Alongside the Body Shop body butters, this has the best texture of any paraben free cream I have tried. It's thick and moisturising but it also sinks in quickly without too much greasiness. I like the smell because there is just enough black pepper to stop it smelling like a freshly peeled orange (though I would prefer even more pepper). It's a slightly more sophisticated smell than the various Body Shop options (except for Olive).

i've been using bliss for over 4 years now. i love the brand, but it's so expensive that i only use it when i need an indulgent pick-me-up. this scent is nothing less than amazing. i literally smell like candy all day. the lotion is pretty dense, so it works really well on knees and elbows. i'm a sucker for pretty packaging, and even just looking and dispensing this product feels luxurious. great product!

This is the best smelling lotion. Maybe better to not mix with a perfume, as it is pretty strong. But it smells great, and I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. I used it everyday and lasted about a month. It dries fast and keeps skin soft all day.

Love this stuff. Totally overpriced, maybe not the most moisturizing but I love the texture and adore the scent.

This cream smells wonderful; I wish it moisturized as well as it smells. As others have described, it's a sophisticated, deep, spicy orange smell (that my boyfriend loves, by the way). The problem for me is that it just doesn't moisturize well enough. I have very dry skin in the winter and need the most moisturizing thing I can find, and Korres body butter has done a much better job for about the same price. I so wish that this one worked for me, or that Korres still made an orange-scented body butter. I would say that this works well in the summer, except I use Weleda's Sea Buckthorn Oil then--it's the perfect consistency and absorbs well, and smells similar to this Bliss body butter. So I would buy it again, but only if I couldn't get the Weleda oil.

I received this as part of a gift set and its a good moisturiser, sinks in quickly and has a nice uplifting citrus yet spicy scent. Its nice and I enjoy using it but I wouldn't purchase this myself as I find the smell fades away really quickly and whilst its pleasant to use it doesn't blow me away.

So all in all its a decent moisturiser and its great it is paraben free but I think there are nicer moisturisers out there.

This is my first Bliss product, and it's really set the bar high for all other body butters. Moisturizing, but definitely not greasy, this body butter has really soothed my dry winter skin. The scent is a little strong at first -- upon application, I always think "Hey, I smell like orange juice!" -- but that definitely fades over time to a subtle citrusy scent with a hint of white pepper. The only downside is that this body butter is pretty expensive -- if I hadn't gotten it as a gift, I'm not sure I would've bought it for myself; now that I have it, I think I'm hooked.

I'm not usually a fan of Bliss-branded products, but I have to say, the Blood Orange and White Pepper line is phenomenal. It's all about the scent: picture the most delicious, most fresh, most heavy-with-juice orange hanging off the branch in some beautiful place. That's what this smells like, and it is one of the most invigorating and mood-boosting aromas ever. I don't smell a lot of white pepper, although frankly I'm not sure what that smells like--this is pure, intense orange, as if you buried your nose in one, but not at all in the bitter/acidic way you might imagine--rather, it's supremely smooth, cool, subtly sweet, and easy on the nose. The products would be perfect for a morning shower; they are probably too energizing for evening. And no, it won't smell like you've simply been eating oranges--at least not at all in a bad way!

The body butter formulation is truly one of the best I've seen--the perfect balance of rich and spreadable. Normally I don't like thick butter as they don't absorb easily and take effort to spread, but runny lotions don't tend to be as moisturizing. This is the ideal blend of both--it's exactly at the midpoint of these two extremes. It deeply softens the skin, even in winter, but it isn't heavy or greasy. My skin feels silky and smooth after even a dab of this. Combined with the amazing smell, this moisturizer is the perfect perk-me-up for winter or anytime.

UPDATE: I've figured out how to describe the scent: it's fresh-squeezed orange juice at a pricey restaurant. You know: frothy, still swimming from the juicer, texture-y, super sweet, and so delicious you are happy to pay $8 for a second glass? That's exactly how these products smell

A bit too expensive to warrant a repurchase (I did buy this in a set off Strawberrynet), but the scent is fresh and unique (like the white pepper taking the boringness out of the orange), and it does get absorbed not like some crappy body butters that just sit on top of your skin. Just a tad expensive that's all for a body product.

It's pricey, as are all things Bliss. I love the fragrance; the pepper cuts the sweetness of the orange so it is more wearable. Very moisturizing, I splurge on the Bliss creams when I feel like a treat.

@ this price, it should have ALWAYS been paraben free and now it finally is.
Bliss budy butter works great. This fragrance is my favorite- its amazing.
The product IS very expensive IMO and worth it if YOU think it is. When I feel like splurging, I'll buy

This body butter smells soooooooooooooo scrumptous. It smells like true orange with just the slightest hint of something else (the white pepper I guess) that brings down the scent just a notch and makes it a tad warmer. The moisturizing quality is great too!

The cream is nice and thick. Smells very light, good for ppl who dont want an overpowering fake strong smelling cream. I normally have very dry legs feet and hands in the winter and this was one of the best creams I have used for that. Its a lil bit on the pricey side as I have tried creams from shoppers drug mart that can do the same thing.

This body butter is so yummy! I love all things that have an orange smell and this one has an extra kick. The scent is so unique....not synthetic at all. The formula is OK not the best I have tried...I would use this more as a hand cream.

Bliss products are undeniably expensive, but this body butter might just live up to the price tag (well, maybe). The body butter squeezes out of the tube easily, is thick and rich, yet spreads well on the skin. It's not greasy, and it didn't leave an oil slick behind on my hands. It also sunk right into my skin. Still, there's lots of good body butters on the market, so what really sold me on this one was the scent. The blood orange smells like a real, fresh orange, not an orange popsicle. This is not a fake scent, it's not too heavily fruity, thanks to being tempered by the white pepper. I found this to be a fresh, yet comforting scent- a nice touch of sunshine in the middle of winter.

Mildy orange, not at all peppery. Decent moisturizer. Equally effective if not better products at the drugstore.

I love the scent of this lotion! It's a crisp citrus that has just the right amount of staying power. The formula is also nice- it absorbs quickly and isn't greasy.

I ordered it in the gift set from Sephora with the matching shower gel. Love the scent, it is so fresh and pretty. I think this formula is a bit heavier than the Lemon Sage Body Butter, and I definitely think the results are better. It's Bliss, so the price is still obscene. But I would definitely pick this up as a once-in-a-while splurge.

I got this as a sample, as many other reviewers did. Texture is nice and thick like a butter typically is, but not so thick that it didn't absorb reasonable quickly. It took quite a bit of product, so I think a tube would be used up soon.

Now for the scent...
This butter smells like oranges and there is a slight hint of white pepper that tempers some of the orange-y sweetness. That being said, this product made me smell like I had dumped a glass of orange juice on myself at the breakfast table (I have done this in the past, so I speak from experience!). It smells absolutely wonderful, but I don't want to go through the day smelling like OJ. The scent does linger, and may clash with perfumes.

I think this product would be absolutely wonderful for a young girl, say up to about age 16, but doesn't work for my 41 year-old self.

This is my absolute favourite product. Not only am I a sucker for citrusy scents, but this body butter is the lightest and most moisturizing. I think a previous reviewer pretty much summed it up saying that it is really rich but also very light. It's not sticky or greasy and smells amazing. I personally can't detect the white pepper, but I love the scent of fresh oranges. The only downside is that it's so expensive ($37 CAD), but I loved it so much that once I had a 15% off at Sephora I had to buy it. This will probably last me forever since the tube is huge but I will most likely repurchase after I finish this. I hope Bliss makes a travel version of this soon as well!
