I can't rave about this enough. I have dry skin but I'm prone to breakouts. I love how this makes my dry skin feel plump and hydrated without using any oils. I love the texture of this, the color, the scent, the ingredients, it's all around a great night cream. If I were older I would probably want my night cream to be more dramatic in the anti-aging department but at 22, this is the perfect night cream. This feels so luxurious and is so cheap at $20.

I like MB, I like MB a lot. I had combo oily/dry/acne prone skin, and my skin loves oil. Because my skin loves oil, seaweed night cream and I just don't get along as much as I would like because of its oil free nature.
This would be a good night cream in summer though I think.
The little tub lasts quite a while, as you really don't need a lot of it. I just found by the time I had finished, I didn't really notice much else. Heck, I was subbing it with j&j moisturising day cream because it was thicker and have me more moisture.
Just not for me I'm afraid!

So. I bought this during a big MB haul at Ulta because I was finally sick of 'just dealing' with my ongoing acne issues(I'm in my 20s). His drying lotion/masks have received fairly positive reviews in this regard so I was excited to try it. I wish I had done a little more research before I sprang for this. 2-3 weeks into my new regimen, I couldn't figure out WHY I was still having cluster eruptions around my chin. I had a hunch it was the moisturizer because every other product didn't contain any comedogenic ingredients. Turns out it's the bladderwrack extract(the seaweed part). It is known to worsen acne. It also made my skin feel slightly greasy after application, and I was just hoping it was my skin still getting used to it. Turns out, it's just not a good for oily/acne-prone skin. I feel bad giving it a low review because I'm sure it's good for somebody with normal/balanced skin. But if you're having issues with breakouts....don't bother. You'll have to spend 2 weeks clearing up a gigantic breakout. And, as others have said, the smell is a bit overwhelming.
BUUUT, the Bladderwrack is added for anti-aging properties. So if that's your thing...this might work well for you.

I will never understand why companies make face creams with fragrances. It makes no sense to me. this is a good cream, but because of the fragrance it makes my skin itch when i first put it on.

I have repurchased this product two times already. I absolutely love this product. I know this is a night cream but I use this during the day as well because I'm so addicted to how it makes my skin feel. My skin is very acne prone and quite picky when it comes to products. I have not experienced any breakouts while using this and it really balances my skin since I use an acne cleanser which can be drying. My skin is quite oily and I usually wake up in the morning a grease ball but when I use this product I wake up with just nicely hydrated skin. I mentioned that I do use this during the day also and it is not ideal because I have oily skin but when I don't use this, my skin gets tight and flaky. My skin is just strange... but I'd much rather oily skin than dry skin and this product helps immensely.

This is my go-to nighttime moisturizer. I am in love with how well it moisturizes, how it leaves my skin feeling. I definitely feel like my skin is adequately nourished and is reaping the benefits of this product.

Amazing! I have tolerant skin, so I can't really attest to any clogging issues. My skin is smooth, plumped and glowing every morning. I am going to be a lifer with this product!

First review I've written - really like this product. Have only used it for a week or so, but it is rich without feeling greasy in the morning. Feels a bit overwhelming when you first put it on, but in the morning, my skin is glowing and smooth.

I'm 28, with dry acne prone, sensitive, some scarring, Irish-Scandinavian skin. That said, I love this stuff. (My skin generally like MB products however.) I had used a sample I received with another purchase and liked it so much I bought a jar. The smell is very pleasant, it reminds me of Meet Mark's beach products (Avon company). This is non-greasy and sinks right in. It has never given me acne, but like I mentioned, I have dry skin so the more moisture I can get the happier my skin is. I only use it at night, because I need SPF too much to use it during the day, but I don't need a whole lot as it spread around nicely. One jar lasts me 6 months, so it comes out as not very expensive at all, considering my $12 Aveeno would only last a month. It hasn't helped my tiny wrinkles, but meh, I'm only 28 and maybe if I use it long enough all the anti-aging properties could do their magic. If I combined it with wrinkle reducing products it could possibly work better in that department, but I'm happy with "anti-aging" at this point and am not too worried about wrinkles yet. As for the reviewer who said this smells like cat pee, I wonder what your cat drinks, as this smells just like a flowery ocean to me haha. I will continue to purchase! HG! (I used to use the Bee Pollen and find this is much better.)

I'm a regular Mario Badescu product user (and love most of their products!) but one day I was curious and wanted to try out the Seaweed Night Cream.. bad decision. I put this on at night and the next morning, I noticed that I broke out like crazy on my forehead. I rarely get any acne on my forehead... so I stopped using it after that. Good thing it was only a sample!

I'm loving this night cream!
I have been using it for 2 weeks. it isn't expensive, it make my skin plump and hydrated...wake up with a beautiful soft plumped skin...and hasn't break me out (finger crossed)
i just don't like it cause it comes in a jar...but then again, I always wash my hands before digging my night cream..

I received this as a sample along with other samples of Mario's line. I thought it looked kind of heavy but I have been having some dry patches around my nose and figured, "why not?". First off, the smell, I really liked it. The scent reminded me of something from childhood I can't put my finger on. One reviewer said it smelled like, "cat pee", I could only WISH my cat's urine smelled like this. Smells are very subjective though and all noses are different. I applied the cream one night before bed and was hoping for some relief with the dry patches. It did help but I also had a huge pimple on my chin the following morning. I am just hoping it was my monthly hormonal acne. It could possible be. I am on the fence over trying it again though because I am afraid I will get another painful pimple. I'll probably break down and try it again because I really liked the smell and texture.

This was a nice, deep moisturizing product. I used it both in the nighttime and under my makeup during the day. It went on nicely (not too greasy), and it kept my skin soft. I did notice that it needed reapplication during the day, though. So, bummer... but while it worked I enjoyed it! So besides the reapplication, the only other problem I had was the smell. It smelled like cat pee. My husband hated it, but strangely my cat liked to sniff my face lol So cat pee smell bad! Despite this I would still buy it again, but I wouldn't wear it if you're getting close up to people (or cats).

You really have to take all reviews with a grain of salt. Everyone's skin is different.. You also don't know what other products are being used in their skincare routine, diet stress etc... Ok so my review - I love it! I was very worried when I put it on as skin looked greasy but when I woke up in the morning my skin looked so soft and nice! It was the only new thing is introduced to my skincare so it did have a good effect for me. My skin is oily in t zone but normal everywhere else.. Hormonal breakouts and my skin loves it! I go have sensitive skin and didn't have any problems. I would suggest getting a sample first and only using this at night. I love this cream and am interested if others get a soft and clear result too?! I'm surprised with the very average rating... I wish people that didn't like it would then follow up with what they think is better... I'd live to know!!

I love this! I have to admit it had to grow on me though. I tried a small sample and was unsure about it so I bought the full size and it's been great. I love the ingredients, texture (non-greasy), and smell. Love the fact that it has bladderwrack extract, collagen, and hyaluronic acid (great for anti-aging). I wake up with nice skin. I have dry skin and this moisturizes well. It hasn't caused breakouts either. I don't really think that people with oily skin would like this. One of my favorite MB products.

This moisturiser can compare to the most expensive one. It really helps my acne prone skin and really nourishing. I think every girl need good night cream cos the skin renewing process while you are sleeping is the best. This probably suits more for middle age than teenagers. I'm loving waking up with smooth and glowing skin. I really do recommend if you are considering buying this.

I like this night cream. I'm young, so prior to using this, I'd never needed a night time moisturizer before. But, because of the drying acne products I apply at night and due to the weather changes, my skin has become a bit thirsty. The consistency is like creamy puddy, and it's got a slight pearlescent cast to it. It's packed with great ingredients, and I appreciate that it's oil-free. It's thick and rich, but I think this moisturizer would be just as well suited to someone with dry skin as it would be for someone with slightly oiler skin. People with normal to combination dry or slightly oily skin will enjoy this cream's silky consistency and satiny application. Because it's thicker, it drags a bit on the application, so you just need to rub it in a bit more. When I use it, I wake up with a well rested glow, and my skin feels plump and balanced. Lastly, I have never broken out from this cream. Thus far, I'm content

I really love this product. I think what people need to understand about it is that, even though it's oil-free, it's really suited to people with DRY skin. Even on the packaging it says "for dry skin types prone to clogging". I have dry skin that is susceptible to milia, so I need products that are deeply moisturizing while also being oil-free. And for that purpose, this product is PERFECT. I'm not surprised that other reviewers with oily skin types have found this to be too heavy.
I actually quite like the simple packaging, I think it suits the brand's focus on natural ingredients. And the green cream was surprisingly beautiful looking and smelling! The only con is that it feels a little greasy when you first apply it.

I really wanted to like this product, unfortunately it made me break out. My face rarely breaks out, maybe once a month. On top of that it is never usually cystic acne except once a year I will get one randomly. During the first few days of using this cream I loved it, it is very heavy so I would use only a dab of it and it would do the trick. After a few days I got a huge cystic acne on my chin. Assuming it was just a consistence that I would get one after starting a new cream. After a few days I got another cystic acne on my chin, then on my cheek. Needless to say this cream was the cause not only for my cystic acne but also black heads developing on my forehead which hasn't had any problems in years. I immediately returned this lotion to the store & began using another which within a week my skin is finally back to normal. I am not sure if this was just a reaction to my skin, because some people on this board love this cream but for me it gave me horrible acne.

I started using retin-a and my skin was clearing up but it was also becoming super sensitive red, peeling flakey mess. Everything I tried either didn't moisturize enough, burned horribly or started making me breakout because it was too heavy........then I tried mario badescu seaweed cream! It has seriously been a miracle for me, my skin has returned to normal and it hasn't caused any breakouts. I am now hooked for life, and at $20 a jar it is WAY cheaper than the dermalogica moisturizer I was using. The only downside(and the reason I gave it a 4) is that it smells pretty strong, but I will forgive it that because it does such wonderful things for my skin!
