This is from a holiday collection a few years ago and I really wanted to like this cool sparkley black.... but it is not for me.
I wouldnt call this a glitter at all - not enough bling. It does have a little sparkle but it still looked goth to me.
I layered OPI serving up sparkle over it to jazz it up - but I still didnt really like it. Maybe because I am such a girlie girl - so if you like the look of this colour dont let my review put you off!!!!!!
I gave it a 2 as it applies very nicely - opaque stong colour with 2 coats and it is quite a unique colour.
Not my thing! Buy I am sure others will love....

This is great for those who do not like wearing black.
It's glitter brightens it up and makes it suitable to wear with just about anything. This polish'd be great especially during the fall/winter time.
One coat is pretty light and sheer, but two is enough to make it opaque.

Baby It's Coal Outside is a black polish with silver microglitter. This is great for those who think black polish is too harsh. The glitter both softens up the dark color and gives it an edginess. I love this as a manicure color for Fall and Winter.

Baby It's "Coal" Outside is from the Holiday in Toyland Collection. I think it's from 2008. This color is black but with lots of grey, silvery glitter on top. And I guess there's also a silver sheen add on top of the polish that makes it quite flattering. Not as boring as Black Onyx.
The application is great. The first coat is quite medium sheer but the second coat makes it opaque. I really like this color and hope it's not discontinued. Anyone who would like a vampy witchery color would love this color.

Nice black shimmer polish. Similar to 'My Private Jet' but much darker. I personally thinks it needs 3 coats to reach its full colour potential.

I got a manicure yesturday and wanted something trendy, dark and chic..This color looked so fun in the bottle so i gave it a try. Its the perfect DARK almost black polish color without looking too youngor harsh. The silver sparkle in it gives it a sophisticated yet edgy look. LOVED IT!

Shiny charcoal black with lots of silver microshimmer. A nice change from the usual sort of vampy, but not so glittery that it looks teenybopper-ish. Good formula too--I needed about two coats for full coverage. If you like this sort of look, Color Club's With Abandon is similar, but has bronze microshimmer instead of silver.

LOVE, LOVE this color. I had a mani and pedi done today and picked this on a whim. I normally get black but wanted something a bit different, and since I normally wear darker colors, I thought it would be perfect-and it was.
So...now I'm looking to buy a bottle online since they didn't have it at the salon.
A new staple.

I love this color on my pale, neutral leaning warm skin color (NC15). I don't particularly like black nail polish but bought this on a whim. It is a dark charcoal with icy crystal shimmer that is like glass tinged with silver. It is very unique and actually pretty elegant with an edge. It applies really well, looks great with 2 coats, and wears well. I happen to like the Pro Wide brush.

L O V E!!!! don't get me wrong, I love a bright, crazy nail color... but my go-to polish color is black!!. This is now my favorite black. I felt the name was fitting for this. It really has a coal feel to it, I always get compliments on this color. My boyfriend says its his favorite polish I wear too :]

Purchased this last year and wore it for months, then when the warm weather rolled in I put this on the shelf for safe keeping. Now that Fall is here this is the first thing I pulled out. As with nearly every OPI enamel this one is stellar in terms of color, wear and application. Enough black to service a Goth junkie yet the anthracite silver flecks make this ooze with elegance and dare I say...class. Love this one and will be very sad when it is no more. DH loves this even more than I do and actually requested I wear it this Fall ASAP. Too funny.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour - dark charcoal with silver sparkles. In terms of application, I found it a bit difficult to apply as it's quite chunky with glitter, but it does only requires two coats to look gorgeous. And it definitely requires a top coat to make it shiny, as when it dries alone it's quite matte. But that aside, I love this polish so much, I wish it wasn't LE, otherwise I'd buy it again and again.

OPI is the best. Love this color. The brush is awesome, and the polish dries fast. Great stuff.

I love this color. It is dark gray with glitter. Very fun on short nails.

black and glitter together in an xmas themed polish, what could be better? initially i got this because "baby, it's cold outside" is one of my favorite holiday songs. i love the color, it's so fun to wear! it's probably more charcoal than black, but i just adore the sparkle.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination, Fair Hair: Red Eyes: Brown
i like the glitter with the black, it makes for a unique color. it requires 2 coats, typical. it's staying power was great. i only hate how the glitter goes everywhere when you remove it.

I got this color on a whim, as I fell in love with the silver blue shimmer in the black polish! I had been so happy with the other colors from OPI's 2008 holiday collection, and I REALLY wanted to love this color. Unfortunately, I appear to be in the minority and had a similar negative experience to previous reviewers. Application was uneven and thick, and the glitter appeared to be yellow/greenish! Maybe it was the lighting or something, but I didn't really get the chance to find out as this polish began to come off in big chunks within 12 hours!
I might give this one another go, the shimmer still appears blue/silver in the bottle.

Oooooh. I got this on a whim on a trip to Ulta for something else. I saw it and was meaning to buy a black nail polish for the first time. I saw this one and just bought it. It's so pretty! It has shimmer to it inside, I wouldn't say glitter. It's a nice black but not too jet black. The shimmers inside it give a nice look so it's not a harsh black.

This is a lovely color, for black. On my last pedi, I choose this color. It lasted for three weeks and still looked super. Love the silver sparklies in it!!

I am shocked to read the negative reviews on this color! I love it, it is a deep dark charcoal shade that has the little flecks of silver glitter to sparkle it up a bit. I found it to go on evenly- as long as you don't goop on 1 thick coat! These darker colors require 2 lighter coats and a top coat to lengthen the life of the application, IMO. Mine lasted at least 1 week, and still looked good when i took it off- just minimal wearing on the tips of my nails. As with any polish app, you have to use common mani sense to prolong the life of the mani or pedi, so if you care for it, it will last. And for those who think it is too matte or too dark, try layering Brand New Skates over it- It looks great!
