is a lifesaver - really moisturising and I like the scent

This is the best hand cream I have ever used! Most other hand creams leave a greasy feeling on my hands, which I hate, but this one sinks right in, and after a couple of minutes I am left with soft hands and no slippery feeling! The sales assistant told me that this is because there are no silicones in this cream, so it doesn't "float" on top of the skin like some other hand creams do. I love this product! I will definitely be repurchasing.

I am taking one lippy off for the packaging, which is a little cumbersome. The little screw cap on the tube is fiddly, and the large bottle with the pump is too big to be practical for one person. There is a jar in between the two sizes, and it would have been great if it was a bottle with a pump instead of a jar with a screw-top lid - you have to dig your hand in to the jar to get the cream out, which is messy.

For once it is an advantage to live in Australia - most skincare is more expensive here, but Aesop, being an Australian brand, is cheaper - yay! I paid about $20 for the 75ml tube.
