I was so lazy to write review, 1 of the reasons is English not my native language then. ^^;; However I've been using this cream for nearly 2 years now, and dont wanna replace it as long as they keep this reasonable price! I started using antin-aging creams 6 years ago, and tried from pricey brand names (Dermalogica, Olay, Shiseido, Clinique) to cheaper ones (Joppa, Nivea, Hada Labo..); since then my skin has no big problem (no lines, no sagging) but still got thinner with few tiny spider veins showing off that irritating! Now I discovered a routine really worked to prevent aging AMAP for the future; that is natural oils like rosehip seed oil, argan oil, collagen pills, and, off course, sunblock. They get along so well with Merlot line. I prefer the night cream to the day one. It's more nourishing with grapeseed oil, Matrixyl (?) yet absorb quickly and moisturize enough. My skin seems healthier than 2 years ago, and I still look younger than my age, that's all I need. Maybe the good result is mostly from the rosehip seed oil, who know, but I've never found a cheaper moisturizer with a fair amount of anti-oxidants. I do know some organic lines free from harmful chemicals, but very costly like Pangea Organics, Juice Beauty, I rather choose Merlot and invest in supplement tablets.

My hubby started using this and he's getting comments from the guys about what is it that he's using!
I started using this a few months ago. I sometimes use my Lancome Genefique under this to add moisture. No where on the Merlot label does it say that it moisturizes (just says helps to retain moisture). If you want moisture/hydration use something else. This cream "promotes collagen formation and helps to reduce deep lines and wrinkles" and I am happy to report that it's doing that for both me and the hubby!
It's a bit pricey - I paid $19.99 at Walgreens, but it works for me. I also use it on my hands at night. BTW - this is always out at my Walgreens. I've been trying to get it for a few weeks now since we are running low, and when I walked into Walgreens yesterday they only had three left on the shelf.
The packaging is nothing special, but again, I'm all about quality and results and I don't really care what the label looks like.

I love this! One day when I couldn't find my daytime moisturizer I threw this on, and realized after about a week of doing that my skin looked radiant! perhaps I will buy the matching day cream! It is super moisturizing, totally worth the 14$ at walgreens!

Absolutely amazing. This cream has done more for my skin in one week than any other cream I have ever used. All the others I have tried have all been disappointments; and trust me I have tried a bunch. I've wasted a lot of money on moisturizers and never felt like they truly hydrated my skin. I have found my HG moisturizer and there is no need to look any further. I would buy this stuff by the tub just to slather it all over my body. Fine lines that I thought would never go away have disappeared. It is truly a miracle product to me and I hope they never stop making it. I bought the regular jar and not the "Moonlight Radiance" at Walgreens.

Woohoo!!! I'm so glad I got to try this stuff! As a pretty cheap girl, I didn't want to spend the $20 on this moisturizer just to potentially hate it. Luckily, I won a Facebook contest and received this in my gift bag. An let me say... It's absolutely divine.
I have VERY acne prone skin. My face can break out within minutes of putting something on my face.. But this stuff just soothes it and plumps it right up! I also find that it absorbs crazy fast, leaving me with a matte surface to start my foundation makeup.
Try it. You'll thank me later.

I originally got this in a beauty sample box. I have a hard time finding good night creams since too often it will go on wellin the evening but I end up waking up to oily and greasy skinthe next morning. This was fantastic! It wasn't too thick going on but moisturized well. It didn't feel tight to me like I've read on other comments. I woke up feeling moisturized without feeling oily. Best part is that it smells great. Again, I loved it. Very refreshing

Horrible produdct! It gave me cystic acne and dried out my face really bad. I can't tell if it was the squalene (that's shark liver oil peoples) or the Matrixyl 3000 (whatever that is). EXPENSIVE for what it actually did. Sensitive skinned gals: avoid this product if you can.

I really wanted to like this cream but all it did was dry my skin out. For the first few days or so my skin looked great, very glowly and plump. After around a week my skin started to get dry patches and I noticed some fine lines around my mouth seemed more prominent than usual. My skin looked dehydrated and the only thing I have done differently is add this cream into my night time regimen. I stopped using it and my skin is getting back to "normal". This cream does have great ingredients and the peptides are very high on the ingredient list. It's a shame it didn't work for me.

I love this night cream. It makes my skin so soft and smooth. Existing acne marks have significantly faded. I think the price is great for the size. I was paying the same price for an Olay night cream that was half the size. Also, a little bit of this goes a long way - I used a blob a little bigger than a pea and it covers well. I don't mind the tub at all. Overall, my skin is softer, smoother, and has a great healthy, dewy look. I have been using for awhile, will continue to use, and eventually re-buy.

Worst face cream ever. Like others, I bought this because of the reviews and because Argireline and Matrixyl 3000 were the 2nd and 3rd ingredient listed. Well it completely dried my skin out. It left my skin super dry, super tight, and crepe-y looking. I tried this a number of ways because I really wanted to get those high quantity peptides and hoping I could find a way to use it, if not for a moisturizer specifically. I tried it over face oils, under face oils, over HA serum, under HA serum.. no matter what I had on my face before or after, this cream dried it out. I literally drenched my face with meadowfoam oil and shea butter. Then I added this cream on top. Result: dried out my face completely.. as in worse than if I had washed it with soap and not added any moisturizer at all. It's like it sucked all the oil and water from deep layers in my skin and left this paper mache thin onion skin type face afterward. I have never seen anything like it. I'm guessing it hasn't been pH balanced at all and is interfering with the acid mantel of the face. How else to explain it? It's corrosive. Obviously it works for some people, perhaps oily skin types, but if you're at all dry, save yourself the money and just wash your face with super cheap hand soap under scalding hot water and then dry it under the direct light of the desert sun for a whole week and you'll have the same effect. Dramatic? Yes, it is that bad.

An excellent night cream for those of us with oily skin who avoid adding more oil to it. It's very light and absorbs quickly. At first I'd use more than I'd have to because I was used to thick night creams but a little goes a long way. This works so much better for my skin type and the slightly grapey aroma is tolerable. I hate tubs though :/

Pros:
Smells pleasant (very lightly of grapes)
Gel-cream texture
Cons:
Not that moisturizing
Kind of expensive for drugstore
Comes in a tub (a tube would be nice, I think)
Verdict:
I was surprised how high of a rating this has, because this doesn't moisturize that well. I have oily combination skin, and my lower cheek tends to feel tight after I wash my face. When I use this on that area, it still feels tight after the moisturizer is absorbed. For other parts of the face it's nice though. This is a bit thicker than the daytime Merlot moisturizer with SPF 15.
For $19.99 (sometimes on sale), it's worth a try if you're just looking for a light moisturizer, but it's definitely not what I consider a night cream.

I enjoy using night creams and I was glad to find this at Walgreens on sale. It has a nice gel-cream texture that sinks in well and doesn't clog my pores. My pores were tightened and my skin had a beautiful dewiness in the morning when I woke up. It seemed to work particularly well in calming the inflammation in my cheeks and it had a good fruity smell to it. I have the toner and SPF cream as well and they all do a wonderful job for my skin. I look forward to trying the facial mask/peel next. For reference, I have sensitive and oily skin that is prone to eczema.

I really like how this feels. I'm doing glycolic and lactic acid peels, so I need some moisture, but at the same time my face has been getting greasy at night.
This stuff fits the bill - hydrating but not greasy.
Smells great, too.
I looked up the ingredients, and unfortunately the bulk of them are just fillers and general moisturizers. All the good stuff is just a sprinkling of actives and antioxidants so they can put it on the label, I think. I mean, they're listed after preservatives.
I like it, but if I'm going to put on a lotion I want it to actually do something other than moisturize.

Love love love. I want every one in the world to buy this so they never discontinue it! Its very refreshing to put on and absorbs quickly. I have acne prone skin and this does not aggravate it. Im using it with proactiv. You do the 3 steps let everything dry and then apply this moisturizer. My skin loves me for it. You should definitely try this one out.

This is a great moisturizer I would say both for evening and for the day. It is lightweight and it has a pleasant grape-y scent that fades quickly. It sinks into the skin fast and I feel that it moisturizes adqeuately. I have oily skin so it is just the right amount of moisture. I'm not sure if someone with dry skin would like the amount of moisture this provides. You really don't need too much product. Just a few small dabs on the face go a long way. It comes in a nice, big tub. I do wish it was a pump or squeeze bottle, but it's not a big deal. It's an average moisturizer for a good price from the drugstore. I'd purchase this one again over the Olay moisturizer though.

I've been using this for almost a week and really like it. It feels moisturizing, but sinks into skin fast and isn't greasy. I use this at night, and wake up in the morning with soft skin. I got a free travel sized pot from Walgreens that was attached to my Merlot Moisturizer w/SPF 15. I'm glad it came free with the other pot, because I was wanting to try this as well, but it is $20. I know I can return it to Walgreens if it doesn't work - but even this little pot will last me a while! When the little pot is gone, I will buy a full sized one at Walgreens.
The scent is a little like fruit loops or something - it isn't overly grapey.
I have an oily t-zone, and sometimes dry mouth/chin/under nose area. This has not made me any more oily, nor has is broken me out.
My suggestion would be to not have this in a pot - I wish it was in a squeeze tube.

This cream is so smooth and non-greasy. It has great texture and my skin absorbs it well. It feels so nice and makes my skin glow in the morning. It's hydrating and plumps up the skin. The only thing is that it doesn't last long. I got 5 sample packets but I can see that it would be very easy to go through a jar of it. It is also pricey for d/s. I don't know if it has long term effects or if it's temporary.

I have to admit that I wasn't sure about a night cream because I'd never tried one before, but I got a sample and I adore it.
My skin is oily but because of acne treatments it can get dried out after washing, and this cream is really moisturizing without that greasy feeling. You don't need a lot, it sinks into the skin and absorbs fairly quickly. This is wonderful especially for the upcoming winter months when I know my skin is going to get even more dry.
It's pricey for a d/s product but since you get a fair amount in the jar and you don't need to use a lot at once, it's a great deal. Try it! Especially if you have oily skin, Merlot products are excellent for oilier skin types.

I use a little of this moisturizer over my Renova in the morning, before I put on my foundation. It makes my skin so soft and kinda glowy. I have sensitive skin and everything seems to make my skin break out in red bumps, not really zits, just bumps. Makes my foundation go on smoothly and keeps my skin fairly plump throughout the day. Will update if anything bad happens from it. But so far, no bumps, and made my skin very soft :)
